A lovely historic village , very quiet and peaceful. The staff and everyone we met in the village were friendly and welcoming. The food at The Raven was exceptional. Breakfast was cooked to perfection with great local produce. The meals in the restaurant and the lounge equally high quality, good choice whichever option you chose. We enjoyed every meal and were not tempted to look elsewhere during our 3 night stay. We expected to investigate other restaurants in the area but didn’t feel any need to. After two hot and tiring days visiting the Ludlow food festival (which was also a great experience), we didn’t feel the need to explore further for our evening meal. Overall we had a really lovely break and will definitely return.

Nothing really. It was very hot when we stayed so a fan in the room would have been welcome but that’s all. The Raven has no control over the weather and such heat in the UK is a rarity! The room was comfortable and clean, bed very comfortable, which are the main things we look for.

Beautiful location. Stayed from Fri to Sunday for a weekend break in October. Hotel was spotless. Enjoyed a wonderful meal in the restaurant on Friday evening. Compliments to the chef as the food was delicious and well priced for the quality. Breakfast was also delicious, with plenty of choice and excellent quality. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Much Wenlock has a few independent shops, pubs and restaurants to potter about, but fairly small in one area. Small museum, lovely church and a visit to the Abbey was enjoyable. Fee to enter as English Heritage site, with a good gift shop attached. Lovely, quaint village and we found the local people friendly and happy to have a chat.

Shops mostly closed on the Sunday, unable to take home some of the food treats spotted on Saturday eg deli shop and pie shop. Didn't want to buy Saturday as unable to store anywhere to keep fresh before traveling home.

Food was lovely, located in a nice little village. if you want a modern hotel with all the facilities its not for you. This is a small hotel that needs some updating but it was clean and all the staff were friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble for them. As a disabled person they went out of their way to do everything they could to ensure I had a comfortable stay.

nothing to say.

lovely friendly and amenable staff and clean and large comfortable rooms. good car park at the hotel and the dinner and breakfast were very good with Gluten free options available, Fabulous location in easy reach of the town and a lovely little farm shop attached to the hotel.

Some parts of the hotel are a little tired and in need of modernisation but it didnt detract from our stay and would go back. The staff more than made up for it.

The fact that I have returned to "The Raven" several times over the past few years is a testimony to my satisfaction. I like "the old established ambiance" of The Raven - although the narrow stairs are an ever-growing challenge for me! The staff are always welcoming, helpful, polite and efficient.

A small, but important detail, iIn room No. 8] the wash hand basin and bath plugs could be of the correct size!

I was only here for one night but wished my stay was longer as the hotel was so good. I loved the breakfast - it was one of the best full English breakfasts I've ever had and extremely good value considering it was included in the room price. The building is really historic and beautiful, and we enjoyed having drinks in the bar in the evening. All the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Booking.com didn't allow us to change our dates very easily despite help from the staff. This made it a bit confusing but the fault was entirely with this website, so I would recommend calling the reception staff directly to make changes as they helped me a lot with this.

The Raven is a little bit of history in a wonderfully historic location. The staff were exceptionally attentive, friendly, and efficient. The rooms were attractively, but simply, decorated.

Can't think of anything! Except maybe, one dog in the restaurant that wouldn't settle, and was noisy. Maybe need to be more "picky" when the hotel says it's "dog friendly"!!

Staff were very friendly and helpful, old and quirky building in a very lovely town setting. Spacious room (no 10) with all the basics. Clean. Floors aren't level and stairs creak like mad but this is what you expect from an old building! It's all part of its charm. We loved it and we would certainly stay again. The breakfast was very nice and served quickly. Our evening meal was very good, quirky menu choices but very enjoyable.

Bed was a little lumpy and bouncy. Shower water came out very hot but manageable with the mixer tap.

A lovely warm welcome, big room with extremely comfy four poster bed, tea and coffee supplied. Bathroom had soft fluffy towels. We enjoyed a superb meal in the restaurant and a full English for breakfast. The staff were extremely accommodating. It was a great find.

Beautiful large room in a lovely little village. Very clean and tea and coffee facilities were well stocked. Breakfast was cooked freshly to order and good portion size which set us up for the day. Lovely polite staff and mad to feel very welcome.

There was nothing that I didn't like.
