A large and beautiful home with a fantastic room with quality furnishings. A wonderful view over the fields from the window, A lovely dining room with lots of breakfast options. My partner loved his salmon with scrambled egg.

The list of rules in the room with use of exclamation marks. Very strict on arrivals from 4pm onwards which I was reminded about on a couple of ocassions before arriving. Although I am sure it is not intended, it made you feel a little unwelcome. Luckily, the weather was glorious on the day of our walk (St Cuthbert's Way) so we could sit at the pub in the sunshine when we arrived early.

Room was great, very spacious and light. Sofa and bedding very comfortable. Very clean and nice selection of teas etc. Bathroom beautiful and clean and modern. Breakfast exceeded my expectations as it was a lovely large portion of well cooked vegetarian breakfast food. Plenty of tea and toast. Surroundings perfect.

The room was on the warm side and did not seem to be much air circulation at night. We didnt want to keep the windows open in the evening in case of midgies. Might have been helpful to have the fan on before our visit as didnt realise the room would heat up as much as it did.

Claire greeted us on arrival, we were made welcome from the start, Mill House is lovely and in a wonderful location. we were in The Mill Suite, so had a separate bedroom from seating area, the whole suite was extremely clean, very comfortable and bonus of plenty of satellite channels on TVs. Claire was very helpful with where to eat locally, so we tried The Border Hotel Pub, staff were very friendly and meals were reasonably priced and delicious. David is Claire's Husband, he cooked us a freshly prepared breakfast which was very tasty, we would highly recommend this Luxury B&B to all our friends and family

No complaints. every thing was great

A most accommodating stay at the end of a long wet walk, the room was very tastefully decorated clean, comfortable and Warm with a very powerful hot shower. The lovely freshly cooked breakfast set me up for the day. The hostess was a delight First rate.

I would of preferred a window looking outwards rather than a velux roof light, when the rain pored it was very noisy. But I was only there for a short time, (1 night) most of which I was asleep so It wasn't an issue.

Excellent breakfast in a beautiful part of the world. Having watched a thunder storm rolling through the hills in the evening we awoke to sheep in the paddock beneath our room. Perfect border region experience.

Maybe an opportunity to buy a wine to use the thoughtfully provided wine glasses but a bit of forethought on our part could have solved that.

Had a great stay in the Superior Suite at the Mill House. We were three guests - a couple and a friend and the space was perfect for us. It’s two adjoining rooms really with a shared bathroom - each space has its own tea/coffee facilities and own tv. We got such a warm welcome from the owner and her furry friends. Claire gave us excellent suggestions for dinner that night, and in Wooler the following night as we were walking St Cuthbert’s Way. Everything very clean and comfortable. Bathroom excellent with decent shower temperature and pressure.

Stunning location and house. Breakfast was wonderful and beautifully presented. Host was very helpful and we felt privileged to share her home. Lovely detail with refreshments in the room.

Wish we’d known about pre-ordering sandwiches (not sure where this info was?)

Comfortable and well-equipped bedrooms, large lounge, delicious breakfast and helpful and welcoming owners who recommended a great place to eat in Kelso (The Enchanted Vine). Top quality B&B.

Only minor downside was that our rooms had skylights rather than windows so the views of the lovely countryside outside were limited.

Location was excellent, Claire (proprietor) very friendly and helpful. Hearty breakfast with homemade preserves. Close to Border Hotel serving tasty meals at a fair price. Room and shower were spacious, and the bed linen/coverings top quality.

We would have liked mattresses to have been firmer.

Good breakfast. Beautiful property. Big rooms, spotlessly clean. Location excellent for where we wanted to be. Owners - particularly Clare who seemed to be front of house so welcoming and friendly. Great value for money and would stay there again.

Very small bar of soap in the bathroom for three people. A larger bar, or liquid soap would be even better and we didn't take shower gel, so a fixed wall unit by the shower would make it even better. This is not a criticism, but a constructive observation when compared to other places we have stayed.
