Friendly staff, who were welcoming on arrival. The food was exceptional and made to order rather than sat on a counter like most hotels. The building was very clean including the rooms. Tea and coffee with some biscuits supplied in the rooms. Very comfortable beds and great location central to everything, Can’t hear much traffic noise from the rooms and have blackouts curtain which always help.

The hotel room front doors were particularly heavy and was able to hear other guests shutting the doors throughout the day and night as made a slamming type noise. If staying for more than one night no fridge in the rooms to store cold drinks ect.

The location and car parking were just what we wanted. The staff, especially the waitresses at breakfast were very nice and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was very comfortable, we don,t like air con and would prefer the window open, which was sorted for us, everything was clean and the room refreshed with tea coffee and biscuits daily. The pillows on the bed were lovely, and the duvet, was very comfy.

Breakfast was nice, and I tried 3 different breakfasts on our 3 night stay, the full English was nice, the cherry tomatoes were gorgeous but the skin on the sausage was really tough and chewy, and a little greasy. The kippers on sourdough was nice a little too much butter on the sourdough for my liking, and the toasted salmon and cream cheese bagel was lovely. I,m sure things could be adjusted to suit on a second visit. It would have been lovely to have mackerel with a poached egg on the menu.

It was ideally located for us as it was in a street with interesting shops, restaurants etc yet just set back from the harbour and beaches. The Tilman was modern and we liked the atmosphere. The room had great facilities and was of a nice size; it was tastefully decorated. The bed was really comfortable and we slept well; the noises of the street were dealt with by the sound insulation. The bathroom was large, modern and had both a shower and a bath. Toiletries, coffee supplies etc were good quality. Breakfast was excellent with good choice and quality produce used. The staff were really helpful. We would go back like a shot and just a pity we only had one night there. We loved Barmouth too!

Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice each morning. room was very roomy and with a pleasant outlook up to the hills across the road (high up room, top floor, 3rd floor) great, be prepared though for plenty of steps as there is no lift and also guests had there own personal front door to exit and enter without having to go through the bar area, really good. Excellent staff from the bar to the breakfast in the mornings to the room service, well done., all very friendly and helpful

I can't think of anything just now to be honest

I don’t know where to start! It was our mini moon and the hotel had given us a lovely room with some treats in that made us feel special! We walked into the room and it was spotless and smelt fresh and clean! The was not a spec of dirt! It is comfortable, quirky and modern. We asked for advice where to eat and staff provided us with a number of options and where to avoid, just what you need in a new town! There is ample free parking and we were given directions to this. The bar itself has a great selection of drinks and a lovely relaxed atmosphere, we loved the music! Don’t be worried about the bar noise as we didn’t hear anything at all! The breakfast was amazing! A lovely menu with everything from overnight oats to a full fry up. All freshly made to order and nothing was too much trouble!

It was modern, clean, the extras were amazing like Molton brown shower gel. Good quality coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The staff were really friendly and helpful, made us feel welcome. The food for the breakfast was amazing including the cappuccino. Its a great location for Barmouth central and the parking was easily accessible around the corner from the hotel. They even allowed us to stay on the car park for a little longer when we asked because the hotel wasn't full that day.

The only tiny issue we had was the green emergency light above the room door inside the room was so bright that my partner and I couldn't really sleep. But we understand why it was there, and it's not the hotels fault. But next time we will bring eye masks to wear.

It was clean, centrally located, had friendly, helpful staff, breakfast was lovely, the wine we had the night before was good. The bathroom/shower was fabulous and the bed was exceptionally comfortable - nice to have white bedding, too. Having a car park just a few steps away was brilliant, too. Will definitely recommend it to others snd would be happy to stay there again.

Nothing really, apart from the fact that we were in a basic attic room - but that’s all that was left as it was a very late booking so fair enough.

This is so lovely. We would go back. The room is spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and on top of it! Breakfast is divine. And we felt very welcome. Its great access and on the high street close to everything you need.

A suggestion would be some really thick mattress toppers to add to the luxury of the room akin to other luxury boutiques. Also, fair warning that the delivery of beer kegs early mornings could wake you up but I doubt this is often.

Location good afternoon staff were great and helpful. Bar had a good vibe in the afternoon.

Evening staff were not so friendly and slightly rude. After eating out we returned to the bar for a drink at 1040pm. We ordered 2 drinks 1 of which was a cocktail. This was greeted by a look at her watch, asked her colleague was it OK, he dud an eye roll and said yes. We took our drinks to sit down when immediately the guy came over to tell us that was our last order.
