the location was great, parks really near and an easy walk to the shopping area. the restaurant was good, we sat outside on a gorgeous evening to enjoy our dinner and the breakfast really exceeded our expectations. we visited the Hunterian art gallery on Wednesday morning which was a fantastic experience and really easy to get to

the mattresses on our twin beds needed a thicker layer on top of the springs- maybe a pillow top mattress protector

Perfect location, the SEC is very close by, city center, art galleries and musea also at walking diastance. Many bars and restaurant in the area and the hotel restaurant offers a good range of different dishes at very reasonable prices.

No airco available and windows cannot be opened. Due to the warm weather conditions the roomwas quite hot, especially at night.

The location is good. Not too far away from the city centre. The room is spacious and clean. The breakfast is good. There are many selections of dinner in the bar and the prices are reasonable. There are many restaurants nearby. There is free parking but the parking spaces are limited.

The wifi in the room was weak and unstable. It affected the watching of YouTube etc.

Beds and room were better than expected and the staff were lovely

The parking is like 4/5 spaces in the back and there was parking on the street at the front free on weekends but I wish I knew the parking was so minimal.

I am 82 with jack Russel assistance dog and ambient (rollator) disabled . The staff were simply splendid. Nothing was too much...attended to my every request instantly and continually assisted me in an out - up and down the steps to entrance portico. I am not easily impressed being retired (NUJ) travel scribe. I had to leave for Argyll Hotel for one extra night (also excellent and as helpful) but returned for one more one night stay . continental breakfast as good as it gets.

Absolutely nothing! Of course I am doing good I am a professional you silly robot..I am 86, on a private visit.

The room was quite spacious, with a comfortable bed, tea facilities, hair dryer. The bathroom was nice. Looked newly renovated. Good shower and water pressure.

The window looked right into another apartment over the road which was awkward.

The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly.

The Wi-fi was awful, signal strength was so bad that we couldn't keep connected.. The onsite parking while welcome, was a bit of a nightmare to get back out of.

A lovely older gentlemen checked us in, he was very friendly and clearly very good at his job. He was cheerful and polite, made polite conversations with us as he checked us in and checked over our details etc. Gave us recommendations about the area and gave us a complimentary glass of fizz. We also had our evening meal in the hotel restaurant which was lovely and the staff were very nice.

When we were checking in another woman who worked there rudely interrupted the guy who was checking us in, she was very rude and patronizing towards him announcing to everyone in reception that he was on training. We felt her behavior was quite unnecessary. Later on I went to reception to book a table for dinner and again she was very rude. When asked to book a table she roller her eyes at me and sighed.

The hotel was nice, staff were very nice and accommodating, trying their hardest despite the pressures. Has a bar and resteraunt which is handy. Room was large and nice and warm. The lady dealing with breakfast service deserves an award for the workload she was having to deal with.

Staff seemed to be very overwhelmed at peak times, rooms not ready on time, felt sorry for the lady dealing with breakfast, she was rushed off her feet. Need to have more staff on the shop floor during busy times. Check in took forever and was a huge queue, due to all the additional security checks that needed doing. It seems management put in lots of rules and regulations then put bare minimum of staff on duty. Our room wasn't visited by cleaners during our 3 night stop, ran out of toilet roll and tea and coffee. Had to find staff to ask for more once we found them. Seems to be the lack of staff on duty for such a large hotel. (probably managements doing)

Cozy and comfortable room in an ideal location for the purpose of our visit. Well decorated interior that felt warm and welcoming.

Breakfast. We had paid extra on booking.com to include breakfast in our stay but when we arrived we were told that it only included continental breakfast which was extremely limited. If we had realised that the food options were limited and that we would still need to pay more for cooked breakfast we would have chosen the cheaper booking rate and just paid less for the breakfast when we arrived. Unfortunately we wasn’t able to try out the bistro restaurant as we had booked a table for dinner online but when we arrived in the restaurant we were told that the restaurant was closed.
