Location, we were there to celebrate New years eve so at the pub for celebrations and live band. Opposite the river in pretty Ironbridge. Nicely decorated rooms, lovely linen, towels and mini toiletries.Shower lovely and plenty of hot water. Tea and coffee making facilities. Clean and comfortable, plenty of space. Huge TV. Nice staff, good breakfast choice.
Bed was a bit squeaky. Room was noisy in the morning, other guests coming and going. Probably as there is a gap under door which also let light in. Minor suggestions;Could do with a shelf and mirror above the sink in the bathroom.

We celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary here and on arrival there was a complimentary bottle of bubbly chilling in our room.. The room was clean with ample towels, toiletries and tea and coffee. The breakfast and evening meal were very good as was the service and waiting staff and bar staff attentive at all times. The evening entertainment was excellent on both the Friday and Saturday evenings. Our room was serviced on a daily basis by a very polite cleaner. We can only speak highly of Harry the Manager and his team of staff who looked after well with attention to detail at all times. We would both highly recommend the Malthouse Hotel and from the minute we arrived on the Friday afternoon to leaving on the Monday morning we were certainly looked after really well by Harry and his team of staff. We were concerned about parking on arrival but were told to park at their sister hotel, The Swan which was 2 doors down the road. Well Done and we would certainly visit again.
Everything was excellent.

Standard of room and location were excellent. Not really bothered by the band playing. Novel fit out to penthouse suite. Food was excellent - both the included breakfast and the dinner we bought at night also. Staff very helpful.
Room was reasonably clean but floor not vacuumed well and surfaces still appeared grimey … so even though clean, not a sense of cleanliness. Also, departure waylaid by 2 hours due to being parked in by another guest and no way for the staff to respond and sort out which left a poor feeling at end of a great stay. Hotel should improve signage and warn cars could be towed if left impacting other guests.

We loved how laid back everything was, the staff were great, very helpful especially Caitlin who was lovely, we stayed in the Bakehouse with our dog, breakfast was delicious, very good value stay & fab location, wound definitely stay again 😊
We stayed in the Bakehouse in the Turquoise room, it was a little small with our dog & we had our own private bathroom opposite which was ok, the only negative about the bathroom was that it needed some “TLC” there were no towel rails to hang your towels on, no hook either on the back of the door, there was no toilet roll holder & there were no shelves to put your toiletries on which was very annoying & disappointing as there was plenty of room on the walls for all of these little inexpensive extra touches?!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Malt House Bed and Breakfast in Telford for the second time, and once again, it was a wonderful experience. The cleanliness of the establishment stood out, with fresh sheets and towels provided, ensuring a comfortable stay. The breakfast options were delightful, especially the vegetarian choice and the pancakes, catering well to various dietary preferences. Although the room initially had a slight musty smell upon arrival, this was quickly resolved when the gentleman at the reception opened the windows, allowing fresh air to circulate and making the room cool and pleasant.A significant perk was the availability of a hairdryer in the room, which was essential for me as I was participating as a model in a competition the following day. The staff were consistently nice and pleasant, adding to the welcoming atmosphere of the bed and breakfast. The location is also a highlight, with a lovely river nearby that provides a beautiful setting for a relaxing stroll. Overall, my stay at The Malt House was fantastic, and I look forward to returning in the future. Highly recommended!
The smell of the room on arrival just a tad musty

The location, close to the Iron Bridge, one of the museums and not bad for the others, some walkable. The views of the Severn river, and how fast it flows and how much it rises and falls, were amazing. The food, both breakfast and we also had dinners there. The bathroom size and facilities, especially shower very easy to operate and effective.
The room was a bit dowdy, but Carl the owner told us it is due for a refurb. It would be great if there were a lift to access the rooms on the upper floors, if possible within any Listed Building permission. A chair or something else would be great in the bathroom, to help more senior visitors to dry their feet and so on.

Three of us stayed here for a night because one of us had some tough family stuff to attend to and staying at The Malthouse was a nice interval to the difficult parts. Great decor, friendly staff, fantastic food. Really good value room and easy to find. We were able to park overnight at their sister pub just down the road. Good atmosphere. Breakfast was fantastic. The view out from the beer garden is stunning, it's such a pretty town. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room were appreciated. Plenty of pillows on the bed and the bedding was lovely too, even the towels were nice and soft. Toiletries provided were nice and the shower was fantastic, excellent water pressure and lovely & warm.
There was a noisy private event going on til midnight that would have been good to know about in advance but everything was done by midnight and it's not the venue's fault that the karaoke singers were awful! I could also hear the TV from the room next door to me but it's clearly a very old building so the walls probably aren't very thick. Again, like the party downstairs, everything was quiet after midnight. The beds are very small doubles. The toilet in my room was wedged between the shower and the wall so it was a rather...snug experience to use the loo, but the rooms used by my friends didn't have this issue. All superior rooms are upstairs but the stairs up aren't too steep - just something to be mindful of if you have accessibility issues.

Reasonably nice room, staff once I was able to speak with them very nice, restaurant / pub very good, fantastic breakfast available from 0700 which is a massive bonus! As many UK B&B type places don't start till 0730 which normally leads me to having miss breakfast.
I arrived on what seemed to be a very busy week night, which I assume was the issue? It took me just over 10 mins to get the attention of a staff member to check in who then told me to sit and wait, which I did, but took a further 5 to get the extremely pleasant manager to get into the room; this doesn't leave one with the best first impressions.

It is very beautiful inside and out with the decor of the building. The room is very comfortable and feels very luxurious. The staff were very inviting and are happy to help. There was live music on until about 12pm on the night which was really good and drinks were very affordable.
If you are a couple that wants to go to bed and chill early on the night then this isn’t the hotel for you as the music from downstairs is very loud. Can be heard and felt from the bedroom ( maybe because we were directly above). As this loud music goes on until 12pm maybe later some nights. Even on Sundays ( maybe because it was Easter weekend) But this wasn’t an issue for us.

Friendly staff comfortable rooms. Had a family meal in the snug area which was great. Celebrated my 60th with my family . Had a great time. The Penthouse Appartment was across the car park and was great we also had double rooms in the main building.
There was music noise in the rooms during the afternoon but not an issue later as we were in the function area watching the band 😀 If you want peace and quiet, it may not be the place for you unless you like music and fun . Noise from the band could be heard in the Penthouse where the young children were. Overall I recommend the Malthouse brilliant time.
