booked in emergency after flight cancelled at midnight after long delay. Met by a excellent chap called Stefan. Only stayed a few hours before having to return to airport. But room was great, got some well needed sleep. Stefan was helpful with taxis and getting a very much needed coffee at 6:30 am. After returning home I discovered I needed info from the hotel so I could claim from the airline. Sent a message via Booking.Com and got a reply very quickly from the hotel reception team, who then got the information needed to me via email. This was very helpful and saved me a lot of additional stress.

The room size was very very home like. Almost excessive. Very well kept rooms with all of your mid range hotel features, but presented and organised, and delivered to a rather high standard. The staff were also welcoming and made sure I was taken great care of. Rooms were quite easily accessible, and the executive rooms are well beyond expectation, and at such a valuable price point. The location wasn't inherently bad, just more suited to local amenities rather than a last minute booking from my cancelled flight. Even at that, the staff made sure I was kept safe and well!

The location isn't that close to larger amenities. However, that isn't saying much if you plan to stay in nearby Stevenage!

Good location. Staff were friendly and willing to be flexible (e.g with an early check-in ). The rooms had small kitchenettes - we did not make use this time, but would be useful for so.eone on a work trip. Executive suites are away from the main hotel, they are quiet and well equipped. Good parking.

The bedrooms could use some modernisation - for example more electric sockets and ones near the bed would have been useful. Handy to have a kitchenette but the supply of utensils and crockery was poor. We struggled to access the WiFi.

The hotel was in a nice quiet location but close to town.

The hotel was very quiet with hardly any other regular guests. We found out that there were over a 100 refugee families staying there. This wasn’t a problem but obviously they couldn’t mix with any guests and as there weren’t any other guests using the bars or restaurant the atmosphere was none existent.

The staff were oustanding. Arrived at 3 pm food was not available until 5pm. However, i was not aware of this. Asked at reception and a staff member offered to make us 2 sandwiches. Everyone really went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable. Room was well presented and clean. The breakfast was well cooked. A great stay will use again.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly faces, the manager there told us that they weren't very busy that night and as such upgraded both our rooms to king-sized, completely free of charge. Furthermore, we didn't have to pay for any TV and our rooms had tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. As well as all this, with myself being new to the area, the hotel staff were more than happy to give me some insight into what the surrounding area had! The beds were super comfy too.

The breakfast could have been slightly better quality for the price, and the dining room was a tad on the cold side. otherwise, it was fine.

The reception staff is always so friendly and professional.. 1st time we had breakfast in the hotel.. we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast the service was excellent and very quick.. There is a great selection of breakfast from full English to croissant cereals and many more to choose from .. Excellent service ..

We can't find anything bad to say about this hotel always had a great experience,hence the reason we always book this hotel.. The rooms are spacious,the beds are super comfortable and the rooms are always spotless. 👍👍

The room we had was very spacious and comfortable. We had the Wilson room which was above and beyond what expected. I know now that when visit family again I will be able to us my mobility scooter if I book a disabled room.

Someone smoking in their room and setting the alarm off. Hope they got fined for waking everyone else up.

As before the staff were really nice and friendly especially the lady on the front desk who checked us in.

The plumbing was a bit random & we were in an annexe which although summer the heating was off so we needed the portable heater however this didn’t help keep the bathroom / bathroom floor warm. I feel the cold dreadfully so that aspect was not so good for me personally.

The room was great and even had a little patio area where we could sit out. The room was fir a disabled person however that did not deter the experience. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

A non-disabled room but as mentioned above that did not deter our stay
