I stay here often when working in London. It’s a great location, always clean and the reception staff are brilliant. Plus the building has so much history in it- a unique place to stay!

Minor gripe, but the lift off reception is unpredictable. But a good excuse to use the stairs!

The room was very comfortable and clean and welcoming for weary travelers. Great view from the room and great location. The spa and gym are a great bonus. Bathtub with a tv screen? 😃 check-in was very smooth and professional.

Small improvements: shower temperature is a bit complicated to get right. The sauna could be warmer and the stream room was sadly out of order. Breakfast is nothing to write home about: artificial fruit juice, burnt coffee, dry tasteless fruits.

The staff here were warm & welcoming absolutely amazing customer service experience. Absolutely brilliant venue with huge original historic features. Lots on offer from a private bowling alley & cinema as well as a swimming pool, sauna & spa treatments. The jail house bar was enjoyable steeped in history it is the perfect place in Old Street for Cocktails.

The water in shower was lukewarm never got hot. Breakfast is over priced it should be included with every room booking being a 5⭐️ hotel & the room charges. Dark decor in rooms shows every water or finger mark tv was grimy & shelves in bathroom were water marked.

the room was lovely, big and spacious.

tvs not working especially in the bathroom, spa pool was freezing cold and the steam room was out of service. and no restaurant for dinner.

Stunning building, lovely staff who went out of their way to assist us

Unfortunately booking.com gives you room options for the hotel that you won’t actually get… therefore there is no point paying more to book the ‘Magistrate King’ within the original part of the hotel as it won’t be available, you will be put in a standard room in the new section. The staff did their best to assist when I pointed out we hadn’t been given the room we booked and did upgrade us to a bigger room in the modern part of the hotel, but the booking system between booking.com and the hotel is clearly flawed.

room was brilliant. we upgraded to a suite for our anniversary and the room was superb.

check in and check out both far too long winded. 3 staff on check in and we had to wait as only 1 would check people in!?

The room was modern, clean and comfortable - pur room was huge! There were toiletries available such as body wash etc. The room was warm too. Sky TV was ready to watch on the TV. The bed was comfortable and there was lots of space to keep clothes. The decor is lovely across the whole hotel. The main entrance is stunning and I love the fact that the hotel used to be an old magistrates court and police station, I am a bit of a history geek so looked into that! The swimming pool and spa area is stunning. I went for a swim at 7.30am and was pleased to find the pool and sauna empty. The pool has a waterfall feature and it's just beautiful in general.

There isn't really anything to comment on in this section, but if I HAD to pick something to improve maybe to add a window privacy sticker/frosted glass to room 513 as it is directly opposite the rooftop bar. This isn't something that bothers me personally, but I could image some people might have an issue with that if they were getting changed and people on the rooftop can look straight in.

the location worked well for me and the room was grt.

Had a great stay at the hotel with my husband, daughter, and her partner with our 2 young grandchildren. We enjoyed the facilities in the hotel, especially the swimming pool and sauna, it was an added bonus. The rooms were large ,clean, and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, I would especially like to praise the concierge/porter who was on duty both days helping with our parking ,all our bags taken to our room and there were a few. Was very attentive and pleasant every time we saw him. The location was great for attractions, restaurants, and bars day an night. I would highly recommend a stay at the courthouse hotel.

There was nothing to dislike.
