The President Hotel is a wonderful hotel, with a clean and spacious entrance. The hotel is listed as a 3*** hotel - though elsewhere as a 4***. I was afraid it would be 'nothing', but I'm very pleasantly surprised. It has definitely a 4**** quality. The staff is very customer friendly and helpful. The room is more than I expected: spacious enough, a good bed and a complete bathroom with bathtub. There is also a coffee/tea maker in the room and a very large flat screen TV on the wall. It is a large hotel, so at the - excellent - breakfast there are quite a few other visitors walking around. There is also a bar and a restaurant. The hotel is within a 5' walking distance of Russell Square Underground Station (Piccadilly Line) and therefore very easily accessible. I warmly recommend this hotel.

No drinkware in the bathroom.

The hotel is very well situated and has some wonderful features. A few short steps to the Russell Square station of the Piccadilly Line. WARNING: for some reason, the lifts go only halfway down from the street -- and the rest is two flights of steps -- so don't plan on an easy roll if you are with lots of luggage or wheelchair or stroll. My room was fine and faced the Guilford Street, so interest views, etc. It was clean and the floor staff were very sweet and accommodating. The bed was old and I could feel the springs when I sat down hard, but I was able to sleep well. The TV had excellent quality, but few channels. The bathroom was clean, pretty modern with good supplies of toiletries. There wasn't much of a restaurant restaurant -- only early breakfast. The bar was large and comfortable but not enough to have a meal if I was hungry. My friend's room, on the other hand, was changed twice -- the first room due to bad body odor and I don't remember why the second time -- maybe it was too small or faced an alleyway. Nearby, I came to really enjoy the pub named A Friend at Hand. (Photo below.) Wonderful crowd, good people, and excellent selection of beverages that I enjoy I would stay at the President again but be certain to check the rooms before I okay the assignment. Many busses around the corner to travel all around London. About a 15-minute easy walk to Kings Cross and San Pancras which I did with my two suitcases. (Photo below.)

The mattress and that some of the rooms were not so clean. That there wasn't food closer to hand. I'm not an early bird so their breakfast was of no use to me.

Great location with tube around the corner and within walking distance of Oxford Street. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is located, in walking distance of many attractions and very near a tube station on the Piccadilly Line. A reliable left luggage service is available with a ticket system and the rooms are clean and have all you would expect from an economy hotel.

Our room wasn't available when we checked in so we were put in a much smaller room for the night having to vacate and switch the next day. The bathroom door in our final room was too big for the frame and thus only closed/opened with considerable effort. The rooms and showers are on the smaller side, which could be a problem for larger people.

We have stayed at this hotel several times now and it is clean and tidy. The rooms have everything in them that you need. The location is good for getting to the tube and the hotel is very good value for money. The breakfast is lovely and always fresh and hot. I love the decor of the bar, it's really nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful and we will stay there again as we now what we will get and it's very good compared with others that we have stayed at in London.

The rooms are a bit on the small side but that is to be expected with the price of the hotel so it isn't a major issue. They have everything in them that you need. The shower was a little bit crazy and managed to spray the whole bathroom so it was soaking wet - hopefully someone will have fixed it by our next visit :-)

Booked this hotel for the provision of twin beds and its location. Good transport and close to Russel Square Gardend and tube. A competent well run large London hotel. Comfy beds and crisp fresh sheets. Hats of to the Breakfast staff who did a great job of smoothly accommodating a large and variety of guest very quickly to their table. Good breakfast choices and good coffee.

As others have observed.. shower ..woa!!! Watch that high water pressure makes it a power shower. Also stuffy, not helped by bathroom extract not operating..but hey London on one of the hottest days of the year. Answer just lay in a cool bath!

Breakfast was a good variety, and was very happy with the overall options. Choices included a full english cooked breakfast, Danish pastries , cereals and well as fresh fruit. The room although small, was very clean and comfortable and the bathroom itself was the same . The shower was a pleasant surprise as to how powerful it was and left me feeling refreshed.

The room itself was quite hot, and was on the 5th floor, we opened the window's to let air in but we had a continuous noise, unsure whether it was from chimneys of the hotel itself which went on for most of our stay. Although to begin with annoying, we got used to the sound and didn't let in impact of our stay and have had a lovely time.

Breakfast was very good with lots of staff offering help and advice. The location was good with many transport opportunities close by and quite a lot of venues within walking distance. a huge bonus for us was the car parking underneath the hotel. Although we had pre-paid our parking, on arrival we had a very pleasant chat with the car park attendant as he showed us the best way to take our luggage to the Reception Desk.

Room was a bit small but we only slept in it so no great problem. However, room was very hot and the windows could not be opened. When we reported this, a fan was supplied and a maintenance man soon arrived and unlocked the windows which made the temperature fine. Could do with a larger seating area near Reception, especially for when the bar is closed.

The hotel has a nice location near a lot of bars, restaurants, and sights (within walking range are the British Museum, Covent Garden, many very old British pubs). Staff was very friendly and helpful (they were able to check us in nearly six hours early, which we really appreciated after a long flight). Lobby and common areas were very nice. The room itself was decent, with a comfortable bed, a nice view, and a serviceable bathroom.

Compared to the common areas, the rooms themselves do seem like they could use a face lift. The bed was comfy, and we slept well, but it wasn't the most amazing hotel bed ever.

Perfect location. 2 min to the underground, parks, supermarket, restaurants, British museum. Great staff,very clean hotel, tasty breakfast with plenty of choice. We had 2 renovated large rooms with new bathrooms and with amazing view on Russel Square park . There was a problem with our flight back and staff made everything to help : found 2 rooms for one more night and even provided us with free breakfast. It was our second time in President Hotel and we will stay again with pleasure.
