I liked the ambience and that the room which was surprisingly spacious, was part of a converted cowshed which meant walking in straight off the courtyard. Lovely dining room and great continental breakfast . Beautiful lake with boardwalk and places to sit. My husband was able to go round in his electric wheelchair which was a real bonus. Tamara, our host, does her utmost to be eco friendly so almost no use of plastic. All toiletries are in refillable bottles and are produced ethically and locally . The information pack in the room was excellent and the description on the website was accurate. It is a unique B & B with a wonderful character. Very welcoming and relaxed. Perfect for travellers who don't want to stay in a characterless hotel chain.

The television was very small, high up on the wall which made it difficult to read any information unless sitting really close. However, watching it wasn't a high priority.

it is a beautiful unique location, everything was done ethically and sustainably. The room was clean, fresh and stayed cool even in a hot night. We loved the toiletries, specially the shampoo. Tamar was an excellent host, from welcoming us when we arrived to making us feeling really relaxed as well as the excellent breakfast and fantastic suggestion of places to see locally for walks and food choices. We also got local produce from Tamar little Welsh’s dresser shop, and she offered us some of her local grown veg. We couldn’t be happier with our stay.

Like going back in time, no phone signal but there is wifi so not totally cut off. The quietness of the location is amazing, so peaceful & relaxing. Breakfast, although continental was perfect, warm pastry's, fresh cooked muffins, fruit, yoghurt & cereals. Although the owner was away, we were looked after by Alex, a lovely lady who made us feel so welcome & nothing was to much trouble for her, in fact we wanted to stay but unfortunately we had to return for work. Will even miss the wake up call from the resident cockerel & his entourage. The walls however are quite thin & you can hear next door but this was of no issue to ourselves as the peacefulness & surroundings out weighed this issue.

For 3 nights, myself and my daughter enjoyed a wonderful stay at Henllys Estate. Tamar, our host, was outstanding; from the time we made the booking I could tell that this would be an amazing holiday for us both. The room was exquisite and super clean with stunning views to match. Every morning we were welcomed by freshly baked pastries and various fruits for breakfast - delicious! Not only did we get along well with all of the family members there, but also their furry members too. We can't wait to come back here again - it's perfect for those seeking peace alongside gorgeous surroundings and warm hospitality.

Our experience at Henllys was nothing short of fantastic - there isn't one single thing that could be improved.

Amazing Breakfast! Tamar's homemade muffins were incredible and I swear I have withdrawal symptoms. Henllys was a little slice of paradise in rural Wales - Tamar and her family could not have made us feel more welcome. Everything was spotless, comfortable, and we really loved the sustainable ethos at the heart of the B&B. The grounds were beautiful and combined with the weather it just a lovely Easter weekend. Little touches such as jellybeans on our table on Easter Sunday were just so incredibly thoughtful. We will definitely be returning!

The soundproofing wasn't great and we had a particularly deep sleeper next door ;) However we had ear plugs with us and this mitigated any issues.

The location is great to explore the Brecon Beacons. The property was lovely due to being in the middle of mostly farmland. 2 miles or so from the local town. The room was big and had great storage, which was ideal for out motorcycle gear. Bed were very comfy. Breakfast was nice with lots of fresh fruit and baked goods on offer. The owner and staff very friendly and welcoming.

Although I didn't know about the gravel carpark which is hard for bikes, it doesn't take away the nice elements of staying here. There are other options for parking but with care, you can park ok on gravel. Its a quiet area.

Love returning to Henllys Estate! What is there not to like? The location is absolutely perfect. The grounds are picture perfect and are kept to a beautiful standard. The host was more than accommodating. You can make of your stay what you may. The breakfast is delicious, home made cakes and pastries and the atmosphere is home from home. The room was immaculate and had all you could ask for. The host, Tamar, went above and beyond (without trying) to ensure your stay is comfortable.

Breakfast was lovely - warm homemade muffins. Not too far from Llandovery Very cosy room and lush secluded environment - great location. Friendly host. Very comfortable beds.

Wi-Fi wasn't too great, but didn't really rely on it too much so wasn't really an issue. Can be loud as walls are thin. I know it mentioned this in the folder but perhaps it could be made a bit clearer about the quiet time hours. The people above us were very loud but that's no fault of the host and it's just one of those things.

Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Always had a good chat when we passed by. Such a peaceful area.It's so nice to slow down and relax. Henllys was the exact place needed to come back to and wind down after a busy day driving in the Welsh countryside. Breakfast was amazing. I couldn't get enough of the fresh warm muffins. And the coffee.

I'm an early riser, however black out blinds might be better in the rooms if you wanted to sleep in. No problem for me I enjoyed a coffee in the early morning in the beautiful courtyard by myself

Beautiful scenic surroundings and a wonderful view of the country side. Tamar and her family were amazing hosts making us feel very welcome. Tamar was so helpful giving us good advice and tips on where to visit and eat ect, she really did go out of her way to make sure our visit was special. It was my birthday during our stay and Tamar made a beautiful bowl of freshly cut flowers at breakfast for me with happy birthday card, which was very kind and thoughtful. There is a beautiful lake on site that is a short distance and worth going to see, sitting by it was very tranquil. There is lots to do and see within 30- 60 min drive, we went to the beach one day which took about an hour and definitely worth the trip. it’s also close to Brecon Beacons with lots to see and do and amazing waterfalls, one of which we visited and swam in.
