Lovely location out in the country, quiet and peaceful! Loved the little touches like biscuits and coffee in our room with the kettle, the wonderful greeting on arrival by Stuart & recommendation for dinner (Cosh bar was so good we went back again!), and of course the fabulous fry-up for brekkie made by Margaret & John (potato fry bread & rashers were my fav!). Hosts were so wonderful, on our whole trip this was our favourite stay! Everything was considered - beds were perfectly firm & comfortable, and so huge we had to roll around a few times to cuddle! Due to their centralized heating everything was warm, towel racks toasty, and pillows dreamy soft. Water pressure was good and water temp was warm too. Will be delighted to stay here again next time we’re in Derry :) Also the option to use the outdoor sauna/hot tub was a cool one!

Very few things could be improved! I think that it would be useful for ppl to know how the heating works and that it’s ok to open your windows wide to cool off - we were roasting the first night because we were afraid to waste heat! But the cool breeze was so refreshing our second night and that was definitely my most comfortable sleep. We were also on a tight budget with pensioner parents so couldn’t afford the £40 for all of us to use the sauna/hot tub for an hour, but I’d love to give it a go on another visit when we have a bit more cash to flash :)

Very pleasant stay here, excellent private parking in the grounds of what was I would imagine, a Victorian Mansion back in the day. I stayed in a very well-kitted out room on the ground floor, all the amenities needed plus basic requirements. Super breakfast, friendly owners, the room and breakfast room were spotless, and a lot of choice for breakfast too. The room I stayed in I make particular reference to the fact it had been properly cleaned, serviced and prepared prior to arrival, unlike some other similar B&B places elsewhere I have stayed at.

Nothing at all. I enjoyed my short stay here and would recommend it to anyone.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The grounds are very pretty and peaceful.

The bathroom situation was a bit inconvenient. There are no towel racks, and there is simply a shower curtain that separates the shower from the rest of the bathroom that allows the floor to get wet. There is also a fan in the bathroom that turns on when the light is turned on that is very loud.

We loved our stay at groarty house. We had a lovely welcome from Stuart who also gave us great advice about the £6 walking tour around Derry city and also about best location for parking in Derry town (William st). The location of the property is fantastic, approx 5mins drive from Derry. The house is lovely and warm all the time and spotlessly clean. We loved staying here. The full Irish breakfast each morning was a lovely addition to our stay!

Staff was lovely. The full Irish breakfast was wonderful. Often chatted with other guests during breakfast and all were kind. Showers were very warm and wifi was solid. Location was perfect if you have a car. A quick 10 minute drive to the Derry Walls/Guildhouse/River area.

It is definitely among farmland, so be prepared for a smell when the wind shifts, but the view is beautiful.

The location was fantastic for us as it was quiet, peaceful countryside. The road that led to it was quiet also and yet close enough to Londonderry to nip into town and get what we needed. The couple running the place let us put our motorcycles in the garage to keep them safe and when my friend had a flat battery they even let us charge it up, which was more than they had to. The rooms was tidied each day when we were out, the breakfast was great. The couple are very hospitable and go to length to make your stay enjoyable. I would certainly stay there again if I ever get the chance to go back. Great value for money, service with a smile and far enough from the hustle and bustle of the town to relax.

Nothing comes to mind

The host gave us a choice of start time for breakfast. The breakfast was good and variety. The room was a nice space with lots of windows. Margaret was a great host and very helpful and friendly. We loved the nice touch with a visitors fridge to store our traveling perishables. The room was a good size, comfortable and clean.

This is an out of this world B&B run by John and Margret who from the very first meeting really made me feel welcome and at home, happy for me to have an early breakfast so could get up to Belfast to catch boat home on last day. The room was very spacious with a very large comfortable bed and en suite, location is prefect and has great views a short drive into city. Would highly recommend a stay at a true Shangri-Lai. A good base for exploring Causeway Coastal Route. Will be back again on my next visit. Thanks Margaret and John for a very memorable trip.
