I love everything about this place! It was lashing down when I arrived, but as soon as I stepped through the door, it was like being transported to another world - warm, cozy, welcoming and hospitable! Amazing welcome like I was an old friend which was lovely. Amazingly cozy room with a really comfortable bed. An outstanding evening meal with a great glass of wine (or two!) - a great selection. And then, without doubt, the breakfast is the best I have ever had - cooked to order with the most amazing ingredients. And then a really lovely goodbye.

Nothing - it was truly perfect in every way, shape and form. From the moment I arrived to the second I left the place. You could not change anything.

Staff excellent, particularly the restaurant manager and his team. Evening meals superb. It was a comfortable bed, nice room.

Not a fan of a shower over a bath which we had. We had two breakfasts on 18 and 19 July. On 19 July very good breakfast, but on 18 July poor breakfasts. My wife's poached egg was not runny, well overdone. My full Yorkshire was poor. The fried egg was overdone also, and the bacon was virtually inedible. It could not be cut and was like leather. I had to pick it up and nibble it to eat any of it at all. I don't know what they were thinking about serving it. I did not complain at the time as I did not want to disturb other guests. And it was a minor thing within an otherwise very good stay.

Our second stay and overall had an enjoyable time. Lovely beer garden that was very busy on a Sunday afternoon. The staff here are amazing, there are a lot of employees who are so well trained and excellent in their various roles. Big up to them all, really impressive.

Bed not comfortable, husband woke with a bad neck. I have back issues but this had to have been one of the most uncomfortable beds ever. Shower very poor pressure but you are in the middle of nowhere so not surprising. Emptying bottles at 7.30am is a bit inconsiderate IMO - I know it needs to be done but maybe a tad later? Already awake so no issue for me but if I had a hangover wouldn't have been too happy. Tables in dining room are very close together so when the chap at the next table coughed he did it all over my food. I still had to pay for it though! The restaurant did offer to swap my food but as my husband was already eating I declined.

The Lady was very welcoming and showed me to my room, on the way the lady showed me where you go for breakfast and the times. I was pleasantly surprised when entered my room, the radio was playing and a welcoming fresh cookie was in the room. I sat outside and soaked up the atmosphere and relaxed. I was one of the first for breakfast, the lady was very helpful and took my order. The display of fresh fruit/ cereals / croissants was great start, my Yorkshire full breakfast was perfectly , presented and delicious.

Nothing keep up the great work. Thank you.

In literally 100’s of Inns, hotels and accommodations I’ve stayed in, this is in the top three. Beautiful surroundings, great external and internal ambiance and a hospitality that is maintained throughout your stay. The food whether lunch or dinner is imaginative and strives to surpass your expectations. Breakfast is the parting gift. This is not a plastic five star emporium but the heart of Yorkshire given generously to you and it only asks that you return again. I accept that challenge

I had to go home

We were welcomed warmly, and delighted with our room and amenities, and indeed the whole Inn. It has all been so stylishly redesigned without losing a very personal character. The planting outside is also very attractive. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening meal, and the breakfast - both were exceptional. We should like return and stay longer to appreciate the spaces we didn't get to use, such as the sitting rooms on both levels.

N/A for us. We had had a pretty stressful day and this was the perfect antidote.

Perfect location nestled in a beautiful valley Room was beautiful, outside bar area was great. Restaurant stunning, we went for the taster menu and wine flight- worth every penny. Breakfast was excellent! Little touches made all the difference- Nespresso machine, chaperone to room, chocolates on departure. We will definitely be back!

Wifi was a little intermittent when busy and didn’t work in the room, but it made the stay even more relaxed being away from the outside world!

I have loved the Shibden Mill Inn since I first drank there about 60 years ago. At first it was very good it went down hill when for a while it was owned I think by a brewery . But now its back to good times, Room charming, evening meal very good and breakfast also. My first time to stay there and it didn't was very good A BIG THANK YOU

The only thing that both I and my partner both felt was a little unsafe in the shower ( no rails with a big shower tray not non slip ) It looked so smart and big with a glass shower screen I think a smart stainless steel rail right round would not look unsightly and would help a lot

I've known the Shibden Mill Inn for over 40 years, but not stayed there as my wife's mother lived quite near by, and we stayed with her. Now she's gone, this will definitely be our first port of call when we re-visit the area. The restaurant is superb and choice of ales and whiskies in the bar first-rate.

The perennial complaint in most hotels/B&B's -- poor overhead lighting in bedrooms and social areas. It makes reading very difficult and in the Shibden Mill Inn, we couldn't see inside the wardrobe properly to sort our clothes.

I first learned if the Inn thru booking.com in 2019. I have stayed there seven times since. it is every bit as charming and comfortable as the pictures, but what makes the real difference is the staff. Without exception, I’ve been treated like a special guest every time I walk in the door, regardless of who I deal with. Oh, and the restaurant is not only the best in the area, but one of the best I’ve eaten in, anywhere, and I travel all over the world. Breakfast alone is terrific, but dinners are over the moon!

Not a thing.
