Rose cottage was situated in a lovely quite location, the cottage was very attractive from the front and didn't disappoint inside either. Beautifully decorated and laid out, a lot of thought went into the decor ! Liz and Steve were wonderful hosts, kind and helpful in every way, the breakfasts were amazing ! Our room was very generous with lovely views across the well kept back garden, we enjoyed watching birds flying back and forth across the garden. The room was very clean and the bed was a very comfortable king size and very comfortable pillows. We wished we could have stayed longer, and look forward to a future stay in the not too distant future ! Thank you Liz and Steve, you made our stay very memorable !

We stayed at Rose cottage for 2 nights and couldn't have been happier with our stay. First, the inn keepers Steve and Liz are lovely, thoughtful, friendly hosts without being intrusive. Their rooms are well renovated spaces in a very old building. Their rooms are well and tastefully remodeled. The shower was hot with good pressure. The room was impeccably clean and had thoughtful touches like mugs and hot water pot for tea, some biscuits, glasses for water at night, a nice, thick, warm duvet. Everything had its place. The ceilings were low in our bedroom and bathroom (because again it's a centuries old building), so if charm isn't for you, then likely this isn't the right place! Breakfast was really delicious. Even the bread was homemade! There was a little apartment sized fridge for a small number of your own food items. Liz made great suggestions as to where to park in Lincoln (which was spot on!) and lent us her year long pass to the Cathedral which saved us 22 pounds. We'd stay here again for sure!

Excellent clean room with large double bed and decent sized bathroom. TV and coffee making facilities, together with a pack filled with local attractions and other information (including how to pronounce the village's name correctly) Liz and Steve the proprietors, met us with a warm reception on arrival (we were 3 hours early!) which also included a tour of the sitting and dining rooms. The cooked breakfast is superb, (it includes home made bread), there are all the other options; cereals, fruit, yoghurt etc and may be be booked in advance. Car parking was directly outside Rose Cottage.

There was nothing to dislike

Liz and Steve welcomed us into their home. They are helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The room was lovely and clean, and everything needed is at hand. Their breakfast is delicious and served in a lovely dining room. The B & B is exceptional and felt homely. It is central for Lincolnshire sightseeing and value for money. We can certainly recommend a stay at Rose Cottage and will definitely visit again if in the Lincolnshire area. Thank you for our stay.

There is nothing to dislike.

Large room with sofa, swivel tv that could be viewed from the bed and the sofa. Very comfortable king sized bed. Excellent shower with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel supplied. Impressed that the room was tidied each day, the bed was made and the bins emptied, the lights were switched on each day to prepare for our return. Tea and coffee supplied and replenished. Very good, and filling, breakfast. Very comfortable guest lounge (though we didn't use it). Friendly, chatty, knowledgeable and helpful owners.

On a busy road which sometimes made getting into and out of the parking area a little frustrating. Not a big issue and there was no traffic noise inside the cottage.

What a lovely B&B on arrival our hosts liz & Steve were very welcoming & they showed us the dining room where we would have breakfast, then a sitting room for us to relax in , & up the stairs to our bedroom called Ruby . Which was really lovely. As was our breakfast 😋 on both days . We would definitely return & recommend this lovely house & it's hosts who we loved talking to . An ideal stay for a family wedding near by . Excellent. Thankyou again. 👍

That we had to leave after two days . We wish we could have stayed longer

Rose Cottage is very pretty , comfortable and very clean. Our room was lovely and the breakfast was very tasty. We were welcomed by Liz and Steve and they made us feel very welcome. Very friendly couple who helped us to decide where to go for dinner and booked us a table also where to go the next day. Nothing was too much trouble and best of all we enjoyed their company by having a laugh. If we are ever in this area again we would definately book Rose Cottage with Steve and Liz.

A wonderful find! Would definitely stay here again and absolutely recommend to others. We needed it to be close to RAF Cranwell and it suited us brilliantly for that. Just 10 minutes down the road. Liz and Steve were really friendly, very helpful and attentive. A lovely quiet room with everything we needed. Ate at The Five Bells in the nearby village of Bassingham, which we would highly recommend but if you do want to eat just down the road from Rose Cottage in the Generous Briton then make sure to book - even on a weekday! And I can't finish without mentioning the wonderful breakfast. Just perfect! Thank you Liz and Steve.

Lovely room - spacious, comfortable and well furnished. The hosts, Liz and Steve, were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Excellent breakfast which was cooked to order.

Nothing to complain about. There was a communal breakfast table which was fine for us but may not suit other potential guests.
