We're living in Liskeard and it was our first stay in Lostwithiel for a night. So we had pleasant stay, very helpful staff, comfortable bed, clean, nice small room (really, as advertised in Booking.com pictures), but big bathroom with bath-tub. In room everything you need. We had some drinks at the bar after arriving at late evening. I took swim in the heated outdoor pool early in the morning, 7-ish. Afterwards we had tasty breakfast. Really, more couldn't be asked. We came on public transport, and the hotel is in easy walkable distance from the train station. We'll definitely stay again, probably for couple of days in winter.

The hotel was lovely. Very inviting staff and a lovely atmosphere. The room was comfortable and a fan was provided for the hot weather. A very enjoyable stay.

The only difficulty is access to the hotel as the roads for some routes are very steep and narrow. Make sure you research which route you will take to avoid this.

Everything went well. The room was lovely and clean. The swimming pool is fab. The staff are always excellent. Ive not eaten there yet but must as the menu looks good.

Now this is something I do have to mention. The door is locked at 10.00 at night which is fair enough. No problems with that. But we did have a problem trying to find the entrance to the back entrance. It was up a very steep, very dark unmarked lane. Ourselves and some other people took a long time to find the lane. Could you possibly put a sign up at the bottom with a small light just to direct us. I was starting to panic! The other folks even got out a satnav and they managed to find the lane but it wasnt easy. It was uneven ground and pitch black. Not easy.

Staff were excellent, and the room was lovely. Food in the restaurant was superb. Pool is a very good extra facility. Perfect location to use as a base for exploring beautiful Cornwall.

The restaurant was closed on Saturday and Sunday evening. On this occasion, as a solo traveller, I would have liked to have eaten in the hotel over the weekend. There are not a lot of other options in the town on a Sunday night. There was some confusion over the billing for my stay... but this was sorted quickly. There was no air con in the room, but a fan was provided, which helped a little.

This was a one night stay as part of a tour, and everything from arrival to departure was excellent. The hotel is located right in the middle of town with easy access to facilities and station. Plenty of free parking too. The booking in at reception was friendly and informative. My single room was a decent size, it was sweltering due to the heatwave as expected, but a fan was provided in advance. Bed comfortable; bathroom well equipped and clean. Very quiet night’s sleep which was much appreciated. Breakfast starts at 07:00 which was perfect, and the staff were attentive. The buffet was well stocked with lots of variety. Wifi worked perfectly with strong connection. I would be happy to stay again.

Good clean and comfortable accommodation with lovely pool. Breakfast and evening meals were tasty with good choice and reasonable value for money. Excellent access to town and surrounding countryside, and within a cars journey to the Cornish coast.

The bed was a little short - I am 6'2'' and the single bed was too short for me. Nothing else was wrong. I was helped quickly with a problem with the toilet in my room.

A great place to stop. Easy to find ample free parking. On-site restaurant.

We found one member of staff a bit abrupt. We ordered drinks with dinner and she straight away told us we have to pay for them. Next morning we went for breakfast and again “can one of you go to reception and pay for breakfast.”. I told her that we had paid for breakfast and she was debating with us. I stood my ground she then went and checked with reception ( which maybe she should have done before challenging us). Her apology was not very genuine.

Location, cleanliness, staff and free doggy welcome box. Late check-in but our keys were waiting. Warm, immaculate rooms. Hot shower and warm towels! Staff upon check-out were super friendly and welcoming (just moved to the town from midlands). My daughter left her phone in the room and they couldn't be more helpful with returning it. Polite and trustworthy staff! Thank you to the team. Highly recommended! A++

Hot chocolate would have been a nice option alongside the tea and coffee facilities, but that's just me. (biscoff biscuits made up for it though!)

Room was comfortably, warm, clean and well-equipped. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was good. Bathroom was a good size, had plenty of towels and the toiletries are nice quality. Parking was plentiful and accessible. Bar staff was very helpful and chatty and the bar area welcoming.

It took sometime to get the attention of the sole waiter in the restaurant as they were busy back and forth to the kitchen. I didn't like hovering around the doorway to the restaurant waiting to be seated. It was embarrassing. Especially so, as it transpired I could choose where to sit. I would suggest that , when the restaurant is understaffed, the signage is replaced to indicate, "sit anywhere you choose that doesn't have a "reserved for..." sign on the table"

Plenty of off road free parking and a good sized single room overlooking pool/restaurant. Pool area well maintained with lots of sunloungers to soak-up the sunshine between swims. Tea/coffee making facilities in room with well equipped shower/washroom ensuite

Rooms would benefit from air conditioning although it was unusually warm during my stay and stand-alone fans provided. Breakfast was good and plentiful although I felt a little overpriced at £15. Evening meal options extremely limited and again I felt did not represent good value. That aside, restaurant staff were excellent: polite, attentive and professional throughout
