Asked for the iron and fan: these were brought to my room along with the ironing board in no time. Breakfast not worth 15GBP, there are plenty food options for every taste and dietary preference just around the corner.
Didn't want the staff to clean up the room while I was staying there, asked to just change the towels at the reception. Nothing happened. Had to find the room service cart and change the towels myself.

the breakfast at the hotel was good. I like the variety of food options and the way way the hotel handled the large number of people going for breakfast at once was very efficient. The beds were comfortable, and it was nice to be able to open the window for fresh air. I appreciated that this hotel had a triple room with individual beds.
We had a room that faced the pub attached to the hotel. The room was very noisy every evening until the pub closed at midnight. There was no shelf space to put anything in the room. There was no dresser, only two small nightstands to put things. (phone, chargers, eyeglasses) There was also no clock in the room, so I needed to look at my phone for the time.

Great location, easy to get to all the sights. Rooms were compact and basic but very clean and the beds were really comfy. Handy to have bars and restaurants on site. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. 5 star service everywhere, from reception to the concierges in the foyers and all the staff in the restaurants.
The only downside was that our room had the option to be connected to the one next to it by a door. this was obviously closed for our stay, but you could hear absolutely everything from next door: conversations, suitcases being zipped up and the alarms on their phones, which woke us up in the mornings.

conveniently located, the size of the room was adequate and all services were up to the expected standards
(a) there were young residents in groups (possibly for conventions or similar) who, overall, were loud, noisy and lacked manners. It turned out to be cumbersome to move around in the reception/foyer and open air areas immediately outside the hotel when these persons were present as they blocked passage ways and on occasions even the lifts. (b) being an elderly couple, we found it quite difficult to use the bath; its being approx. 60 centimeters from the bathroom’s finished floor level, going into and getting out of the bath was quite trying every time.

Staff was excellent and the room was good. Shower was awsome and the bed too.
I missed a little table. And it could be cleaner not that it was bad just the little details

Absolutely amazing hotel with welcoming staff, very clean rooms and excellent location. We stayed at the deluxe room which has been recently renovated - everything was new and comfortable. For those of you who are looking for an hotel with tons of facilities, you won’t find it here. But, if you want to spend your time in some fancy hotel facilities, do me a personal favor and travel to Cyprus or Greece. London has so much to offer that you’ll barely spend any time at the hotel.
There’s no air conditioning which can be unpleasant in a hot summer night. However, during our stay the weather was excellent, so the lack of air conditioning didn’t bother us.

It was our second stay in this hotel, this time in high season. All was good, I recommend the chinese restaurant around the corner (same building). The only downside of the high season stay was that you needed to "hunt" for a safe locker as they were all taken (lockers are by the lifts) - alternative is to store your valuables with the reception. Please note it is NO CASH place, we also had issues with paying with Google wallet app, but it finally worked. We stayed in triple and double rooms that we good size (for London :)), there are soaps in the bathroom and tea/coffee set in the room. The hotel is very well located and has very good brakfast. Note the this place is HUGE in terms of no. of rooms.

The hotel was nice. Its a very large hotel though, and must be fairly cheap as there were a lot of school kids staying there. I've stayed at a lot of hostels around the world, and it gave me very good hostel feels but I can't explain why. Was a great place to stay with it being a short walk to Russel Square tube station and or a short walk to the British Museum. Was even an easy walk of a morning down to the Thames.
The rooms weren't exactly sound proof, and with a lot of school kids staying there, you could hear them all easily at all hours of the night. There was also no air conditioning so we had to have the windows open and Russel Square must be a very dangerous place with the number of sirens that were going at all hours of the night.

Good base to explore from, nice rooms, good breakfast. Very pleasant city break, the staff are all very happy to help and nice to talk to. For the size of the hotel it's easy to find rooms. We had a room facing the road, which was still peaceful and comfortable.
Check-in is a bit chaotic, and the self check in service won't work if your room isn't ready forcing you to queue at the standard desk. The system was a bit strange with people choosing a queue to stand in and being seen at random based on who is available. A better system needs to be in place to funnel the guests to an available staff member
