First, this is a great hotel and the staff are excellent! The rooms are small but comfortable. The bed was also very comfortable. Depending on the side of the hotel, your view outside will vary. We got to look at the back of Waterloo Station which wasn't the most scenic but that wasn't why we picked the hotel either. The location is excellent and we walked everywhere from the hotel. Waterloo Station is also less than 5 minutes away so if you prefer the train it is easily accessible. The sitting area was great. The bar was also excellent. You'll feel like you are in a very fancy living room with jazzy music playing in the background. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance (highly recommend Rosa's Thai- that place is sensational!)

There wasn't much for the breakfast that's for sure. The staff did provide nice coffee drinks from the bar though and that was a plus. There is not a lot of space in the bathroom- it's basically a toilet walled off by frosted glass so minimal privacy. If you are traveling with new boyfriends/girlfriends, you should be ready to get pretty familiar with each other really fast if you stay here.

Great location and lovely facilities. Staff super friendly and helpful.

Needs better soundproofing on the doors as could hear people coming in drunk late at night and stumbling around the hallway but soundproofing between rooms and against external noise was good.

We stayed here because it was close to South Bank and The Royal Festival Hall. We were in London for our son!s graduation. We were able to walk to the Royal Festival Hall where this event was held. We had a great day and afterwards we enjoyed street food out in Lower Marsh and that evening got a handy tube from Waterloo to Leicester Square to see The Mousetrap at St Martin’s Theatre. We also walked across Waterloo Bridge past Whitehall up to Horse Guards round St James’s Park up The Mall to Buckingham Palace and back across Westminster Bridge The Hiuses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and back to Ruby Lucy Hotel. Just 15000 steps!! Amazing location to stay! Highly recommended!! We will stay here again. Very friendly low key yet everything you need. Staff are lovely. Genuinely friendly and cocktail list and lunch menu really good. Not overly expensive for location. Definitely recommend!!

Lack of storage in bedroom. we lived out of cases

Rooms are great, bright, spacious and clean with great sound proofing

I’d rather have a kettle rather than a speaker in the room. Bit awkward to go out into the corridor in your pjs

The style, decor and layout of the rooms and hotel - quirky, funky, fashionable, comfortable, practical, modern and relaxing. The staff were really welcoming, friendly, happy and helpful. The shower and products were great, the bed really comfortable, the room exceptionally clean and temperature controlled. We loved the bar area, breakfast choice, maxi bar, rooftop terrace. The tea was lovely, wonderful location near the station, graffiti tunnels and short walk to the river. This was our first stay at a Ruby hotel. Loved it and definitely would stay again. Thank you very much and please keep opening more throughout the UK. Fantastic hotel brand.

Nothing - we loved everything about our stay.

I recently stayed at this hotel and it was an amazing experience overall. The welcome we received upon arrival was incredibly warm, making us feel truly welcomed. The check-in process was fast and easy, which was a great start to our stay. - Cleanliness: The room was clean and comfortable. - 24/7 Drinks: Access to drinks around the clock was a fantastic feature. - Bag Storage: Convenient bag storage for sightseeing. - Location: Close to the London Eye and just a 5-minute walk from Waterloo Station. - Room Accessories: The room had nice accessories that added to the comfort. We only stayed for one day, but we would love to stay longer next time.

The room was a bit small, but this wasn't a major issue. The room lacked a minibar, which would have added to the convenience of our stay. Despite the minor cons, the positive aspects of this hotel far outweighed them.

Simply one of the best stays I've ever had in London. The neighbourhood is very quiet and feels very safe. There are many bars and coffee shops nearby. The staff is incredible and made me feel at home. The 24-hour bar is also super handy; I came back from the clubs and was able to order a pizza that saved me from a strong hangover! The room itself is HUGE and as gorgeous as the pictures show. The open bathroom is very romantic, and I loved all the facilities offered. The shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel were of great quality. The beds were super comfortable, and the room felt very clean and quiet. The little areas where you could get your coffee or use the ironing board are very smart and help you meet other travellers too. I would definitely stay there again.

I don't have anything bad to say. Maybe making the check-in a little bit faster. Other than that, it's an incredible hotel.

Everything! Really unusual design which is what attracted me in the first instance, just wonderful. We had room 314 which was a loft room and it was fabulous. Spacious, bright and clean with a nice size balcony. The tea/coffee making is situated on the landing. Having read previous reviews, I knew to expect this and it wasn’t a shower stopper at all. The staff were super friendly and made you feel very welcome. Extensive drinks menu, recommend the Tiramisu Martini, delicious!. Not a massive food menu, we had the meat/cheese board for lunch but ate out in the evening as we were going to a show. This was a birthday trip for my husband and it didn’t disappoint at all.

I feel sad to say there was one thing. The bin by the toilet in our room had not been emptied from the previous guests and there were used sanitary towels in there. I only spotted this on the morning of our departure so was too late to make a point of saying anything.

Loved the location only a 5 min walk to London Waterloo Train Station. I arrived early before i could check in so left my luggage and went off to meetings all day it was late when i got back to the hotel, but all was easy checking in and the room was a good size plenty of room, clean, modern and had such a comfy bed with nice sheets. The staff were all very nice and made you feel welcome.

The only slight thing that let it down was the breakfast as it was only a continental breakfast they offered. Just wished they had more hot food........what they did offer was lovely, but with so many great food places yards from the hotel i feel they slightly needed to up their game.

Great location in Waterloo. The street itself is bustling and fun with restaurants, a daytime market with street food, some pubs and shops. We walked just about everywhere from the hotel or an easy tube ride. The staff was excellent!! And definitely book this with breakfast included. They made the best cappuccinos and had a lovely buffet breakfast with healthy options. Can’t say enough about the staff - they went out of their way to make us feel welcome at every turn.

The shower leaked into the rest of the bathroom. But not a big deal.
