Owner and staff were very accommodating, we needed to borrow an iron as we were attending a wedding at Tunnels Beach (spitting distance from the property). The location was superb.

Owner did warn us that hot water takes a while to reach, he wasn't kidding! We were on the third floor and I'd suggest turning on the tap, sitting down and making a coffee while you wait for the hot water to reach (10 minutes about).

Excellent location, just a short stroll to the town and beach. Our room was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. Although parking was first come, first serve, we always found a space in the hotel car park. If you're looking for close attractions, then Lynton, Lynmouth, and woolacombe are well worth a visit.

Shoot the seagulls. Can be a little noisy, but after the first night, we got used to it. Same for ALL coastal locations.

A lovely victorian hotel located right by the tunnel beach. Staff were lovely and helpful and put up with my kids coming down late for breakfast and giving them takeaway breakfast when the didn't show up at all. Malcolm was quiet but with a very dry sense of humour and made us giggle. Previous comments about the showers are true but bare in mind its an victorian hotel with victorian plumbing. Once i let the shower run for a few minutes it was absolutely fine. I loved the old lift although my youngest refused to get in it. The breakfast was gorgeous, the best I've had. The seagulls don't sleep at all but after the second night i was used to them. The staff work hard and with anyone if you respect others they'll respect you.

The only issue for me was the car park, definitely not enough space but we managed and found space outside the vape shop but have to move it before 10am

Quirky old hotel with lots of original features but kept beautifully clean, En-suite bathroom was very modern with shower over bath. plenty of storage, french door on to small balcony was cute, excellent breakfast options, Short walk to shops and sea front.

Toilet cistern took over an hour to fill after flushing which was a bit noisy at night. There had clearly been issues with leaks at some point and the carpets in the hall and room were stained. These could have easily been addressed by cleaning but made the hotel feel dirty which was unjust as it clearly isn't. As mentioned on their advisory parking is an issue but we parked nearby.

Small privately owned hotel, clean and comfortable and very welcoming. Visit made extra enjoyable by the help and care of Malcolm the owner and his lady staff. Good selection at breakfast and beautifully cooked. My wife and I would return if ever in the area.

Our only problem was as my wife is disabled and can not walk very far and the car park is very small two of the six nights we spent there we could not get into it, however the owner directed us to a parking bay opposite the hotel so it was not a big problem.

Breakfast was very good - good quality ingredients well cooked. Location was excellent as I was attending a wedding at Tunnel Beaches (a excellent place for one) - it was literally just across the road and the seafront a short walk away. Hotel does have a lift. There is also a nice bar in the hotel.

Points to note ( but not a concern for me): There are about 10 fairly steep steps to enter the property by either the front or rear entrances The seagulls can be quite loud for about 20 minutes around dawn as they leave to feed.

We were visiting Ilfracombe for a wedding at The Tunnels, so the Bathhouse Hotel was perfect as it's just across the road from the venue. But the hotel is also very close to all amenities of the town and with the coastal path two minutes walk away we didn't stray far from Ilfracombe at all for the time we were there. We had such a lovely time.

The Bathhouse Hotel suited our needs for the length of time we were staying. It is a B&B in a busy seaside town it is not a grand hotel but a clean, friendly place to stay for a short break. We were a group of seven with no complaints.

The hotel was is a good location, within a couple minutes walk into the harbour/town. The rooms were comfortable and met our needs. The staff were outstanding, friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was good with a variety of cereal and cooked options, catering for vegetarians.

The shower was not strong enough, the water did not come through strong enough.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were all very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived and had accommodated our request to be in a quiet room away from the lift. Our room was large, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was freshly cooked each morning and of a high standard. This is a great hotel, in a brilliant location offering exceptional value.

Nothing.
