December 2023

I needed a place to crash for the night due to the train strikes and the Mornington Camden was perfect for me as I could walk there from King's Cross in 20 minutes. The bed was comfortable, the towel was a welcome surprise, and it was really handy to have two bathrooms for the dorm considering there were 10 beds and the room was full. I still had trouble getting to the bathroom in the morning but it is what it is.

It was a bit difficult to sleep because of the nearly constant noise of trains travelling nearby all night - the hostel is very close to a tube station, but perhaps you can also hear the main line trains from King's Cross / St Pancras because I could hear the trains long after the tube should have stopped running. Ear plugs recommended. A small individual light on each bed would be a plus. Otherwise everything was good.

Bed was clean and comfy, with towel provided. As the dorm beds were on the lower floor, although it was during the heat wave the room stayed lovely and cool. The room additionally had a mirror and shared clothes rail for quickly putting up/on necessities. Plenty of bathroom facilities so there was always a shower/toilet free, including one by the common area. The outside seating area is small but cute, and a kettle is provided for teas. I was sent pre-check in so was able to leave my things quickly and get on with my day.

As the dorm room is on the lowest floor, due to being (conveniently) next to the underground station, the sound as the trains approach and depart is quite loud. I would recommend some form of earplug for lighter sleepers.

I've stayed here before on several occasions, so I know it is a safe place to stay. Also asked for a lower bunk due to back pain, and I was given bed 6, on lower bunk, which helped too.

Staff was super friendly, helpful and let you store luggage before and after check in times.

I was under the impression the entire hostel was for ladies only and that is not the case. The room/bathroom area was, but the living room area and courtyard are shared with males as well. Not a big deal, only that I was on making a tea on my pijamas when 2 men arrived and I was a bit surprised. Just wished I was told, that’s all.

Total 10 beds in my room, 2 bathrooms and 1 toilet. Even full house, I have no problems to queue for my showers. Bathroom is clean and provides shower gel and shampoo. However, lights will come off if shower takes a long time! Location is convenient and just next to Tube exit.

Would prefer to have more shelves or hangers next to bed or in bathroom for putting things around.

This hostel stay was way beyond my expectations. 2 washrooms, towels provided, clean bed, coffee teas lounge area, lovely backside porch with Garden Area, right near to MorningTon Crescent Undergroud and steps down to MorningTon Crescent Bus Stop. Outstanding. And trust me the Hostel owner or co-ordination is such a sweetheart and well behaved.

Everything stated above. Will be my home in London whenever I travel

Very friendly service with easy check-in and out. Nothing too much trouble. The room was spotless, as were the bathrooms. Very good value for money. We could hear the tube but it didn't disturb us at all

It didn't bother us at all but I feel it should be made more clear that the female only hostel is a room in a hotel which is used by males, as are the shared facilities advertised with the hostel. It didn't affect our stay at all but just feel that for some people this could be an issue as it is clearly advertised as a female only hostel.

Check in was ivery simple. I didn't see or speak to anyone but it was arranged via text. It was secure with a key pad entry at the front door and access cards to the dorm and bathroom, wich are both within the same secure area. The ladies in my dorm were quiet and I had a good sleep. It was still pretty clean, even after multiple people using the same space for a day. Though a deep clean would be due soon I think. Location was excellent. A 20min walk to Tottenham Court Road area

I'm used to this and I take earplugs whoever I go in London. To warn other trailers: it's London, there s a lot of noise from the underground Fellow dorm users... you might consider having a headtorch or using a small light, rather than switching on the main kight for the room at 2330. Bunk beds are a bit squeaky.

- location (less than 30 seconds to the mornington camden station + Bus stops nearby) - polite staff - water and tea are provided in lounge - lounge is a good place to get work done at night - there is a small patio next to the lounge that continues downstairs to the all female dorm - two usb ports, an outlet, and night light per bed - female only room is spacious (fits 10 people, 5 sets of bunk beds but doesn't seem cramped) - made a request for lower bunk and was granted - old towels are exchanged for new ones if requested - bunks are fairly quiet - beds are clean and comfortable - small shampoo & conditioner tubes are provided and there's always extra toilet paper - 2 bathrooms with showers available for all female dorm and an extra restroom in the hallway (all were clean) - the hostel stores luggage in advance if you ask without a fee

- the mornington camden sign is so small it's easy to miss when you first visit (Look for "The Hudson" sign instead, which is easy to find) - stayed for 3 nights, but was told to move beds twice during the stay. Still don't quite understand why. Everyday a list with bed assignments are written outside the door. - the room is large but there aren't lockers to keep backpacks or suitcases. (Just bins to put things under the bed) - small lockers are provided in the hallway but can only fit in a purse/documents - can hear the tube passing by constantly (not good for light sleepers) - the last night I stayed there were ants in the bathroom - it would be nice if the foot towels in the bathroom are exchanged daily

Beds very comfortable and cosy bathrooms

The black door was not easy to open, instructions not very clear on how to do it. Tried to call their phone number several times because I was stressing bc I thought I couldn’t get in, they never picked up. There’s lockers but you need a key to use them, you can’t use your own padlock, I found out about that only after buying a new padlock that I couldn’t use. No reception which makes all of this very difficult, if there’s a problem your only way to get “help” would be messaging them on booking
