For Ironbridge Village and the surrounding area, this is a great location. The walk to the village takes about 10-15 minutes, during which you pass 3 pubs, all of which serve the usual array of lunch and evening fare. Within the actual village itself is a great Fish and Chip shop. The hotel is practical and serves its purpose very well. However, like most such places, it has perhaps seen better days, but all in all, it was comfortable and relaxing. The staff both in the reception and in the restaurant for breakfast we very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and tasted very good.

As noted above, the hotel serves its purpose, and you really get what you pay for within its price band. However, if you are a business traveller and require a good solid continuous Internet connection, then unfortunately at this hotel you will not get this, as the system kicks you off every 2 or 3 mins...which is both annoying and time consuming. One final thing for the kitchen management, please change the filter coffee. It was stewed.....what about a nice fresh latte machine or cafetieres would be so much better.

This hotel has character and is in a fantastic location with parking and gardens that lead to the river and is only a short scenic walk to the Ironbridge. Staff were exceptional, professional and friendly. Breakfasts were hearty, the hotel has WiFi, was very clean and has a restaurant and bar. I enjoyed my stay and would happily return to stay again.

The hotel does not have a lift but staff will offer to help you take your bags to your room. Mobile signal is not great in Ironbridge.

Hotel grounds opened up to a beautiful park which led down to the river. A lovely place to sit and relax. Location couldn't have been better for the centre of Ironbridge . A lovely antique centre and cafes just a short stroll through the park too. I would recommend a stay here . The breakfast was excellent and a pleasant place to sit with views over the garden and park.

The room was on the second floor . Attic room a little small but then again not overpriced for a couple of nights stay . Maybe consider upgrade on price a little and get a lower floor room , however, facilities and cleanliness excellent.

Good location within walking/short drive of Ironbridge attraction in grounds adjacent to the river. Ample parking. Room reasonably spacious and good WiFi. Excellent restaurant. We would stay again.

Room was on the 2nd floor and a climb with luggage, although help was offered. This room is not for those with mobility limitations.

Thin walls in bedroom. Lounges could be better. Parties caused noise in restaurant. Also found if we had booked half board directly with hotel we could have saved 10% on dinners, which were quite high price. Annoyed Booking.com only aloud us to book bed and breakfast.

The hotel is located in a beautiful valley with stunning gardens to the rear which made for a lovely view over dinner. The room was comfortable and contained everything we needed - it was rather small but for the two of us for one night, was all we really needed. The staff on reception were most welcoming when we arrived, and in the restaurant and the bar were lovely. The dinner we had in the restaurant was excellent, and arguably one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. The food alone would be reason enough to make us return, but when coupled with the wonderful location and welcoming staff, we’d found this to be an excellent place.

The only small gripe we could made would be that there was a wedding party in the hotel which we were not informed about in advance. Whilst this didn’t impact on our evening, it did mean we were sat in a lounge upon arrival, however the wedding party soon spread into the lounge making us feel as if we should have to leave - which we did. This meant we went and sat in our room, which wasn’t an issue as such, just a point to note.

Great location near places of interest. Also the outlook and garden is outstanding, as it meets up with a park and river trail. This is not mentioned enough, sitting out under those established trees is a real bonus. Staff are so pleasant and helpful, cannot fault them. Food good.

Room 15 was rather warm, as one window could not open for security reasons. I would avoid in the summer. On the plus side there was an entrance with chair and place for suitcases so the room seemed more spacious.

The staff were really lovely and the food was excellent!

The pillows were not very good and kept falling down the back of the bed, making it quite uncomfortable. Also the table tops throughout were sticky, and I think this is due to the varnish lifting, which happens when you sanitise wood tables, but it gives a feeling of being a bit unclean, even though I know it wasn't as I saw the tables being cleaned. The shower wasn't great either, but this was an electric shower, so it was only to be expected.

The staff were excellent. Called me before arrival to check the room layout required. Very organised and proactive at breakfast and evening meals and friendly throughout. I also really liked the location and setting and the hotel. Easy walking to Ironbridge and shops, pubs etc, plus the setting of the hotel itself next to the park and river.

The one negative was that on the Saturday night there was quite a lot of noise from people in the room above us at antisocial hours. There had been a wedding hosted at the hotel and perhaps this was why.

Chez Maw restaurant was excellent value in the evening and staff very attentive throughout our stay. Food well presented and plenty of choice at breakfast. Cleanliness good on all areas although outside tables left I wiped between guests

Attention to detail in the bedroom was lacking and the runner on the bed was badly stained. Surfaces throughout the hotel were sticky with an overload of surface spray. This was evident on tables, staircase hand rail and cabinets in bedrooms . Bed in room 15 creaked
