Hotel is set back from main road in a quite location, booked a King Size bedded room which was on the upper floor over looking the golf course, (room 285), room was clean and well decorated with large TV and shower/ Bath facility as well a mini fridge with complementary bottle water, soft drinks as well small bottles of wine and beer, didn’t use Spa facilities but used nice size Swimming pool, steam room as well as Jacuzzi, Food from Restaurant was good as well as bar area, Breakfast had plenty of choices , would recommend

Didn’t get a great night sleep due to the mini bar fridge cutting in and out about ever 30 minutes making a loud humming noise, king size bed mattress was comfortable, however the Quilt and pillows kept us awake due to the crisp packet noise every time you moved.

Large hotel with every amenity. Good grounds with ample car parking.

Our only concern was that the room was very cold when we arrived and there were no instructions for either the heating or air conditioning unit. In fact everything had been completely switched off. This included the heated towel rail in the bathroom. Turning the heating and towel rail on required locating the main switches at high level in the hallway to the room. Okay if you 6ft but how anyone shorter would manage is a puzzle. Instructions for the a/c were available from reception but a full facilities guide should be available in the room. A menu for the restaurant would be a good idea as well.

Good rooms, and great to have access to a golf course at reduced fee.

I did not like the early closing hours of the spa. Can't see the reason for the early closure, especially during the weekend when you'd want to stay late in the sauna. This was especially annoying this Monday. We explicitly asked at the reception for the closing hour, and it was promised to be normal Monday hours despite the coronation holiday. But when we arrived to the Spa in the evening, it was already closed due to the coronation holiday. Another negative point is also related to the spa. There's no possibility to get a beer inside the spa. Sauna without beer is just so wrong!

Excellent value for a comfortable and spacious room. I notified the team of my daughter's birthday before arrival and they kindly left out some sweets and a note wishing her a Happy Birthday which my daughter loved. Swimming pool and facilities are excellent and staff were lovely and helpful throughout the property. Breakfast was delicious although not as many options as we were used to at other buffet breakfasts. What was available was of a good quality, well cooked and served warm. Perfect location for touring the area with children, especially Belton House which is just next door with a huge adventure play area.

The main disappointment was the fact that the lounge food menu stops at 6pm and the only alternative is the more extravagant restaurant menu. We tried this for one night and the adult meals were lovely as a treat but not ideal for a family there for more than one night. The lounge menu would have been ideal had the restaurant kept it on. Instead, we were forced to leave the property to buy dinner and drinks elsewhere. We went to The Stag which was just 5 minutes away with lovely staff and the most amazing steak pie I have ever had. I would happily have stayed in the hotel and eaten had the lounge menu been available for dinner.

Room was very spacious with comfy beds. Lots of free excellent leisure facilities, driving range very reasonably priced. Restaurant had decent sized food portions for the prices and plenty of choice at Breakfast. Couldn't fault the staff either.

If I had to be really picky, the net curtain in our room had several holes and the window was not clean. Didn't bother us as we spent little time in our room but some would easily moan at. As a first time visitor, it would have been nice if the site facilities were explained in a little more detail at reception, but no real complains really.

I was so impressed by EVERYTHING at this hotel. No queue at check in, which is always a bonus and the process was quick. I travelled quite a distance to attend a work dinner in the evening. The food was beautiful. The room itself was perfect - huge. A choice of pillows and a very large comfortable bed. It's pribably the best nights sleep i've ever had when i've travelled for work. A big shout out to the morning chef. I was first down to breakfast at 6.30 and spent a good 5-10 minutes chatting to him. The hot breakfast was all cooked to perfection. Why can't all hotels be like this............

Everything was just super, reception, staff, bedroom and views. Restaurant was also very good.

The stairs down from the lift with our luggage. The noisy family who arrived on our second night. Their three children were a bit wild banging doors and running up and down the corridor. They were also seated next to us in the restaurant the noise from their table was an annoying distraction from our special celebration meal. Would be an idea to zone families with children in the same area. We were not the only guest who decanted to the bar area for our dessert to get away from them.

Hotel didnt feel childfriendly. It felt staff didnt like child to be in the hotel eventhough well behaved. Reseptionist didnt inform customer anything automatically such as re pool times, breakfest time, whether breakfest paid for, re restaurants or even check out times. We went to breakfest and we were told breakfest not paid. Breakfest -no water available...we had to ask for it Poor signs to find pool area - little confusing process

it’s a stunning property, gorgeous views and exceptional facilities. The sauna and steam room were impecable and the room itself was comfortable.

there is always little details that could improve a place. the sofa in our room had a large side tear in it for example and the patio we paid for was completely in the shade (balconies and other patios were in the sun mostly) we also had a slight issue of noise as the room backed onto their beer garden area.

The spa was nice, the rooms were comfortable and clean

While I was at a wedding, the staff went into My room and removed all the drinks from my fridge, nothing was said or any note left, this was done despite the fact i had put my card on account, so if I had drunk any I would have willingly paid, so when I returned to my room I had nothing to drink, also once I have checked in and unpacked i don't like people going into my room without asking or for bedmaking purposes
