We loved the location as handy for us in the area. The Swan had lots of lovely character about it, the bar and dining area were great.

Unfortunately even though I asked for a quiet room, we were given a room above the cellar? So the noise from the fans was very noticeable and found it difficult to sleep.. Also the mattress on the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Also a small fridge would have been handy as we found we needed to purchase extra milk as these were not replenished every day? I know the room info did say rooms were not serviced every day unless requested?

It is a charming beautiful cosy pub, inside and out. The rooms were lovely and cosy, comfy bed with everything you need. The staff were friendly and polite. The food was very good , we ate at the pub in the evening. Breakfast that was included in the price was delicious and good quality, the sausages especially. We paid ÂŁ65 for our room and that price included breakfast which I thought was amazing value.

Only negative really was that the side door up to rooms was unlocked all night so anyone can get in, would be good to maybe have a key code or something but great to be able to access at any time.

We had dinner and then breakfast next morning and it was all delicious. The restaurant and bars, outside seating and garden are beautiful, lots of low lighting, very pretty. Lovely location with village green in front and a duck pond. we could see the hills from our room, lovely view. Our room was very nicely decorated and the shower was overhead and powerful. All staff were professional and friendly nothing was to much trouble, the locals we met were also friendly. Our little dog enjoyed herself as well, lots of areas close to the pub for a short walk.

Nothing to dislike.

Greeting on arrival was friendly and professional. Lovely location and pub garden. Obiously a popular venue as it was very busy midweek, but there no noise at closing time. Breakfast was very good.

Shame I arrived too late to eat as the kitchen closes at 8.30pm. Room was a bit small with the bed footboard only allowing a small gap between the it and the wardrobe - ok for me but could be a bit of a struggle for someone larger. Bathroom facilities good but no toiletries provided - which is fine but I didn't notice at booking. A bit off-putting that the cleaning of the dining room was still taking place whilst I was eating breakfast.

This was a stop-off, travelling from Cornwall back to Yorkshire. What a find! The pub, both inside and out, were immaculate, clean, and modern. Great vibe. It was buzzy and busy, both in the afternoon and evening. We ate from the evening menu, well priced and presented. We stayed in two double rooms and had a little pooch with us, who was welcomed warmly. The rooms were well decorated and had good bed linen and super fluffy towels, making for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was included, and was waiter served to our table. Brilliant pub would recommend to everyone đź‘Ť

Friendly and helpful staff, lovely building and interior, great garden, clean and cared for building, spotless bathroom, comfortable big bed, and big roomy bedrooms. Great food. Lovely location.

Ist room I was put in, Gooseberry, was next to the kitchen fans, it felt like you were sleeping in a generator room. Fortunately they moved me to another room, which was much quieter. Only sad thing about the lovely garden was that all 30 plus tables were designated for smokers.

Ideal location for a stay close to Upton Upon Severn Folk festival. (only five minutes away by car). A lovely inn with a fine dining room. Breakfast was excellent and the room was good value for money. Clean and comfortable and the bed was very comfortable.

Care may be needed when selecting your room, as our room had very little space between the bed and wardrobe etc and also limited headroom in parts of the room. Larger customers may find this too restrictive, but this is not totally unexpected in an old inn of this type.

The breakfast was superb - a full English for my husband, and a continental for me. The staff were friendly and efficient. The location was perfect for us, but that was due to family reasons.

We both found the single bed mattresses too soft for our liking. The shower needed some attention as it leaked quite badly onto the floor due to a faulty door frame onto the bath.

The setting for the hotel is beautiful, in front is a traditional green, alongside is a duck pond, and all around lovely countryside. Check in was friendly, we were greeted by friendly staff. Breakfast was cooked very well, in fact all of the food we ate including the evening meal was produced with local produce. The beer garden is well maintained and was very relaxing. All of the staff were friendly and super efficient.

All the rooms are named after a type of fruit, we stayed in plum, the room was clean but for a double it is on the small side, we stayed with our pet dog, so space was at a premium, storage for clothes is not great and as we were staying for 3 nights being organised was difficult. It would have been nice to have had a choice of cereal and fresh juice to accompany breakfast, but that is a personal thought. The beer garden was fantastic, with some really comfy seating, but all the seating area was covered with overhead canopies, it would have been nice to have had a small choice of sun or no sun, after all in the UK the sun doesn't shine that often.
