Pleasant, well trained, professional staff. Nice bar and menu, comfortable and relaxing. Lovely views and strolls. Stayed in the Travelodge a few days earlier, similar price, but this property is massively better and facilities, will definitely return here, this was my first visit.

Only light breakfast available that day. Choice was sparse. If cooked breakfast had been available it seems over-priced.

Great location, friendly bar and reception staff,

Could do with slight renovation work, showers need improving not hot or powerful. The heating is also an issue, it was so warm and we were unable to open the windows. Check in could also be a little earlier as 3pm is quite late.

Wonderful warm welcome by Alison the Receptionist. Superb food in the bar - particularly on the first night - really generous portion sizes prepared and served by excellent staff. Small but really well equipped room with very comfy beds. The hotel's fairly remote location enabled incredible views of West Yorkshire. There was storm blowing but we felt perfectly snug and warm inside with a fire burning in the bar :o) Our room and its bathroom were beautifully clean - a real credit to the hotel cleaning staff who were also very helpful when we needed more coffee and tea due to having decided we would stay an extra night as we were having such a nice time!

Genuinely no complaints! We had a really good time :o)

fab staff, moved our room away from the wedding that was on which was very thoughtful

breakfast was a bit disappointing really for the price of nearly £15.00 a head. selection of fresh friut was a bowl of 3 apples/3 oranges. Kellogs cerials in little boxes is ok, 2 yogurts in pots but a good selection of juices, just smacked of put it all in a cupboard till tomorow after service, no real fresh flair Usual diy toast ( not cooked or burnt dualit conveyer maching) but the croisants were fresh cooked. The hot food was in swing top bain-maries so food got steam soggy a bit. Had to go out of my way to ask for fried eggs rather than the supplied scrammbled. if it was £9.95 fair enough, and it wasnt in any way unpleasant, but for the extra price a bit more is really desired

Breakfast was amazing . Plentiful and beautiful . I didn't need to eat for the rest of the day ! We arrived late as we had travelled from Manchester Airport flying in long haul and travelled to Huddersfield to watch a Concert straight from our delayed flight. The receptionist was very informative and advised us to travel straight to the concert stadium , suggested where to park and was very friendly when we arrived after 11pm . It was comforting to know that messages had been passed on to the late night staff. Room was spotless and glad we stopped on the outskirts of Huddersfield . It's a shame we could not stay in the are longer but would not hesitate to stay again if in the area .

Everything was fab

The staff were friendly and helpful. The evening meals were very tasty and good value for money. and the breakfast was excellent, The position of the hotel was amazing and in the summer the views would have been incredible. Obviously visiting in the winter, with gale force winds, meant we couldnt be outside to appreciate these as much as would have liked.

The temperature in the room when we first arrived was very very hot and despite turning the radiator off and opening all three windows it took till about 5am to be comfortable to sleep. Its obviously a three star hotel for a reason, and with a bit of improvement could easily be a quality 4/5 star rating. As a result of requiring improvement (i.e. lots of areas and bits and pieces are simply tired) we didnt feel the cost equated to what was on offer.

Good value and room better furnished than previous stay. Dinner being served in bar, not restaurant, but that was ok and food was good. Breakfast changed to self-serve so that sorted slow service problem, good selection.

Could still do with non-slip mat for the bath and a chair in the room would be good (borrowed one from the corridor and put it back afterwards). Bar often abandoned by staff for long periods. Had some issues with EV charger but that's not directly managed by the hotel.

Location was beautiful. Room was nicely furnished and bed was comfortable. Excellent shower. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We were disappointed that the evening meal we wanted in the hotel restaurant wasn't available and local pub was fully booked. We ended up with fish and chips from a local fish shop that was awful. We returned to this hotel as we really enjoyed our breakfast last time, but it wasn't very appetising this time. Re-heated and inedible.

We had a bar meal which was excellent good thick soup served warm and with a hot crusty roll, followed by turkey main course again served hot with roast & mashed potatoes and veg, only problem was the meal was to large for our appetite. Breakfast again was plentiful well cooked and well served
