The staff at the hotel were fantastic: so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Their service exceeded our expectations and was excellent compared with past experiences we've had at other hotels. This was true of the hotel's general manager, receptionists, bar staff, waiting staff, and breakfast staff and was not limited to one or two people. The hotel is in a pleasant location offering a relaxing setting and we enjoyed a few drinks from the bar in the lovely gardens. Breakfast was served at a suitable time, and the check-out time was also convenient.

The only thing we would change is that the bed in our double room was formed of two twin beds joined together, leaving a gap in between that was a little uncomfortable. Though we were prepared for it to be a dog-friendly hotel (and think it is fab for dog owners), we would have welcomed the option of a dining room where dogs were not permitted for those who would prefer not to eat their meal in close proximity to other people's pets.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Food was of good quality. Parking was no problem. Room was adequate. Small double bed but comfortable. Plenty of storage.

Room was small and gloomy (15). All painted in very dark blue, including the ceiling. Odd. Room would have seemed bigger with light colours. No chairs. Our friend's room (6) was much bigger and lighter with chairs. Perhaps we just got the short straw!

The hotel was really lovely, with a lot of character throughout. The room was spacious, beds comfortable. Breakfast was very nice - there was a selection of a few items such as toast, croissants, fruit, cereal and quite a choice of hot foods you could order. The hotel is close to other locations such as Great Malvern (10 minutes drive).

Our room was quite cold and the heating wasn't working. When I enquired, I was told it worked on a timer, but it never came on throughout our stay. Water pressure in the shower quite poor. Food at the restaurant (apart from breakfast) was very average (and definitely not fine dining as photos of the hotel suggest for some reason).

The restaurant was very good and there was food available every evening, which is helpful when you don’t know the area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beds comfortable. Easy parking.

Our room and bathroom were very tired and in need of refurbishment. We had a lot of noise from other guests coming in late at night on two consecutive occasions. Our complaint was handled extremely well by the staff; - we have booked to stay again, in a quieter, upgraded room.

very traditional and old historic building, brought up to date with some lovely sympathetic refurbs and decor so that all your needs were catered for with style and comfort. We have a young Cockapoo and this hotel is very dog friendly and all the staff were excellent with Bertie and he and we felt very welcome! He enjoyed his special treats and doggie ice cream.

Menu in the restaurant for the evening meal didn’t quite live up to expectations, but it was still good quality pub grub. The breakfast included was excellent.

Beautiful hotel. Decor of room was lovely. Very generous tea / coffee / biscuits portion. Room a good size with extra seating. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. Decent continental breakfast selection, and more choices for hot food than I've ever come across before (all the usual plus kippers, porridge, and pancakes). Staff were very kind and helpful. No lift, but they immediately asked did you need any help on arrival. Bar and restaurant menu also very good. Lots of people staying there with dogs, and this was well thought out too with separate dining areas where needed. There was even a welly and paw wash available outside. Plenty of parking space. Can't speak highly enough of this hotel - Decent value for a mid-week stay too.

Nothing. Service was excellent.

It’s right by the train station so no need for car. Has some lovely features and feels very Arts and Crafty. Food was good and very well priced we thought. On my first night the single bed mattress I was in was worn down on one side and uncomfortable but they changed my room very quickly and upgraded me to a double.

It has plenty of space downstairs but had a function area sectioned off out of use. Needs another area with more soft furnishings for relaxation and reading and chatting which is a different and other to the bar. There is a lounge of sorts but that was set up for a conference and only had a few seats in it once put back, and didn’t feel like a lounge as such. Some of the upholstered chairs in bar and restaurant are uncomfortable and need restuffing.

Beautiful comfortable hotel in a lovely village, staff were so welcoming and caring, nothing was too much trouble for them. Evening meal and breakfast was outstanding. We will definitely visit again.

We stayed in room 18 and it was lovely and comfortable but the bathroom really let it down. Light above sink didn't work, we couldn't close window blind as pull string had disappeared, towel rail didn't work and at end of bath and floor there were 8 broken tiles which really did make it all look scruffy and unkept. Such a shame.

The hotel is a charming place in a very nice location, with great access to the Malvern Hills. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good, with a good choice of warm breakfasts and continental breakfast. The hotel restaurant is particularly good and I would recommend it for dinner. Parking facilities are great.

The room we stayed in was very large and comfortable but felt a bit dated in its decor.

Good location for breaking our journey to Wales. Very dog friendly and our suite was perfect for us all to spread out. Which was important with 2 large dogs. Ate dinner both nights - which was excellent. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

The breakfast menu was printed out and was in very small faint print. Not having my specs with me just order bacon and eggs . When the bacon arrived there was a slice of very salty/ streaky bacon , Not what I had expected and to us inedible. When I read the menu the next day I realised it was as described , but not to everyone's taste. At least it should have been crispy which it wasn't.. Back bacon is generally what one is offered .
