Nice firm bed. Staff were very helpful. Food was good. Attractive and interesting grounds and gardens. Located in the countryside. Parking was good. Thankful our room was on the end of the wing for access and 'out of the mainstream' guest traffic and noise.

The fact that it is located under the flight path of planes from Stanstead airport. Bit difficult to find even with sat-nav, needs more road signage. Room was so compact that not much space for 2 people to move around or even a second chair. Noise from wedding party guests in evening.

The hotel and gardens were exceptional. Such a beautiful setting and lovely and clean.

The evening food in the bar (as the restaurant was closed) was not good. We only had a burger and fish and chips but the flavour of the burger was so bad I was not able to eat it. This was explained to several staff, as they did ask for feedback for the kitchen. We were going to book breakfast for the next morning but this experience put us off completely.

The gardens are beautiful.

There is no information on the Booking.com site about whether breakfast is included or not. When you reside at the Hall, the breaksfast menu states that it is included in the rate for residents. You will be charged £18.95 for breakfast when booking via Booking.com. Would have been nice to know before booking: that makes an egg and a slice of toast rather expensive.

We had the company retreat for the management team and we loved the place. The rooms were comfortable and the business center was great with nice meeting rooms and snacks, coffee, etc. Food was also excellent.

The meeting rooms are pretty expensive per day and some of my colleagues complained that the rooms were too warm. Also the way they did the invoicing was bizare and definitely not intuitive. I guess if you go for a corporate event is better to book directly through them rather than booking (although through them it will be quite a bit more expensive).

Staff were very helpful, and kind. Facilities were very good. They are the first hotel to explain fire Evacuation procedure for my husband who uses a wheelchair.

No information pack in the room. Would have liked access to room using the ramp explained from the start of our stay. Room 13. Can I suggest a second chair to be able to sit with my husband to watch TV rather than have to lay on the bed. We asked for a small table which was not an issue. Also being in the industry of health and social care, for future you nay wish to offer bed bars to ensure no falling out of bed. I bring ours. They are great for elderly and disabled users. Wet room, fantastic. Sink height etc just tight for wheelchair access and mirror height.

Everything was really nice from breakfast, dinner and the bar! The walk around the premises was amazing, beautiful scenery! I also used the gym which was cool. I just wish there was a spa/swimming pool facility, that would make Fanham’s so much more special!

Only negative thing I have to say is £18.00 + per person for breakfast was a bit pricey.

Staff were friendly, lovely surroundings and great choice of bar drinks, breakfast was fantastic.

No food in the evening due to wedding taking place, felt like we were in the way as wedding guests were in the hotel bar not the bar that was designated to them. They need to take care of ALL guests. Breakfast expensive, hotel a bit tired in places.

The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. They even had gluten free biscuits which I have never seen before in a hotel. It was good to know as my sister has coeliac so I was pleased knowing that they at least are aware and think about coeliacs.

We had an amazing stay for our anniversary ❤️ the room was beautiful, great food and the staff was super nice and made the day even more special by leaving us a Harry Potter card because we said we loved that the building looks like it was from the movie :) such a sweet thing to do thank you so much

Everything was perfect

Breakfast and dinner were very good, great service, very tasty. The restaurant staff were really friendly and helpful, and served us quickly considering they were also serving numerous weddings too. The drinks menu was extensive, even having quite a lot of non alcoholic options. The bathroom was spacious and the shower exceptional. We loved the beautiful gardens too!

The stay didn't get off to a great start, with the receptionist telling us off for not having booked dinner in advance. There was availability, so I'm not sure what the issue was - she just booked it for us in the end, so I don't think her approach was the best. Considering we booked a superior double, the room was very small, which was quite disappointing for the price. Due to the numerous weddings, the central lobby area did get excessively busy at times, which wasn't great as a hotel guest. The men's toilets in the lobby area were disgusting, and after raising this with the staff, it was still foul an hour later.
