Our room was fantastically clean and comfortable. There was plenty of tea/coffee/milk and biscuits. Toiletries were supplied, and the bath towels were huge, and I love large bath towels, so for me, this was a huge positive. Bed was comfortable, too, and the room was bright. Plenty of storage for clothing and bags and good quality tv. Staff were friendly and welcomed us in with big smiles. Explained all we needed to know with regards to eating in the pub downstairs to breakfast timings and leaving/entering the pub during closed times. Although our room was on the roadside, beyond this, the views were beautiful to wake up to.

I am a bit of a light sleeper, so I found that I was up with the morning traffic, 6am, as the pub is located on a main road and our room was alongside it. I don't want this to be a negative, though. I should have taken my earbuds and would recommend you take some just in case you find you're a light sleep too.

Right from the star, the parking was right outside, the first meeting was very welcoming, the room was perfect in every way, all we needed, plenty of storage, plenty of hangers too! The room was lovely and clean likewise the bathroom/shower was great, the creaky floorboards just added to the charm of the room! Our evening meal was superb and the menu had plenty of choice and the following mornings breakfast was also great, with plenty of choice too. After a whole day of walking around the Brecon Four Falls you could not wish for such a nice place to come back to, it ticked every box, thankyou so much.

Linda, Andy, and all the staff were so welcoming. Lovely room with a comfy bed and a great shower. The food and service were fantastic. Spotlessly clean, and nice little touches like having plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits and milk, and toiletries in the room. I would highly recommend staying here.

There was nothing I didn't like. Parking can be a bit hit and miss because of the unique shape of the building.There is a large community centre car park just across the road which we used so this was no issue at all.

On arrival we were worried about parking as all the spaces outside were taken, however there was resident parking to the rear of the building :-). Both morning and evening meals were excellent ( fast service but we did not feel rushed and was told that the table was ours for the evening ). All the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and they were very kind and happy.

When we left on the Sunday I explained to them to just keep doing what you are, these people have really got this lovely business worked out to a T and should be really proud of themselves. 10/10

We stayed for one night to do some walking in the area. The welcome in the evening was lovely and there were 3 other dogs in the bar which made us feel very welcome with our dog. Food was okay - great for meat eater, a little less so for vegetarian. The room was good - had everything we needed. Breakfast was back in the bar and restaurant (bar for us as we had the pooch) which was a bit lacking in atmosphere in the morning. The food selection was okay on the buffet, the cooked breakfast was excellent.

The biggest issue was that it was right on a main road which was quite noisy in the night, especially as we like to sleep with the window open. Would have been nice if the fire was lit in the bar for breakfast - was cold and a little lifeless in there.

We had a nice time just a few little things that could have been better. The owners were kind and friendly. Room was pleasant and enjoyed the sunshine. Kettle with tea and coffee in the room. Nice breakfast.

Would have liked a pot of tea at breakfast rather than make cup with warm water. Room was a little noisy from what we think was a fan from another room and early morning traffic noise. It was quite a step up into the shower and no handle to help steady.

Large comfortable room with a clean and tidy bathroom. We had booked a table in the restaurant which was a good thing. The place was packed, understandably because the food was excellent. Breakfast was OK. The food was good, but service was a bit chaotic with buffet items (including coffee) running out and not being replaced. The staff were lovely.

The car park at the front of the pub is tiny and was full when we arrived. We managed to park by the kerb further up the road, but this could be a problem for some people. The pub is on a main road through the village, so don't expect beautiful views, although we were lucky enough to spot a red kite (of the bird variety) flying right over us.

All of it. The owners were so lovely, I didn't get either of thier names but my, they were so personable. The woman who checked us in, did breakfast and dinners and clearly runs this place was so lovely, always smiling, checking in with us and so helpful and the Gentleman, super friendly, helpful and very sweet. Cannot wait to come back. The rooms were warm, welcoming, clean and cosy. The food was delicious! Absolutely delicious.

The room was clean and tidy, and the room facilities were also very good, including the very comfy bed. The breakfast was lovely and the staff friendly and welcoming. The location is very good as well with plenty to see and do in the Brecon Beacons.

Parking may become an issue if the hotel is busy. Other than that, our stay was very enjoyable.

Great restaurant with excellent food! All at a reasonable price. Room was spacious and had all facilities you would require including complimentary hair and shower gel products. Parking was accessible and the breakfast was lovely. Really nice to have a venue showcasing Welsh products. Lovely staff too, really accommodating with a chilled atmosphere!

Nothing to not like. The only things we could think of improvement are possibly some new pillows and due to the current weather, accessible fan in the room. Apart from that everything was great :)
