The hotel is self contained and in a lovely location. The lady who checked us in was very warm and friendly so we felt very welcomed.

We ordered room service which was a bit disappointing. We ordered a cheese and ham and a ham and tomato triple decker sandwich. When they arrived the guy who delivered them said they'd forgotten to make them triple decker so had added a cheese and onion sandwich! We sent that back because we didn't want cheese and onion! They changed it for a rather dry plain ham sandwich made on supermarket bread ... sandwiches are £11 each! They also didn't have ready salted crisps...

Very clean throughout, nice size rooms and large beds.

Didn’t like the breakfast arrangement it was part buffet and part served. We had to order some of the breakfast at the table and then once that had arrived had to walk to the buffet area to put on things like beans, tomatoes Etc. Also I was told sausages were not available as you had run out and someone was on the way to the shop ! There is no excuse to run out of sausages plus are breakfast was relatively early that morning. The drink prices were ridiculous high no wonder the bar was very quiet. I appreciate it’s a hotel and prices are normally on the high side but to be charged £17 for a Gin & Lemonade and a Pint of Lager is daylight robbery.

Staff were excellent. Very friendly, super accommodating, great location.

Only downfall was the pool/spa area was rather dated. Shower out of order by the pool and the changing room shower drains smelt. Such a shame as everything else was excellent. With a little sprucing up (and covering the internal roof area as very unsightly and not at all relaxing) the place would be excellent. Disappointed I couldn't quite give it a 10

As a family of four with a 2 year old and 4 rmonth old, we felt that the hotel was really well set up for families. We had a suite which gave us space to put the kids down in their own section of the room - the hotel provided a travel cot and camp bed for the kids FOC. We ordered room service for dinner which worked really well and was hot and delicious. Breakfast was nice and there was a varied selection on offer. We used the swimming pool in the morning, which was lovely and warm - there were lots of other children and there is a large shallow area.

Some areas felt tired, particularly the swimming changing rooms and our bathroom. Unfortunately we couldn’t get a treatment in the spa, even when trying to book six weeks in advance. The travel cot in our room had a hole in the mesh, big enough for a child’s head but not the body. Clearly very dangerous for a mobile child but ok for my potato baby, who doesn’t move at night. Had to pay for a latte over breakfast which was £4.50(!) for what was a basic mug of push button machine coffee.

We were here celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary, we were greeted by a lovely man on the desk (unsure of his name sorry) we have enjoyed the facilities and the reasturant during our 3 night stay. We have been greeted by the very energetic young man callum on the bar, we have been served by the very smiley zoe in the restaurant of an evening, all of this has been overseen by the very attentive and supportive reasturant manager Sian who absolutely kept the ship going. We have had a wonderful stay. Thank you.

Some of the spa facilities were out of action for the entire time of our 3 day stay (sauna & steam room)

The staff were polite and friendly. Our room was clean. We had an interconnecting room with my daughter and her partner which was quite useful. We were visiting friends who live less than a mile from the hotel, which was our main reason for choosing it.

The men's changing room was not very clean. We only had one cup in our room, so only one of us got a cuppa! There is a pool, but it's not suitable if you want to swim lengths for exercise. There's a sauna and steam room, but the sauna wasn't working. When we were told breakfast was £24 per person, we decided that was too expensive and opted to go to a local café.

Lovely welcome by the member of staff on arrival, and nice comfortable room with plenty of space for us and the kids. Quiet hotel, comfy bed, good shower, clean bathroom.

Food was embarrassingly bad. £12 for a ‘triple decker sandwich’, which was the thinnest, driest, cheapest, long life bread. The staff were helpful, but they didn’t understand the different between dairy, eggs and gluten, so my poached eggs and smashed avo on toast became just a bit of avo on toast, no eggs, and again the thinnest, cheapest, driest bread imaginable. Other bread seemingly was available, but with asking for dairy free they also took out gluten and eggs!

The staff from reception to the dining/breakfast room were all excellent - friendly and very very helpful. There seemed to be ample staff to ensure great service everywhere The food was terrific Would like to single out the young chap behind the sports bar. He said it was only his second shift but he was very very helpful and ensured we could get food when the restaurant was full and frequently checked that everything was going well. There are some negative reviews around but we found nothing negative at all during the visit and expect to stay again.

Multiple emails in the week leading up to the stay with "upgrade offers" which, when clicked on, said "there are no offers for you"

Parking: There is plenty of free parking. Staff: The staff are polite, friendly, and welcoming. Especially the assistant FOH (forgot to ask for his name ). He made my day, amazing customer service. Restaurant: The food was amazing!!! I had the "Feather Blade" recommended by the assistant FOH. Astonishing dish, this is honestly one of the best dishes I have eaten in a while. Special compliments to the Chef!! Room: Big room with comfy bed, nice and clean top to bottom. Good water pressure in the shower. :) I will be back for sure :).

An easier way to tip staff (been told can't add or round up the bill in the restaurant). Your staff are amazing, and they deserve tips. It could do with more signs on the wall to direct you, got lost twice 🙈
