Great location and the room was lovely and well appointed. We walked to most of the attractions. The staff on reception were very helpful and approachable. Breakfast staff were always happy and helpful. The food was good and their porridge was top level. We loved being able to open out windows throughout the day.

We accept that being so close to the city can be noisy, so always take ear plugs. There was also two windows that we had closed at night. However the bass booming from the nightclub down the road managed to pierce the earplug option, along with one car deciding to rev quite loudly outside the hotel. Many patrons were talking, laughing and occasionally jovial screaming. This is just people having fun, but when you are trying to sleep, it can be an irritant. We did manage to go to sleep eventually. Having breakfast offered at a later time, often helps us to make up the lost sleep. If this is not an option for some, it could prove to be a deterrent to booking there.

The location within the walled city is excellent. The staff were amazing and the room price reasonable. The hotel is within walking distance from the bus station if you take the bus from Dublin and have luggage. You can also easily walk 20 minutes to the railway station to take a train to the Giant Causeway area (via Coastal Rambler). The NI Tourist information center near the hotel (and guild center) is wonderful with tourist information including taking public transport to sights!

Nothing but breakfast was OK - smoked salmon would have been a nice addition.

When we arrived, we were unable to enter the city walls to reach our Hotel as there was a commerative march during that time. Not a major proble, we left our car in a car park and wandered up to the Hotel to check in and have a cup of coffee. An hour or so later we collected the car and our suitcases. The hotel car park was full but there is another car park two minutes away just outside the city walls. Our room was comfortable, quiet and very clean. Dinner was superb as was breakfast the following morning. The Hotel must hang on to their Chef for his food preparation was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the dining eperience.

Location and service were brilliant. Even though it was busy city centre and there were functions on in the hotel on both nights of our stay the rooms were quiet. The selection of food at the breakfast buffet was excellent.

There was a musty smell in one of the rooms which we did report to reception and although they checked it out were unable to fix. It didn't ruin our trip though. At the breakfast buffet, the utenstils at the hot table were not clearly labelled - I witnessed a guest using a single pair of tongs for every item. Unless a guest has or knows someone with food allergies or intolerances they wouldn't understand how potentially dangerous cross-contamination would be. As soon as I mentioned it to the server at the host stand however they immediately replaced all of them.

We liked how central the hotel was to tourist attractions, and the bed was comfortable, and the shower/bath was excellent.

We didn't like on the way up coming from the South of Ireland, the hotel rang us and when I tried to answer, the phone call wouldn't connect as due to connection/signal problems and the phone call ended, and then 1 minute later I had a notification came through to my phone that the hotel had taken the money before I had got there as it stated when I booked I could pay at property. When I got there the receptionist reason is they said they tried ring us but we didn't answer.

Great value for money! The location is perfect. Just inside the walled city itself, just outside the Bogside. Derry is well worth visiting! Make sure to take a walking tour or two with www.bogsidehistorytours.com and/or www.derryguidedtours.com. Both great! Really likeable personal guides! Really know their facts! You'll fall in love with Derry and its people!

The hotel (especially room and corridors) had a bit of a has-been business feel about it (ancient coffee stains on '90s carpets, etc.) but nothing actually wrong with it. Great value for money. Spacious comfey room and bed. Nice clean facilities.

Lovely hotel. Right at the centre of everything. Facilities were great. There was a free underground car park with limited spaces and it saved me a ton on parking charges. The food was great. Breakfast selection, very comprehensive. Staff are fully attentive.

The air conditioning in the restaurant/breakfast room was on COLD all the time. I asked if this could be switched off. It was switched off, but then came back on again 15 minutes later. So, cold seems to be the default for this restaurant.

Stayed in Maldron Derry for our wedding anniversary and attended Arrival in the Millinium forum. Excellent location. Staff very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Lovely comfortable bed in a fine big bedroom. Nice touch cartons of water in room. When we came back from show bar in hotel closed but as we were resident we still got a drink Tea coffee kettle in room. We asked for few more milks and we were given a jug of milk. Breakfast in morning very good. I asked for egg well done no problem. All staff greated us with a smile. Only thing I regret is we only had one night will have to come back again

The location right in centre of Derry and beside both main shopping centres, was perfect for our trip to the Millenium Forum being only a 3 minute walk away although it is up a bit of a hill but well lit up at night . The staff throughout hotel were very pleasant . The Maldron beds were comfortable . The room we had ,shower was over the bath and was powerful and warm . Tea ,coffee making facilities ,herbal teas and still water were all included. Breakfast was a buffet breakfast .Food was lovely . Good Value for money in a city centre hotel.

There was nothing that I didn't enjoy while staying at the Maldron Derry City Centre

The hotel was spotless, and access was exceptional. The on-site car parking was a great bonus in a city setting. Location wise, we were in the centre of Derry City and close to all the tourist sites we wanted to visit. The reception staff were very welcoming and friendly. We were placed in adjacent rooms, which was so thoughtful. Rooms were well equipped and clean. We were also at the front of the building. While the view wasn't the greatest (given that we were in the centre of the city), we still had a view. Our only dining experience in the hotel was breakfast, which again was great. One of our party has gluten intolerance, and that was catered for with no fuss. Check out was again effortless. The entire experience for us was warm and welcoming. And Derry City was exactly the same vibe everywhere we went.
