The property was stunning with a beautiful private garden for us to sit in for the evenings. Our room was very comfortable and opened onto a patio area . The breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day . Our hosts were so welcoming and friendily. Everything about the accommodation was so clean and very well maintained .The surrounding area was idyllic, quiet and a pleasure to explore . We were blessed with beautiful weather so our stay was lovely. Thank you

Had a perfect stay nothing to dislike

Stunning peaceful location.cosy atmospheric cottage with every comfort and convenience for a comfortable stay. The setting is amazing and beautiful. The cottage inside and out was so clean.The bed was so comfortable and We were well rested after our stay. .The views were amazing everywhere you .looked.The outside space patio and garden was so well cared for. The hosts were so welcoming and kind .The little extra touches and treats made us us feel very welcome especially after our long trip. The bathroom and shower were spacious and had great power.The attention to detail and thoughtfulness to all our needs was great. The hosts were kind enough to ask in advance of our dietary needs for breakfast.The breakfast was fantastic. Being Vegetarian the hosts provided us with a beautiful fresh nourishing breakfast. We were so impressed with everything.This is a very special place with special hosts.We look forward to returning sometime!

Location was perfect. Very peaceful location in middle of snowdonia national park. There is a river flowing near the house and you can hear the sound of it inside your room if you keep the room door open, its just amazing. You also have access to your private garden and the views are amazing. There are many trails near the house like right next to the house, for walkers its a perfect location. There are many places worth visiting just 30 min drive from the house like portmerion, Porthmadog, caernarfon etc. There is also a town Harlech just at 10 min drive, where you can get nice food in the evenings. Overall a great place to get away from city and daily routine hassle, it just beautiful amd serene.

Nothing to dislike. But just one thing to keep in mind that road from Harelch to house from one side is narrow. But if you come from the other side the road leading to the house is quite good.

My wife and I just had the most amazing stay at Garth Engan, and Joy and Iddon are the perfect hosts, so welcoming and helpful. You have your own private "home" attached to their house consisting of a double bedroom, a spacious shower room/toilet, and a lounge. You also have your own private patio area in the beautiful garden. Joy and Iddon have thought of everything to make your stay a good one. There is a little fridge in the lounge in which you will find a large bottle of water and some milk, and as well as the large selection of tea and coffee there is also a basket of handy snacks which is topped up each day for you. The breakfasts are so delicious, with high quality produce, cooked to perfection, and a good choice of cereals and yogurts, and fresh fruit. And Joy makes her own jam too. The house and garden are beautiful and after a day exploring and sight seeing we enjoyed sitting on the patio listening to the sound of the nearby river. We were so sad when our holiday came to an end and we would absolutely recommend Garth Engan as the perfect place to stay.

We loved everything.

Everything! We were welcomed with open arms, the room was comfortable and clean, an extra living/breakfast room and the choices for breakfast were obundant and delicious! It's a bit outside the beaten path, but that makes it that more peaceful and beautiful to stay in (with your own piece of the garden as well 🤩 ). Would recommend to everybody.

The cottage is set in a beautiful location, being very private with good off-road secure parking .The accommodation is well equipped , clean and has lots of character with a beautiful outside area.The hosts were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.The breakfast was excellent,using homemade and local produce .There was excellent communication from the hosts , from directions to the property and places to eat in the evening .I would definitely stay here again.

There are no negative points about our stay

An excellent, beautiful cottage, with a good location, Iddon and Joy are fantastic hosts, their attention to detail is 5 star, great breakfast, it's lovely to have your own entrance and separate living room, great for relaxing in the evening, we also very much enjoyed sitting out on the private terrace with a cup of tea.

Had a wonderful stay at Garth Engan. Rooms were great and having a sitting room was a really bonus. Hosts were very friendly and it's quite clear they enjoy what they do and want to make everyone's stay special. The breakfast and presentation was fantastic. I enjoyed walking around the hills near the cottage. Stunning scenery especially the waterfall alongside the road on way down to village.

Nothing. Facilities were great but maybe a microwave would have been good.

The breakfast was amazing with a large variety of food, service exceptional given by Iddon and Joy at the Garth Engan who made us feel at home with their friendly helpful manner, through out our stay. we would recommend a stay here to to family and friends and will return in the future.

Our stay was so wonderfully relaxing. The B&B is located so conveniently close to town with beautiful scenery on the drive and many close by walks. The owners were so kind and helpful, and provided a big delicious breakfast every morning. Would 100% stay again if we were able to get away to Wales for an explore!
