Stayed here prior to dropping our daughter off at Uni. The cottage and neighbouring house are beautiful, full of character with gorgeous gardens. Hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Room was clean, well-equipped with cosy atmosphere. Breakfast delicious - great selection, tastiest full English ever and jams are yummy! Our daughter (and we) were a bit nervous about starting Uni and it certainly helped to stay at this lovely cottage beforehand.

Can't think of anything we didn't like - would definitely stay again.

Really lovely location - room very clean, the garden really impressive, the property had a good vibe. Lorraine - you are a star- the breakfast was so good and you were very attentive. Really hope you are there next time we visit. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Location excellent. Lovely old property. Breakfast excellent.

The bathroom had sloping ceilings, which were too low for us, and unable to use the shower due to the low slanting ceiling. Next time will book the larger room opposite.

location was perfect for our trip to Gosport, such a quiet and peaceful setting. Just charming from start to finish, Strawberry Cottage is beautiful. Breakfast was excellent and Lorraine was so accommodating to our needs. We loved it! So nice to come back to a quiet retreat at the end of a busy day.

Ideal location for our requirements. Easy to find and the communication from the owners was excellent. Very homely and friendly hosts who checked on us after our arrival and settling in period. Set in a beautiful location with a nice garden and plenty of wild birds.

I do not think any thing could have been better. We would have liked a ground floor room but we never asked for one. Being older makes stairs a bit of a climb but we we were not going up and down the stairs all night so it did not really matter.

a small criticism. a socket closer to a mirror for my hairdryer to reach comfortably, and the room we had “Bedford” could do with a blackout blind at the window. the sun was a demon coming straight in the room. it was the very hot weekend if 8th & 9th July 2022.

Location is ideal for Ageas Bowl, Southampton cricket ground. Shuttle bus from train station across the road. Good choice at breakfast, served by the proprietor. Nothing too much trouble. Lovely gardens. Pub next door serving usual pub standard food

Shower was difficult to control heat

The breakfast was excellent on both days that we stayed and the service could not have been better very helpful. The location is good as you have some local shops that you can walk to plus main supper market is only 5min by car

The 2 single beds not that comfortable but they was ok for short stay this does not mean that I would not stay again. everything else I could not fault over.

Locally sourced sausages were very tasty. Staff were flexible when requesting to swap an item in the cooked breakfast. Extremely comfy beds. Lovely location with beautiful gardens.

A longer stay (we stayed 5 nights) and we should have requested fresh towels mid stay as they didn't always dry thoroughly before the next evening. Our own fault for not asking.

we stayed in the twin room which was very spacious and spotlessly clean. the shower was excellent and nice fluffy towels. breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice.
