Liked our room as it was not part of the main hotel and was therefore nice and quiet.( although we can’t say the hotel was noisy) Staff all very friendly and helpful. Nice pool but could do with a little more air as it was too stuffy to sit around on the sun loungers for long.

Disappointed that our ‘garden room’ didn’t open onto a garden but on to a small car park area. Menu to Manor restaurant limited and the same every day. Menu to Garden Bar same every day too. Breakfast available at £14.50 each which was full English and buffet style cereals etc etc , but no option for a ‘lesser’ breakfast. Price way too expensive if you only want a bowl of cereal! Therefore over a three night stay we only ate one meal at the hotel,

I've stayed here regularly since 2016, and it's always a pleasure. Yes, stylistically it's a bit quirky, yes the room deals on Booking.com are unfathomable - you need to dig and dig to find the best one, but it's always a consistently good place to stay. The staff are always a delight, and can't do enough to help; the restaurant / bar both stay open for food until a reasonable time (bar food last orders 20.45, not like the Best Western in Claydon that finishes at 19.30 - that's like flipping school dinners!!); and the rooms (if you know the place, and choose the right one) are always clean, welcoming and well-appointed.

Only one tiny issue in the outside room block - the water pressure in the showers has been pretty low in the last few months. Not enough to bother making a fuss, but on one morning on my last stay I had to keep moving to get wet :-) :-)

Useful location, generously sized room and very nice pool with large jacuzzi that was included. Reasonably priced, pleasant staff.. Large and comfortable bed and everywhere was clean.

Overall the hotel was a little dated but the rooms were being systemically upgraded. The furniture and furnishings in the lobby and corridors were made to look sumptuous and expensive but the style of lots of faux jewels, made it present as the opposite.. Access to the spa area was really good and enjoyed a swim after visiting areas. Again, some updating would be good but didn't affect use. The sauna and steam room could be hotter. No plug socket near a mirror when using the hairdryer - I moved the large mirror on the desk.

Stayed in a junior suite which was spacious, but not much bigger than their lovely garden rooms. Comfortable furniture and bed, and again great location. This time we used the pool and spa facilities, a little sauna and steam room, jacuzzi and a pool large enough to do some lengths in, was a lovely addition to the stay. Nice little bar area and outdoor seating catching the last of the sunshine. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will stay again, but maybe the garden rooms.

The pool areas needed a tidy/clean, from discarded water cups and used towels (not sure why guests would leave them lying around in the first place!?)

The welcome was so warm and inviting..the food was tremendous..I spend a lot of time at hotels and this hotel is by far very good value for money.. The room was very clean and comfortable The food was so tasty..the breakfast is the best I have had in some time.. Only thing that let's this hotel down is the WiFi was week and ee was hardly any signal in the room..if this is sorted out then this would have been one of the best hotels with very good facilities great food and hands on staff..I will return and very highly recommend..

The hotel was clean and warm and quiet. The breakfast met our expectations.

The interior decoration of the hotel was somewhat bizarre with a clashing mixture of styles. There was Tudor oak panelling, alongside tartan carpets and blingy faux marble flooring, complete with gold streaks and oriental beaded curtains in the corridor. I assume that someone had designed all this but it was far from tasteful! The photograph of a smirking Mr. Muthu in sunglasses above the reception desk gave the impression of a middle Eastern gangster who had won the hotel in a bet - it didn't aid the ambience.

Staff are very good here , helpful.& friendly in both reception & restaurant / bar . The room was comfortable & had a fan , ironing board /iron , water , biscuits , mints & toiletries so everything needed for a good stay . Leisure centre pool , jacuzzi, spa included in room price so very good . Food both in bar & restaurant is lovely. Great chef . We love this hotel and come back time and time again because of the great staff & great food .

Area around the door to restaurant & bar needs a good tidy with some nice flower pots to brighten it up as not very appealing. & chairs in the small.lounge part of bar need replacing as worn out . .

The staff were incredibly welcoming upon arrival and very helpful. The hotel decor was absolutely stunning and we couldn't quite believe we had a room for the night for £90. The spa facilities were lush too. Very impressed with the hotel and so glad we stayed. We are looking to visit again hopefully for longer to allow us to use all the facilities next time.

The only thing to say was that the cleaners entered our room at 10:50, this is the only negative thing regarding our stay!

The hotel staff were exceptional throughout our stay and in every department. Lovely surroundings and the spa area was lovely. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and kept us going all day!

Our room door had a large gap down one side, which let a lot of light in from the hall. Sounds petty, but it shone quite brightly all night. On Sunday, we spent a couple of hours by the pool. Unfortunately, some children( teens and a small child) who constantly jumped in and made lots of noise rather spoilt our afternoon of peace and quiet! Normally, we wouldn't have minded, but we were there to relax! After all, there are plenty of signs around the pool saying so.

Clean and comfortable room. Very comfortable bed. The food was delicious and the choice was good and varied on the set chef's menu. All the staff were very helpful and welcoming.

The fire doors by our room, 322 were constantly,, day and night being used by other guests as a quick and convenient exit from the accommodation, rather than using the reception entrance. This was despite a notice on the fire doors by room 322 stating it was an emergency exit only! And, that there was CCTV cameras and anyone using it except for emergency exit would be fined £200. We constantly had to leave our room day and night to close the door as when it was open the wind blew straight into our bedroom making it very cold. The bed was in a direct line with the door and it was like sleeping in a wind tunnel at times.
