Well, where do I start... we stayed for one night, 2 adults, 2 children, and a dog. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Showed us to the room, which is part of an outbuilding next to the pub. Very spacious room, comfy beds, tea / coffee making facilities, WiFi, and breakfast included. Wow. We also had dinner, and the food is incredible - top quality and generous portions of fresh home cooked food. Even the childrens menu. Great selection on the specials board, too. Can recommend the fish and chips, steak and ale pie, steak and ale pudding, (lasagne and scampi - kids) The quality and quantity for breakfast too was surprising (included in room price) 4 x full English with tea, coffee, juices, and cereals. All of this with a great play area for the kids. Honestly, blown away with this place, will definitely be back.

Absolutely does not apply here.

Very friendly. It's inexpensive but fairly comfortable. We had a family room with a double and 2 single beds. There was no en-suite in the room but the bathroom was directly outside the room and was exclusive for our use. They could do with some new bedding and linen, but it was adequate. Nice range of beers and children are welcome in the bar as it doubles as a restaurant. The food was typical pub grub and quite good. There is a nice kids' play area in the garden. A lovely breakfast was included in the price.

Lovely friendly hosts, enjoyed the bar, breakfasts and a meal on one night too (particularly delicious chips!!), very handy location for where we wanted to go out and about, really convenient for the A14. Good parking, cosy room. Very good value for money too.

Only issue was noise at times from other guests, walls / ceilings thin so noise carried very well, I'm sure they thought we were loud too, it's hard to gauge exactly. But it was the only thing we really noticed, everything else was lovely.

This is my favourite place to stay when visiting Suffolk. The staff and owners are all lovely and you get a warm welcome. The accommodation is in its own separate block just to the side of the pub and its fab. The beds are comfy and the showers are powerful and nice and hot. The pub itself is full of character with big fireplaces and lots of choices of where to sit. The food is freshly cooked and everything I had was delicious. There's a good sized car park so no need to worry about vehicle safety. There is also a nice colourful children's play area and lots of outside seating/picnic benches for the summer months.

Very nice and friendly staff, clean room with comfy beds. Easy access to rooms, free parking right outside. Had dinner att the cozy pub in the evening, large portion of tasty food. Dogs welcome at the pub. Did not have time to enjoy breakfast in the morning since I had to leave at 7 am but they kindly prepared a package of egg and bacon sandwiches for me to bring with me. Easy access to rooms, free parking right outside.

The only downside with this place is that it the rooms (at least my room) are not at all well soundproofed. All the noise from other rooms and people walking in stairs comes through.

Had 4 delicious meals - 2 had steak suet puddings, 1 pepperpot beef and rice and a pork casserole. Had a very warm welcome by one of the staff who showed 2 of us to our room. It was unfortunate for us that there was no room at the Inn for another 2 adults but booked a room down the road. Very busy despite high winds which meant they had to take down 3 marques. Had a great breakfast served by co owner Matthew who made you feel welcome. Would highly recommend. Great value. A little dated but comfy beds.

Genial host, good for contractors, plenty of parking good for vans although narrow access roads. Decent beer, plain good food had beef curry of specials board, tasty, food price average. Rooms comfy, decent breakfast real deal clincher complimentary custard creams in the room.

The only real issue was showers although adequate bit slow. Sorry but as a contractor need a decent shower.

Beautiful location, very friendly staff, rooms nice and comfy, tea and coffee facilities, food and drink in the pub next door, ample parking, beer garden, would visit again.

Fillet steak could have been better quite fatty on edges and never had this on fillet steak before( maybe me being picky), burger looked lovely though, rooms a bit dated, shower not very powerful and in my line of work I need to feel clean and used to a more powerful one.

Perfectly situated for our visit to Suffolk. The pub/ hotel was friendly and convenient. The staff were exceptionally friendly, efficient and helpful. The food was excellent.

The rooms were quite small and contained dated furniture. The property requires money spending on it - as the carpets , curtains and furniture are tired! We gather the business/ property has recently been put up for sale.
