We loved walking shower .beds were comfortable .excellent seating in the room. There is plenty of room to hang clothes. Room had tea+coffee, hairdryer, ironing board, and iron. restaurant collars pollar was next door, excellent service and excellent food. advised to book as it does get busy at the weekend. Would definitely recommend staying.

Just to say. Lightning in the room was not very good/bright. Dressing table light was very poor, especially for us women trying to put makeup on,making it hard to see. And maybe put mat in shower or handle as it was slippery.

I LIKED THE DECOR AND GENERAL DESIGN OF THE BUILDING AND THE BEDROOMS. I HAD NOT BOOKED FOR BREAKFAST BUT THE SERVICE WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT.AND THE FOOD WAS GOOD.

SEEMED TO BE LESS ATTRACTIVELY FURNISHED THAN ON EARLIER VISITS TO THE LODGE. IT HAD LESS FURNITURE THAN PREVIOUS ROOMS WE HAD EXPERIENCED AND THE FURNITURE WAS DULL - NO PERZAZ! . PREVIOUS ROOMS HAD A LOT OF BRIGHT YELLOW AND WHITE. AND LOOKED CLEANER AND FRESHER. THE WALL NEXT TO THE BED AND THE BATHROOM NEEDED CLEANING AND REDECORATING. THERE WERE LOTS OF DIRTY MARKS ON THE WALL. FOR THE PRICE -£150 PER NIGHT FOR THE ROOM ONLY, I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED THE ROOM TO BE IN TIP TOP CONDITION.BUT IT LOOKED LIKE SOME ODD, LEFT OVER BITS OF FURNITURE WERE LEFT IN THERE.

Loved our stay, to meet up with family. Hotel was easy to find with plenty of parking. We have a long campervan and parked easily. Reception is in the pub/restaurant next door and was friendly and efficient. We had a ground floor room which we located quickly. Room was clean and warm and quite spacious. I loved the decor which was quite modern. The bathroom was spotless. I must point out the towels were huge and soft, and the toilet paper really good quality! We ate in the pub/ restaurant who accommodated us despite being busy. Food was lovely, the batter on the fish and chips just perfect. Bed was very comfy, fully adjustable Aircon and you can open a window! Plenty of sockets and nice big TV. I loved that they had left 2 paper travel mugs. Breakfast the next morning was really good, although at this point the staff member behind the bar seemed a little under pressure. Help yourself cereal and fruit/juice with a served full English. Quality and quantity was really good. There was info in the room about spa treatments in the sister spa hotel next door. Both hotel and pub were dog friendly and we will definitely be back with our hound.

Really easy to get to from the motorway, breakfast was good. Rooms were clean and had an iron and kettle in them. Shower was really powerful. Felt like a more modern Premier Inn. Bed is big. Staff were always really friendly.

Double bed is 2 singles pushed together so can't use the middle. Breakfast one day was pretty slow, they were super busy & probably short staffed as it was speedy other days, just would have liked a heads up it was slow that morning so anyone in a rush could go elsewhere/not order hot food to save time/I could let the people we were meeting after know we would be late.

Yes breakfast was good

The heat ,our room was really hot,and with my asthma couldn't wait to get out and get some air,,also we were attending my daughter friend wedding reception, she us gluten free, they brought gluten sandwiches out and put the right next to our sandwiches, my sin law and daughter ask them to make a fresh lot but never received any food and there was another lady with the same condition they had no food at all which is really bad ,

Accessibility, location-wise. Meal on-site as an option. Good breakfast. The Bar is brilliant. The garden is very good, especially during the sunny days.

Sometimes the room is not vacuum-cleaned on the 2nd day. Hospitality/complimentary items not fully placed in the room. For example, there are occasions whereby Cookies are supplied on one day but not on the 2nd day. Yesterday, tea, coffee, and sugar were provided but no single sachet of milk. The cleaners need to conform to the cleaning standard procedures. They should provide Hospitality items in the rooms and perform good floor cleaning. Breakfast is good but could be served quicker after orders are placed. Good breakfast but should provide an extra option or alternative to customers who do not eat bacon, sausages and baked beans. Breakfast staff understaffed. Waiting for the table to be cleaned when finding a breakfast table to use.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Lodge at Solent and would 100% stay again. The rooms were very modern clean and very impressive. The accommodation cost was competive and location distant was fantastic for Southampton cruise port

Family friendly downside -No access to a microwave to sterilise baby bottles. It would be incredible if the hotel/restaurant provided a microwave plastic plates / cutlery on site for families to use and also would come in handy to reheat meals. As a mum/ dad when you have a young hectic family hot food is a massive luxury/rarity. Carpark was very busy due to wedding event on so it was quite difficult to find a car parking spot and we had to wait for a while for a guest to leave to utilise a car parking space.

Clean, tidy, smart, very comfortable beds, good quality linen and towels. Reasonable amount of space, excellent amount of hanging space and places to store things. Excellent wifi, power point and usb ports all in the right places. Well thought out hotel room. We had a room at the back which was lovely and quiet. Met some of the housekeeping staff very polite and efficient

Perhaps slightly more generous with coffee sachets although I really am being picky as it was a perfect 4 night stay. Sadly someone has ruined perfectly good carpets by trailing bleach along corridors and bedrooms. I can see why they haven’t replaced them as they were probably new when this happened.

Great little hotel with very helpful staff. The set up is basic but excellent value for money. Modern rooms which are very clean and large, great shower, good wifi. Breakfast is very good and the room service allows bar food and drinks to the room - we stayed with a baby and this was very helpful.

There was a problem with the hot water supply when we stayed but we were allowed to use the nearby (over the car park) hotel spa facilities to compensate.

Location is great with Whitely Village down the road and close to Southampton and Portsmouth. Plenty of parking. Good size room, lovely big, comfy bed and fab shower. Good amount of storage for clothes etc and nice to have an iron and board in the room. Great size telly, good amount of sockets and USB Ports around the room. Good controls for adjusting the temperature of the room, which are easy to use. Free WiFi, that worked well. Hotel was quiet and we slept well.

Restaurant next door did not look welcoming and needed up keeping, we had a drink but definitely didn't want to stay for dinner, so we went onto Whitely Village for dinner.
