Room: Small but modern - desk, power points, tea/coffee/biscuits, comfy bed, bathtub/shower, no view as on ground floor. Location: Very central (WC1) for museums/galleries - 4 tube stations within 10 min walk - nice quiet safe residential street.

Breakfast: Very expensive (£19/continental, £24/english) so didn't bother - when all you want is a cup of tea (in the rooms) and a slice of toast/croissant who is going to pay that much ! There are plenty of local bakery/coffee shops around.

The room was huge and airy, beds were large and comfortable with two pillows each, which is always a bonus not having to ask for an extra. The location is amazing, just around the corner from the British Museum and only 10 mins walk from most theatres and Covent Garden area.

The breakfast was a very basic continental with cheap filter coffee, but even with that, it was a bargain compared to most other hotels in the area.

The room was really large for a London hotel room. Although dated, the décor showed a thoughtful use of space. We didn't mind being on the ground floor since we had see-through privacy curtains. In fact, we liked the fact that our room was very close to the hotel entrance. We booked a room with breakfast and were told that only continental breakfasts were included with rooms, but as it turned out, the continental breakfast had variety, the "extra" porridge was instant (so we didn't want it anyway), and the hotel allowed us to order toast since we don't eat meat or pastries. We appreciated the flexibility. The location was terrific -- a quiet street within walking distance to the British Museum (easy) and the West End (if you're not disabled). Also not too far from the Underground. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

The bed, though very large, was firmer than we like. But we realize that people have different preferences when it comes to mattresses.

Excellent hotel, friendly staff and lovely room and comfortable beds. This is my second stay and will be staying again next year Liked the provision of iced filtered water in glass bottles whenever we asked for it and we definitely needed it in 28 degree heat in London

Only a minor issue: but both this year and last year when I have stayed there have been questions about breakfast. Both years when going down for breakfast the breakfast was only showing as being included for one room out of the two and every morning (3 mornings) we were questioned by hotel staff who said breakfast was £19.99 to add to the other room. We did inform each member of staff that we had breakfast included and no more questions were asked until the next morning when we were questioned again by another member of staff. There needs to be more clarity/communication between booking.com and the hotel in regards to this.

The room was a great size for four adults. Plenty of room. Clean and comfortable and we appreciated the toiletries that were left and the coffee/tea centre. It had a great view of the back garden and I really enjoyed watching small foxes romping around early in the morning! We really enjoyed our stay. We were able to leave our luggage on the last day so that we could do a little more sightseeing before moving on to our next destination. We really appreciated this service and were pleased about the fact that they kept our luggage in a secure space. The staff were very accommodating, even lending out umbrellas as it did nothing but rain!

Nice sized room and the bathroom was also a good size. Very clean, and included a tray with electric kettle and cups, tea bags, coffee etc. Sunny breakfast room, nice cooked breakfast and lovely buffet on offer. The room was blessedly quiet even though the hotel is within a 15 min walk of the hopping theater district with all its restaurants and pubs and cafes. We saw a wonderful play at the Noel Coward Theater one night and walked back to the hotel after the show feeling very safe. Very communicative and welcoming young lady at the front desk. Convenient to the St. Pancras International Station where we caught the Eurostar to Paris quite early on our last morning in London.

Nothing not to like. All in all, a nice clean quiet convenient London hotel, well furnished and well run.

The room was roomy enough for 4 adults and the bathroom facilities were clean and working well. Location was the best part about it as it was close to shops, and restaurants and most importantly, the underground was only a 10-minute walk to the Piccadilly Line.

On the first night, there was rain, which at times was heavy, so heavy the rain got into the building and we could hear dripping in the ceiling. The fellow at the desk was very responsive and came to our room quickly with a bucket and towels, fortunately, it wasn't a mess. There was water dripping from a light fixture above my open suitcase but nothing bad happened. The most interesting response from this fellow, and from another at the desk in the morning was, "oh it's only rainwater"??? My guess is, rainwater isn't an unusual thing to occur on the inside of a home/hotel in England

The location of the hotel in Central London is excellent, within walking distance or a short tube ride of all attractions. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean as was the ensuite. Everything worked.

We have nothing to criticise from our stay.

Location within walking distance to places where we are interested in as well as the parks nearby.

Don’t like that the shower being in the long bath. Rather just have a shower cubicle. It’s unsafe for seniors having to climb in as it’s slippery and may cause a fall. The receptionist on our check in doesn’t have a smile and warm face.
