The location itself, a mile or thereabouts outside of Barmouth was good for us and although on a main road was quiet enough in the pre-Easter week for windows to be open without any compromise on sleep. There is not much space inside or outside of the unit but how much do you need for a few days? The outlook was predominantly open sea but pleasant and the bench and additional seats provide a comfortable and relaxing option for breakfast and/or an early morning cuppa. Obviously staycations are now somewhat more costly due to owners having to make up their lost revenue due to "the mong" but whilst it could be argued that the cost was high for self-catering we knew what we were getting when we booked. Interaction with the owners was nil, we simply came and went as we assumed they preferred but their (presumed) Son was pleasant when we saw him as we traversed their garden for access to the unit which was clean and tidy. Parking is "interesting" if you have a larger vehicle but owners did their best to accommodate us, altering their own positions during our stay - I assume to deliberately to make our lives easier.

We are blessed with two very relaxed pups which reacted minimally to the owners' dog erring to yappy. There was no real issue for us but I suspect that anyone with a more reactive dog or dogs could find their peace and that of the owners somewhat challenged.

The bed was super comfy and the space heater was a godsend. The view was so lovely, unfortunately, we did not get to enjoy the deck space because it rained the entire time we were there. The wi-fi was great, and we able to stream movies while we escaped from the cold rain.

The bathroom sink was difficult to use because it was tiny, so we mostly used the kitchen sink. There was no shampoo or soap, so be sure to bring your own.

We spent a night here with our daughters and 2 dogs, the views were breathtaking, the hut was spotless it had everything we needed it was so clean, the beds were so comfortable, the garden for the dogs was immaculate, were were gutted to leave we have booked to go back again in summer for 2 nights the perfect little get away.

There was nothing it didn't like, It was perfect.

absolutely great view, very spacious and comfy and well equipped. nice welcome choccies from the owners as well. warm and welcoming despite the cataclysmic weather going on outside.

parking was a tiny bit scary - wasn’t looking forward to reversing down the hill in the morning but luckily I was able to turn. my car is old with zero power so you’d be fine if you have a newer car.

What a beautiful accommodation this is! Spotlessly clean and very well equipped, we had a wonderful weekend here. Garden is fully enclosed so very safe for our puppy. Our hosts Hayley and Gareth were very welcoming and near to hand if you needed anything.

Nothing! Property was brilliant and made for a relaxing stay.

Lovely stay with an amazing view Could do with another mirror in the maing living area, hooks in the bathroom for the towels and bathroom mat.

The entrance to the hut is through the owners own garden, which is not stated in the description. The owners dog was a bit reactive to our pup.

The sea view was amazing. It was lovely having a private garden to sit out and enjoy the views. Comfy bottom bunk bed. Good location.

Bathroom sink very small so we used kitchen sink. We accept this is down to space, being a shepherd's hut.

The property is situated in an elevated position to make the most of a beautiful sea view. Surrounded by greenery with a lovely babbling brook at the side. The property is secure and private which is ideal for children and dogs. Nice seated areas to admire the views. The hut is decorated in a seaside theme and had everything we needed for our weekend stay. A lovely place to relax. A leisurely half an hour walk along the promenade takes you into the town. Plenty to see and do for all ages. A gorgeous expansive beach, surrounded by lovely scenery. The owners give you information before arrival so all is ready for you to start your break straight away undisturbed, numbers available if needed. We didn’t need them as everything was all ready for us. A polite young boy checked all was good with us, a credit to them. Thank you to the owners, we had a great time.

Nothing negative, all was as advertised for self catering.

The sea view was beautiful. To be able to sit out on the decking overlooking the ocean is something special. Sofa is comfortable. Little kitchen area ideal.

The toilet & shower were not as clean as we would have liked. Yellow stains under the toilet seat rim. The seals in the shower were dirty & the shower screen doors hadn’t been cleaned. Didn’t use the shower for this reason.

Everything. The hut was so cosy and had everything you need. The views are amazing and it is a great place to rejuvenate.

There was nothing not to like. We took a small torch which came in handy going to the car at night as I am partially sighted and suffer in the dark more than usual.
