The small cottage in the Garden was a highlight during our roadtrip through south england. It is located underneath a very big tree so that it feels like living in a hobbit house. The cottage is very cosy and you will find everything you need. ...and if not, you will get help from your very lovely host, that prepared a first breakfast for us and guided us with usefull advices through our stay. We especially loved hiking through the New Forrest, catching crabs in Lymington, watching Mr. Punch at Osborne and enjoying an afternoon at the beach of the Isle of Wight. At the end three nights we're a bit short. We could even spend another day visiting Stonehenge & Salisbury. There is so much to do in the region! Thanks you so much for the pleasant & exciting stay !!!

It was so comfortable and homely. The host, Jean, was so attentive to detail and had really put a lot of thought into what went into the bedrooms and breakfast room. The tea and coffee selection in the room was the best I’ve ever had in a B and B and even included tic tacs! There were also umbrellas, water bottles, torches, toiletries and everything you could need for a really comfortable stay. The room was spotless, well laid out and with lovely views of her beloved gardens. The breakfast room was charming and had a great election of cold goodies. There was a lovely veranda on which to enjoy the garden. It is only 4 mins walk from the centre of Botley and Jean told us a great way of walking there to avoid the busy road as much as possible. Despite it’s proximity to the road, it was silent in her property. She took time to welcome us and talk through things to do in the area and the best restaurant options. We went to the pub she highly recommended and had a fantastic meal and evening. We will definitely be back!

We booked at stay at Otters Green for the 1st April 2023 for one night, on our way to a cruise from Southampton. What a GREAT choice this turned out to be. We were delayed after the M6 was closed due to an accident on our way from Glasgow, we phoned Jean to let her know we would have to check in late, this was not a problem Jean said. When we arrived Jean showed us our rooms they were lovely rooms. Jean said everything she would like when she stayed in a B&B she included in the room, right down to covered hot water bottles. Jean suggested some restaurants where we could eat that night locally. After a good night's sleep it was in for breakfast in a very quaint breakfast room and yet again everything you could ask for in a continental style was included and more. This was a great stay and would certainly stay here again and recommend Otters Green to anyone looking for a stay in this area.

Great atmosphere just off the road between the trees and immediately next to a gorgeous Sequoia tree, we were in the Hansel and Gretel like cottage. Used this for a 2 day stop to Peppa Pig and Stonehenge on our way to Wales. Jean is a wonderful host that makes you feel welcome right from the start and she had some complimentary basics in the fridge. Great value for money.

Not too big inside with most surface area covered by beds. Wifi signal not too strong (and our phones' network signal also not working well indoors).

We have been travelling a lot this year for business and the Otters Green is by far our favourite accommodation to date! Such a cute chalet on the outside and when we first entered we were blown away with the attention to detail the host has put into their business. Beds made with matching blankets, hot water bottles and robes available. We had been working over 10 hours followed by over an hours drive to Otters Green, Jean had provided bread, yoghurts, cereal, milk etc for breakfast which meant we could relax straight away with a brew! I had some work to do before bed and the wifi was easy to connect to and no issues getting on with some admin. The beds were surprisingly super comfortable, we slept so well! In the morning we were able to appreciate our beautiful surroundings as we had arrived late and was dark. We requested parking which was provided right next to our chalet making it so easy to get our luggage. We only work in the area once a year but we will be booking as early in advance as possible for our annual business trip to ensure we don't miss out on this hidden gem! Jean, thank you for making the Yorkshire ladies feel so welcome and for all the hard work you put into making your chalet so special!

Wow what a find! A lovely place situated off a main road(excellent signposting) although you wouldn't know it after you arrived at your destination. Had everything you could possibly need and will definitely be coming back. Breakfast although continental....was an absolute feast, no scrimping here...was wonderful xxxx

If the fellow traveller next door had used the table associated with his room number then I wouldn't have had to move breakfast settings.....but did so as our host was so lovely didn't want to bother her 😍

Jean's BnB is.just wonderful, what a lovely setting, she puts so much care into welcoming her guests. The lovely breakfast prepared with so many options in the cute little granary room, the touches like the hot water bottle on the bed, the in-room tea and coffee supplies, great wifi and an exquisite scent of Hyacints just outside the room. Great heating system and a very nice shower pressure! The ancient giant tree outside in her beautiful garden with the picturesque chalet and cabin and pond, everything was picture perfect! Thank you Jean!

Having had a lovely stay at Otters Green, we must say Jean the host was very accommodating, highly amusing and the whole set up is so well organised. Breakfast in the Granary was a lovely experience, so much choice and so plentiful. Outside space was beautiful, lovely seating area and the redwood tree was amazing. Special thanks Jean for providing wine glasses and letting us chill our fizz. Definitely worth a visit to a beautiful part of england

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Otters Green. Jean, the owner, is an absolute delight! Our room was cozy and comfortable and the continental breakfast, set out in the cute Granary, was very good. The property is situated is a lovely garden with fields beyond. We were able to walk into the village of Botley in minutes, and it was a short drive to the nearby retail park, and a bit further on the motorway to Southampton, so it was an ideal place for us to stay before leaving on our cruise.

Jean let us know in advance that Otters Green is just off a busy road, and on arrival she told us an easier way to get across the road. However, once on the property, we really couldn't hear the cars, so it wasn't a problem. We would have loved to have heard some of Jean's stories about living overseas, maybe next time!

. A delightful find :-) The host was lovely and welcoming , Clean and comfortable with everything you need to feel at home. Lovely setting in a garden with it's own parking and entrance. The bed was large and comfortable , additional seating , dining area , bathroom with lovely hot shower and basic kitchen facilities with lovely extra touches :-) It was lovely and thoughtful to have some provisions provided for breakfast and plenty of tea and coffee. Its an easy walk to Botley and local pubs / resturants. Handy for lots of local attractions. Excellent value for money we would highly recommend .
