Location

I thought the girls on reception were not attentive enough when booking me in, they seemed to be worried about what was going on in the lobby than checking me in. Also the parking, I asked could I park downstairs and she said you can but there might not be a space, she didn’t offer me any information of where else I could park

Great location, great pool, rooms are big.

We waited at least 30 minutes to be served lunch once ordering (no warning it would be this long, there weren’t many in). The rule about having to buy a £2.50 swim cap seems antiquated. They can’t explain the benefit of the cap. The mattress and bathroom needed upgraded. The duvet was thin and bed uncomfortable but it was roasting in the room so duvet at least was ok. Window difficult to open and close. Hotel needs upgrading, but they are lovely people working there.

Lovely friendly staff and the service was lovely , Lovely welcoming at the reception went checking . The restaurant staff were friendly

I didn't like the next morning for breakfast, the breakfast was cold and there was cup or mugs and both coffee machines need attention and went asked staff member to look at the machine he said he get someone to look at it but no one came back out to look at it, and I was standing there for about 10 to 15 minutes before lovely girl came asked was everything OK and got the coffee machine working , Some of the breakfast staff need some training in customer relationship

Location was great for town centre and facilities in the hotel we very good and rooms we clean and warm.

Breakfast wasn't great if you went down a little later about 30-45 mins before the restaurant closed as it looked like the food had been there from when it had open food was low in quantity and just looked like it had been here for a while not very appetising, also found very slow service in lobby as we order food and drinks and waited over 25mins and then had to ask another server who then went to see where the food and drink was she then brought the drinks and apologised for the wait and a short time later the food arrived.

The staff were amazing, friendly helpful giving us a warm welcome. The location is as central as it gets with shops and a supermarket nearby. A short walk takes you to the city centre. The views over the water are lovely. We didn't use the pool, so I can't comment. The room, I felt, although comfortable, warm, and spotless, certainly didn't warrant the extra cost. It lacked any elements of luxury and felt sparce.. The snacks in the fridge were welcome, 2 cans of fizzy drinks, two bottles of water, and two mini kitkats. The coffee tray offered a basic coffee and a pack of bourbon biscuits.

The bellhop was a lovely welcoming man, he assured us from the minute we arrived that we where in good hands and where going to have a pleasant experience. He greeted us in the carpark and had a luggage trolley at the ready to take our bags to our room. He was very good with our 5 year old daughter and even let her know the secret rule about the swimming pool. (She had to sing baby shark song) in doing so he gave her a bag of haribo which to a 5 year old is a million pound. From that first encounter it set our minds at ease as we knew we where going to have a great experience

If anything that you had to wear a swimming cap in the pool

I'm not sure how it came about, but I was upgraded to one of the 7th floor suites. It was pure bliss! Spa bath which I used to release the tension of the day away. Nice touch of some chocolates to nibble on. Bed was very comfortable and as I had a corner suite, the views over the river were fabulous. Check in was simple and they accommodated me at the restaurant for dinner even though I didn't have a booking, advising me to get in before the tour groups arrived for dinner and the kitchen would get very busy. Food was very good as was the wine selection.

Clearer instructions on their website for how to access car parking in the adjacent multi-storey carpark and connection to hotel. I thought in the suite there would be a minibar, though room service was fairly quick!

Great hotel in the center of Derry. We didn't need to get a taxi as you can easily walk to most parts of the city. Perfect for a weekend stay. Underground parking available as well which is a bonus. Will stay again.

check in at 3pm and check out at 11am. We were hoping to go for a swim but weren't allowed use the facilities after check out. We requested late check out until 1pm but it was 10 quid per hour. 11am seems like a very early check out when check in is 3pm
