I love this place. I had another booking a lot cheaper but when a friend couldn't make it I chose this place over the other. I stayed here last year (in the smaller double, Chaucer room) and was really looking forward to returning to it. It has a door right next to the bed that opens up into a beautiful little haven. Your own little patio with table and chairs where I had my fish n chips (from local good chippy) and a stepped garden with flowers and another patio and grass area, and the church just there at the back too, such a lovely peaceful place with a view over the old roof tops. Sarah and Tim are perfect hosts, providing everything you need plus that little extra touch. Breakfast is cooked with fresh local produce and is superb. I even managed to park nearer this time too, using the provided permit, just a minute away in village carpark.

The shower is a bit fierce! but otherwise perfect. and pillows a little uncomfortable, could be softer. That's it!

Hotel is situated in the centre of Ironbridge and very easy to locate from the directions provided by the host. We were shown to our room which was very tastefully decorated. The host then offered us tea and coffee and some delicious chocolate brownies, which were served in the sitting room. We were also given a menu with several breakfast choices, which also included cereal and fruit juice. In our room we also had tea, fresh coffee and hot chocolate, and we were provided with a flask of milk. The host made sure that we had everything we required and that we were comfortable. We had a very pleasant stay and I would highly recommend The Library House.

We would have preferred to have an earlier check in, perhaps 3-3.30pm, but maybe that wasn't suitable for the host. Everything else was great.

We are mature cyclists. We travelled from South Wales to Shrewsbury along the National Cycle Network, stopping at four hotels en route. Of the four this was by far the most memorable. The hostess, Sarah, couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Our bikes were stored overnight in a safe secure spot. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the breakfast menu was imaginative and beautifully presented. We will remember this stay far more than the others

Nothing…wish we had explored the area more fully.

An exceptional place to stay. Sarah is the most wonderful host of this absolutely stunning property. Attention to detail is above and beyond expectations. The choice for breakfast is superb. Cleanliness of the whole property is 10/10. The garden is also pure love. You can tell that love and passion has gone into this property and sarah and Tim are the perfect custodians and have ploughed are great deal of love into it. It is the perfect place to stay in Ironbridge and we would highly recommend it. We will definitely return. Mabel their rescue terrier also deserves a mention as she is the perfect meet and great and loves a fuss

Cannot speak highly enough of the Library House and our hosts, Sarah & Tim. The Library House is beautiful, comfortable and full of history. We stayed in the Chaucer Room with access to the beautifully maintained garden. Our room was spotless, with every little detail thought of. The breakfast Room and lounge are charming. Our breakfasts were amazing! We were made to feel very welcome. Would highly recommended as a wonderful place to stay if visiting Ironbridge.

I liked everything about this place and the service and welcome that I recieved. I stay in a lot of different hotels and I have to say that this is right up there, I rarely give full marks! I was looking forward to my room knowing it had its own patio, but it exceeded my expectation. Everything was imaculate, my room was clean and snug and I had the entire beautiful garden to wander round right outside my own door. It was a little haven of tweeting birds and chiming church bells, and I was not only able to sit outside with my chippy dinner I brought in, but was even provided a plate and cutlery and a glass of wine to go with it! Breakfast was also cooked fresh to your liking and to perfection. Such a warm welcome from Tim and Sarah, nothing was too much trouble and I almost didn't want to leave!

There is nothing I didn't like about this accommodation! ... The only thing amiss would be the absence of an onsite carpark and having to lugg my baggage across the bridge, but obviously these old houses were not built for vehicles! and I was provided with a free permit, so our lovely hosts had covered all angles, and quite honestly it was a small price to pay for such a lovely accommodation, and well worth the slight inconvenience.

Just had a wonderful 2 night stay in the Library House which is located centrally in Ironbridge. The breakfasts were delicious with quality ingredients and the Eliot room was delightful. Super comfy bed, very quiet and all the facilities you need. Nice touches include a carafe of sherry in the room and proper milk for your tea/coffee. Sarah is a very welcoming host and can provide plenty of info about the local area including places to eat. You cannot park outside but it is no problem as the car park is a 3 minute walk and you are provided with a parking permit. We hope to make a return visit to explore more of the area.

I cannot say anything negative about our overall experience.

Excellent, friendly hosts, Sarah & Tim. Thoroughly enjoyed our chats & gave us ideas on what to see & do in Ironbridge. We were in the Chaucer room which also had an outdoor seating area into the garden. We were greeted with a cup of tea & slice on arrival & Sarah catered beautifully for my dietary requirements. The Library House is very central to the main street, tourist attractions & walks. Would definitely stay again

Lovely hosts, Sarah and Tim, friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful Georgian townhouse. I stayed in the Chaucer room and had my own private door to the garden. The room had its own ensuite (toilet, sink, and shower) and was spacious, towels were fluffy and soft. The toiletries smelt lovely. The bed was comfortable. A selection of teas, coffees, (including freshly ground), and a electric kettle was in the room. The hosts also left a flask with cold milk, which was fantastic because it cuts down on those little plastic ones and you get a decent amount of milk. It did get cold during the night but the duvet kept me warm, however for anyone who feels the cold more, there is a water bottle available. I had a very peaceful, restful nights sleep. Breakfast was delicious. Sarah was lovely and when I said I couldn't have Quorn sausages she managed to find me Linda McCartney vegan ones. It's the little things that make a difference and I really appreciated that. Hot coffee, fresh orange juice, and wholemeal toast was a fantastic way to start the day. Thanks for a wonderful stay, and hopefully see you again soon.

I liked everything.

Such a pretty place! The village in itself is stunning and this B&B definitely met and even surpassed all expectations, with its cosy room and secluded garden. The house is beautiful and really tastefully decorated and the room equipped with everything you may need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Breakfast was delicious too and cooked on the spot. The owner and her cute dog a really friendly! Shall we back in the area we would stay there again and will definitely recommend it! Ironbridge in itself is a true gem of a place!
