Nice friendly staff , recommended as cheap and cheerful , as it's cheap it attracts colourful characters shall we say , can't fault the staff ,nothing is too much trouble

I was given a nicer room as the original room I booked was on the top floor and I have a bad hip and it’s a bit tricky climbing lots of flights of stairs. As it’s an old house the stairs are quite tricky for me to negotiate. The one flight up to where the room I was given was fine. The hotel was supposed to be fully booked but someone cancelled, so I was given the choice of that room on a lower floor. Although the hotel is a bit run down, the room I was given was fine, right next to a toilet, which was helpful as well. The sheets were crisply laundered and smelt lovely. There was ample tea, coffee, milk, 2 bottles of water and a couple of packs of nice biscuits. Also a fan, which is helpful as it’s been as quite warm at night. The 2 towels I was given were also new, white and freshly laundered. The bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful, cereals, toast, with a choice of jam/honey/marmalade or croissants. Tangerines, yogurts, milk in the fridge. And hot water on tap for tea or coffee. The lady who was in the breakfast area was helpful and cheerful. Gabriel, who gave me my keys was very helpful and issued me with a parking permit for the day following my stay in Great Yarmouth. Parking is free overnight from 6pm-8am. I managed to park overnight around the corner in a spot where I didn’t need a permit, but it was handy to have the permit for the following day.

The property was fine, just needed some updating but as the price was so reasonable I was just happy to have a lovely clean bed to sleep in and the breakfast was a bonus. The area seemed a bit more run down than I remembered it, but luckily I managed to park quite close to the hotel.

The location is spot on, you are literally a stones throw away from the promenade & the Britannia Pier. The room was pretty basic which was fine but still comfortable. The host was very welcoming, was happy to chat & sorted out the permit for the on street parking. Overall it was no frills but excellent value for money given the location & breakfast also included. Would happy stay again.

It was a little noisy mostly due to the Seagulls but there's not much can be done about that. The place could also do with a wee spruce up but that's just me being picky.

Very nice single room. Very clean and very well presented. Enough space and storage for a holiday. It was on the first floor which was brilliant for my mobility issues. Kettle and tea and coffee included which was very nice. Also a great choice for breakfast. I was able to leave my luggage as I had a late departure so that was very useful. The hosts could not be nicer. 5 star service. Highly recommended.

I have stayed here before and loved it, which is why I booked again. Staff are so helpful nothing is too much bother. The hotel is located just a minute from the seafront and a couple of minutes from the main shops and bus station. It was very hot during my stay but I had a fan in my room which was very welcome. Great selection for breakfast including the most delicious honey for my toast. 😀 I will definitely stay here again.

Nothing I liked it all.

The price for a amazing so that does factor in this review quite a lot. If you have lots of money you can avoid this place but if you need somewhere cheap to sleep you can't do better for the price and you get and a cooked breakfast is included. The owner is very friendly and helpful and you have free parking in the sea side of Great Yarmouth using the permit system.

Shared bathroom and the place is obviously quite old and worn but I sleep well and my room was clean so that's all I wanted from it.

The breakfast was excellent , service was friendly and helpful. Very clean lovely airy room. Selection brilliant. No need for cooked breakfast. Plentiful quality brilliant. How they make a profit as such good value. Location brilliant and a parking pass. The beds very comfortable linen immaculate. The property dated but added to its charm.

Excellent central location, check-in easy and cheery. Single room with bed, sink, big tv and coffee/tea facilities. Toilet & separate shower room down the hall. Shower room big and hot shower. Room was of course worn & tired, but I was fine with that given the low price and convenience. One tip would be to wear ear-plugs. The windows don't provide a lot of soundproofing for outside and the seagulls are mad noisy! I usually take a pair but forgot.

Carpet could do with replacing

Paul was a great friendly guy as was the lady at breakfast. Couldn't do enough for you. Great location with free parking. Was very pleasantly surprised with breakfast. 6 different cereals, all kellogs, croissants, white and brown bread for toast, beans, yoghurt and a wide selection of juices plus tea and coffee. It's an absolute bargain for the price!!!!

It is rather tired looking and needs decorating throughout but only slept there and for the price it's a bargain!!

The stay was definitely value for money. Very friendly staff. Gabriel who was the manager on my 2night stay was extremely helpful. Breakfast was a bonus. Location was very close by to the town centre and the beach and pier. I have been staying at the trevross within the pass few years when I come to revisit great Yarmouth. So I will definitely stay there again next time.
