The hotel itself is a little tired - could do with a repaint in a few areas. BUT it was very clean. The food we had (from the bar) was fantastic. Well cooked and very quick service. There were 6 adults in our party and 1 baby, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very impressive. Continental style along with a buffet breakfast which was fresh and hot and replenished frequently. We used the swimming pool which we found to be clean as were the steam room and changing rooms. Really impressed with the Mecure. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you to staff for an excellent enjoyable stay.

As mentioned above the hotel could do with a bit of a revamp some parts are looking a bit tired. BUT as also mentioned above it was clean and the rooms were very comfortable.

Proximity to family. Very welcoming staff. Friendly and approachable View from room was lovely. Great it had gym and pool Although near busy road, no traffic noise! And no noise from function on on Friday night

Very dusty drawers, I had to wipe them out prior to putting clothes into them. Understand difficulties due to Covid times, but decor tired… noticed patches of white paint on out ceiling… whole thing should be painted?? Otherwise would stay again…

I loved the fact that even though I only booked my room a couple of hours before I arrived the hotel was still able to get me into a room with a bath after requested one as due to having MS being in a shower could see me falling and being a solo traveller that could see me stuck unable to get up for hours or worse. There was also the added bonus that the room has a balcony and as a smoker that was a big plus.

I was in room 430 and my only issue was that even when I had made sure the windows were all closed and that the balcony door was not only closed but also locked there was still a constant draft from somewhere.

I didn't eat at the hotel. My room was huge and quiet as I requested. I loved the old fashioned feel to it and it was clean and comfy. I was in room 306 and there seems to be a bit of DIY needed which didn't bother me. As you walk in the room there's a shelf which was slanted and loose, the hot tap in the bathroom was very stiff, a panel of the shower hung off at the bottom and the bottom knob to turn the shower on came off. Apart from that, it was fabulous, thank you. The staff were chatty and friendly too

Absolutely shocking that swimming pool and gym was shut for much of our stay, as that was the sole reason for booking this hotel.... No compensation offered by management....In effect, they did not provide the services for which we paid.

staff were very helpful, even to the extent that they delivered our take away pizza! the Chap at the leisure centre was really helpful even though he was closed and front desk were calm, friendly and helpful at all times. Would i stay again? Absolutely! Shane Egan, Clonmel, Tipperary, Ireland

no air vent in the bathroom and no labels to say whether the water from the taps was potable/drinkable. A minor gripe was that the coffee was not refilled, but no real worries there.

Beds were really comfy, great night sleep Able to use the Pool, Spa pool, Gym, Sauna & Steam Room for as long as we wanted (restrictions had been lifted) Bus stop outside x84 takes 20mins to get onto Leeds city centre. Last bus around 11pm. Our room (325) overlooked the wildflower garden/trail Lovely garden/grounds to sit and have a coffee/tea. Wildflower garden /trail that also leads onto Golden Acre Park where you can easily walk through and visit the wild bird lake.

Booked a twin but given a double, asked for housekeeping to converted but it hadn't been done after 4hrs so we ended up calling night manager to bring 2nd set of bedding. Easy conversion, unzip mattresses and undo one thumb screw. Breakfast was a little bit greaser than I like but

The room was quiet; plenty of wardrobe space. The front of house staff were all absolutely brilliant, so friendly and welcoming at all times. The hotel was not busy when we stayed, so they spent a bit of time chatting whilst serving us drinks. The staff were the nicest hotel staff I’ve ever experienced.

We stayed 3 nights but our room did not get any maid service.. we did ask on the front desk, after our second night if someone could just empty the bins, replenish the coffee-making facilities and provide fresh towels. The receptionist asked if we were out for the day, we said yes and we went out all day but on returning in the evening nobody had attended to our request.

Staff are lovely, very friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable, just what we needed to relax after a busy day. We had a studio room which was really spacious. Also love that guests have free use of the health club facilities.

Unfortunately there had been an issue with the pool heating so my morning swim was a little chilly, but it definitely woke me up so wasn't too much of an issue and certainly wouldn't stop us from staying here again!

We arrived for a wedding and as soon as we walk in we was met with the nicest welcome from reception staff all staff members/managers we spoke to was all friendly and very helpful food was lovely room was also very nice and our stay was brilliant for me and my children I will definitely be back to stay and will recommend you to all my family and friends thank you for your great service and a fantastic stay it’s our first time getting away in a long time and you made our stay brilliant xx
