Wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful. Spacious room, large bed, good bathroom, lovely views and very clean. Pleasant restaurant and bar area, good food.

An old hotel in the process of being refurbished, work is continuing on the outside although most internal areas are complete, just a few areas that still need attention. Limited parking even though advertised with parking.

The location was a super spot room fantastic steak was lovely But had to pay £5.00 for chips Strange

Having paid 1230.00 for 4 nights To be told it wasn’t a hot breakfast which doesn’t show on Site we had to pay 10 pounds each for breakfast also 12.50 for parking which I would have thought it comes with room at over 300 per night We would have eaten there every night but it when you add it all up it was cheaper to eat out For less

It’s a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. The staff are all efficient, friendly and lovely to be around.

The only thing I would say is that the bar area is very small, and with outsiders also using it, there was often nowhere for us to sit and just have a drink or talk or read. We had to go out and try and find somewhere else which wasn’t ideal, or stay in our room. Given that there is a large function room unused for a lot of the time, more communal space would be good.

Staff happy and helpful. lovely views. food was good lots of choices for breakfast but not much choice for me as I am dairy free if I did not have a cooked breakfast could do with packs of margarine and a butter free pastry and more jams. I was given margarine when I asked for it and oat milk was available.

room 106 Bathroom, bathrobes were clean but were ruff and thread bare. Sink tap needs replacing stained and tarnished. shower plug hole cover broken. The radiator in bedroom was very lowed the temperature control was broken we were unable to turn it off and had to sleep with the window open. Reported it to front desk. the control was put back on as it had come off this fell off when we tried to turn it down. It was then turned off completely. There is limited places to sit and relax inside for the number of rooms.

Lovely size room & bathroom. Great location, fabulous views from the room & hotel. Staff very helpful & friendly. Booking the parking is a must. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Bad condensation in the morning, windows were streaming. Room could do with a lick of paint to cover up the marked walls & skirting boards, carpet needs a clean as has a few stains. Very dusty on the bottom of the wardrobe. It would have been nice to include a cooked breakfast in the booking.

This is a great hotel in an excellent location, lovely views across the estuary to Polruan and close to the town, 5 mins walk. We had a superb room with the views to Polruan and the estuary, spacious and very comfortable. The bar and restaurant area also look out directly as well. There are some coastal and riverside walks easily accessible from the hotel without needing the car. Which in Summer is probably very useful! There is parking on site, but booking is essential as I doubt it's enough when the hotel is fully booked. The nearest public car park is in the town!! If you pre-book you have an allocated slot, so it's always yours for the duration of the stay. Very good idea. Very nice staff and food was all good, as you would expect from Harbour Hotels. All in all an excellent stay.

Nothing really. If I am being "picky" I would have liked a few more choices on the menu, but we were there in autumn/winter and maybe in summer season it's a wider choice. It's a bit tricky to find the entrance, if you come from the wrong direction, i.e. need to turn right to get through the entrance into the lane don't even attempt it, unless you have a Fiesta or smaller, go around and come back the other way for a left turn!!

Location was excellent and the complementary Gin and Tonic upon arrival was a nice unexpected touch.

The exterior of the building is long overdue some TLC and creates a poor first impression. Having to pay a further £10 per person for breakfast each day was also a shock as when booked through booking.com it clearly states breakfast included. It does not state only continental breakfast included and a cooked breakfast is an additional £10 per person per day.

Our stay at the hotel in Fowey was nothing short of exceptional. We began our evening with pre-dinner drinks, which set the perfect tone for the night. The dinner was absolutely lovely, with delicious dishes and impeccable service. Afterward, we continued the night in the bar, where the atmosphere was simply unforgettable—charming and vibrant, making it the perfect place to unwind. The room was equally impressive, with a cozy and inviting charm. The bed and pillows were unlike anything I’ve ever experienced, providing an incredible level of comfort. This place exceeded all our expectations, and we’ll definitely be coming back!”

Everything was perfect

This was our third time of going back to the Fowey Harbour Hotel and it never fails to impress. We hadn’t booked a sea view but the room itself was perfect for our 5 night stay. The staff, from the moment we checked in were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast and the evening meal we had on two of the nights were lovely.

Our only issue for a hotel of this standard was that we had to ask for iron and ironing board to be delivered to the room - one would have thought this would be available as the norm.

Fabulous location on the Fowey Estuary with a short walk into town. We stayed in a deluxe sea view room (109) which was worth the money, the view was amazing! We also ate at the hotel for dinner, had afternoon tea and had breakfast included and the food was all amazing. The staff are so friendly and we look forward to returning.

It’s a shame you have to pay extra to park at the hotel but we appreciate its limited given the size of the town and the hotel will reserve you a space if available which luckily it was for us.
