Very friendly, welcoming, helpful staff. Great food, evening meals and fantastic breakfast! Relaxed pub atmosphere with good selection of real ales. Nice additional touches - biscuits and hot chocolate sachets in room, toiletries in bathroom. Lovely location, easy walk to the Ironbridge, museums and local shops. Lots of parking, another bonus. Felt it was really good value for money. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely couple of days.

Bedroom was over the bar, so could be a bit noisy at times. However, this is emphasised in the particulars beforehand, so you know in advance. It didn’t bother us at all and it was good to find a pub that is obviously popular with locals and tourists alike.

Obviously not a modern slick part of an international chain but, in many ways, all the better for that. The pub is obviously popular with the local clientelle as evidenced by the number of 'end of day tradesmen' taking advantage of the real ale on offer. The host greated us with a warm welcome and showed us to our room, which adimittedly was small (rooms were in the days when this pub was built) but had everything needed for a good night's sleep. The bed was so comfortable that if I had come with a van I would have bought it and taken it home. Tea /coffee and biscuits and a bottle of water conveniently presented. Hair dryer also present. The bathroom had all essentials and was spotlessly clean. Easy to use shower with plenty of hot water. The pub menu is not extensive but the food ( we had salads) was nicely presented and very tasty. Full English in the morning completed a very pleasant visit. Anyone visiting Ironbridge for its history will get a better insight into English culture staying here than in a chain hotel. A freindly informal British pub.

The steps up to the room were very steep, the building is in a gorge, so perhaps not the best for people with limited mobility. The pub is seperated from the river by a road so sitting out at the front is disturbed a little by passing traffic but there was no traffic noise at night

Breakfast was superb. Location is excellent for discovering Ironbridge on foot, leaving the car so it can have a rest.

Not the fault of the property but relates to previous manager. E mail sent by booking was inaccurate in relation to kitchen opening hours causing me to take meals away from venue. Spoke to property and they stated that information necessary to amend this has not been passed on to them by previous manager. Please find a way to resolve this issue. food served from 1200 hours daily until 2000 hours except Sunday when it is 1800 hours.

Very old traditional public houses are rare in these days and the location just opposite the new bridge was lovely. Well worth the 4 hour drive from London. Staff and management were friendly, approachable and accommodating. Parking facilities were fair and plenty but only one disabled parking space which was not nearest to the building. The food was really well priced and very tasty, great value for money and drinks prices were more than fair. The lobby by the rooms is spotless offering books to those who decide that they want to read something. The room was absolutely excellent. I have stayed in 4-5 star hotels that the cleanliness was not quite as good, the bathroom facilities were spotless as well. Private outside smoking area away from the pub front for guests is a really great commodity. Regulars are very friendly and welcoming. 2 minute drive to the Iron Bridge brings you into a thriving area with shops, other pubs and a lot of people. Victorian Village is very close by and other great commodities and museums. Would definitely book again. Great prices. Quite surprisingly Uber eats also has a lot to offer in this area.

Access to the rooms is not disabled access friendly so lumping a heavy suitcase up uneven steep steps with a stomach hernia and spine damage was very painful. As a blogger I leave honest reviews and the upstairs area where the rooms are could do with an air freshener including the en suite bathroom. It is a very old building and has that musky smell. Noise could be an issue during the day but it’s above a pub with pub noises. WiFi had issues. I found booking out at 10am unusual but I’m sure with a chat to the management this could be extended to 11am as an individual request.

Originally coming from the area and the Robin Hood being my local, I had no hesitation in staying there on a recent return visit to Shropshire. Warm comfortable en suite room suited our needs perfectly. Full English breakfast to start the day topped off a nice stay at the Robin Hood. Having known Becky, the landlady, for a few years the standard of accommodation was exactly what I would have expected with her in charge.

We both found the mattress a little too soft for our liking, we have hard ones at both the chalet and caravan, but that is our personal choice . Also be aware that the kitchen is also closed on a Wednesday night too, the day of our visit, the Booking.com website states it's closed only on Monday and Tuesday.

Situated at one end of Ironbridge, we were able to walk up both sides of the gorge to the view points and grab an ice cream in the town afterwards. It is much more relaxing when you don’t have to use the car all of the time. Cooked breakfast was really good and a lovely coffee every morning. Good variety of cereal on offer and toast every day. Bed was very comfortable and we both slept well.

Excellent location to explore Ironbridge - the room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with a good hot drink selection including biscuits. The breakfasts were great- freshly cooked to order and really set us up for the day. The staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely stay again

Brilliant breakfast. Near enough to town but gentle walk far enough to get away from main tourist area. Staff exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

Only criticism would be we were given room at the back of building with view of a wall.Even though rooms at front overlooking river were vacant.

Loved the staff, breakfast was lovely and they were very accommodating. The 3 Ensuite rooms that we booked were fab for our adult family of 5 for a short stay over the weekend, lovely short walk to Ironbridge. And being a public house was also convenient for the evenings, would definitely recommend.

Nothing all good.

Location was good, breakfast was good. Good choice of food for evening meal.

Bed could have been a bit more comfy. I had a phone call after we left asking if we would be returning the glasses we took from our room, which we haven't taken. The glasses weren't in the room when we arrived.
