Good central location for visiting Hertford. Helpful staff in the reception.

Rooms were noisy due to parties at night in the bar/restaurant downstairs. No fridge or safe in one of our two room. Restaurant gets very full during breakfast so need to book in advance. Even though I booked 2 rooms for our family a long time ago mentioning we were coming for a special celebration we got rooms on different floors and one of them was not nice with no view, small and with a bad smell. After we spoke to the staff they changed it to a nice room but which unfortunately was very noisy.

Location good for Paradise Wildlife Park, town is nice with loads of eateries. Food was excellent had offer for guests of 50% off and breakfast included in the room rate. Restaurant staff attentive. Room was clean with hairdryer slippers and iron. Kettle in room for hot drinks. Room had air conditioning. Liked the toiletries in the bathroom wanted to buy some but there was none for sale at Reception when we asked.

Single glazing meant it was noisy at times during the night/early morning. No decaf coffee or non milk option in room. Took a long time for hot water to come through to the shower lot of water wasted. Would be nice if there was a socket by the mirror in the room to use hairdryer there.

Location is excellent for all the local aminaties. The bar decor is superb with a great atmosphere, the bar tenders were attentive and the drinks were spot on. Room was clean and all bedding was freah.

We were lucky enough to be on the 3rd floor but could still here the music from the basement or the outside garden event. Breakfast was slow however was delicious. Being able to drink in the main bar at 19yrs old but not able to drink in the nightclub which has a 21yr protocol dose not really work especially as being a staying guest. Overall though a very pleasant stay.

Nice room with comfortable furnishings and thoughtful guest amenities like a fan for white noise and comfort, a tea+coffee tray with some treats, toiletries and hair dryer, etc. Hotel staff were very warm and helpful upon arrival. Great breakfast included.

The hotel is located in a good central area right in the pedestrian square of Hertford. There are pubs and restaurants all around. I could hear the base thumping from the bar below but my room had features like a solid entry door and good windows that muffled the sound well so it didn't really bother me. Consider requesting a room at the back of the hotel if staying at the weekend.

Breakfast was excellent, very good value for money. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, all queries were dealt with on time. The bar staff in the bar next door were excellent. The hotel is well situated in the centre of town, very easy to get to anywhere from the hotel.

We did have a problem with getting hot water on two days but they did know about the problem and soon had it fixed. The shower heating control was digital but could find no signs to indicate what the symbols actually meant except for the temperature one, difficult to understand for someone with poor sight.

we stayed here twice in the month for ease to get to a venue and a 50th Birthday party. we were comfortable on both stays and glad I requested a cooler room for the second visit after passing out in the night and injuring my rib 🥲 the restaurant was on point and we took advantage of the invitation to dine with 50% off food on Saturday…. the team within the hotel were always so lovely and definitely an asset to your business.

Comfortable bed and room, right in the town centre. Nice range of teas provided. Staff are friendly and amenable. There's a security guard on the Saturday night at the door. The breakfast is fantastic -you choose from the menu and it's made to order, all the usual brunch options made to a high standard and served in their restaurant.

The price I was asked to pay on arrival was slightly higher than the booking.com price. The app said the price was inclusive of VAT but I was told at the hotel it was exclusive of VAT and the booking.com price was incorrect. Not a huge deal for me but people should be aware of the issue when booking.

Clean comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast that was freshly cooked to order.

Very loud music until 2am on Friday and Saturday and again until after midnight on Sunday which prevented sleep (even with earplugs). On the Saturday night the music from a function in a room close to our bedroom was so loud the bathroom door, window and even the bed vibrated.

Good location, nicely decorated bedroom and a good breakfast. Price was what was expected for staying overnight on New Years Eve. We would definitely stay at Hertford House in the future.

Our bedroom was on the 1st floor and overlooked Fore Street and was subject to noise from below, if staying again would request bedroom towards the back of the hotel. Due to location Hertford House does not have it's own on-site parking.

The rooms are spot les and with good furnishings, the location is great for commuting, with the bus and train station close by, the hotel is in the centre of Hertford with lots of places to eat, drink and shop. The reception and breakfast staff cant do enough for you, and are very friendly indeed.

The bathroom has cracked tile on the floor of room 103.
