Chalet style rooms, very well equipped with everything you need. Bonus for a iron and ironing board in every Chalet. Beds very comfortable and rooms clean.

Breakfast service was a bit all over the place. No plates, glasses etc. All juices had run out and not topped up unless you asked. When I booked the room I paid for a twin room with 2 occupancy with breakfast, however when we went for breakfast they said I had only paid for 1 breakfast. When booking it does give any options to book less than the number staying in the room. They did however honour what I paid and gave us the 2 breakfasts. Not sure if it's a fault on the booking.com website

Easy to get to, motel type layout so I could park the bike outside the room with the bonus of being in a courtyard so extra secure, comfy bed, nice hot shower and the room even had USB charge points. It’s part of a “Hungry Horse” pub, so food readily available. Food was what I would call good quality pub food, there are daily deals and portions are big. Room was nice and clean and good sized bathroom.

Nothing to really complain about, decor wasn’t perfect I suppose. Site was next to a truck stop so there was a little bit of noise but nothing that interrupted sleep.

Excellent location , certainly for where my local work site is located ... two minutes away !, A "quirky" accommodation setup. There's a selection of holiday style 'chalets' and rooms in an accommodation block. I've only experienced the chalets and they really are great! Breakfast and evening meals are served in the inn, and are more than satisfying. Theres a massive selection of evening meals!

Nothing really for me. I know some people moan about the truck park, but the ingress / egress on that has been redesigned and really doesn't impact the accommodation.

This was the third time we had stayed Charnwood over the last few months as it was very convenient for visiting family in Coalville. On the previous two visits we had slight unforeseen problems, firstly we had booked elsewhere, and the other hotel had rearrange our stay with the Charnwood due to their own problems, but woke up in the morning to fine that there was no water at the Charnwood due to a local burst main. Second time, we had a problem accessing my daughters room, and the room had to be broken in to to gain access, and my daughter was immediately found another room, again nearer to ourselves. Both unforeseen problems dealt with by the excellent staff. Third time lucky, no problems.

It is located on a very busy site, truck stop facilities. Although the chalets are away from the restaurant and other facilities, and although I don't know what accommodation they have for families with young children, I wouldn't have thought that being a busy site, it would be great for youngsters which would be a pity.

Resturant is a Happy Eater Chain so the value and prices are very good. This resturant was very busy so it can be very hard to get a table and service on some evenings. Car parking for may rooms is directly outside the rooms that are all like seperate chalets. The are ideal and perfect.

Check in staff could have let the guests know when the bext time for resturant use would be and / or make reservations for the hotel guests at the resturant

The Charnwood Arms is a pub with accommodation, with good access to the MI and other major roads in the area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There is free parking at the rooms. The room was all I needed, a comfortable bed, place to work, and en-suite bathroom. Food in the evening was good and exceptional value compared to other places I have been staying at since covid 19 restrictions were lifted. Breakfast from 07.00am, with good breakfast.

The wifi in the room kept dropping out.

Rooms were spacious and clean and newly decorated. Beds were big and really comfy. They had an iron and ironing board, hair dryer and tea & coffee making facilities. All perfect, as we stayed for a family wedding. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Food service was great and food arrived promptly. Lots of food choice, great breakfasts.

The floors in the bar/restaurant were very sticky!? Our taxi booking was not done (just a mix up) but a male member of staff was not very helpful about sorting it out as he was 'on his own' Location is great from a getting there, finding it and getting about point of view. It is situated at a truck stop so first impressions are not great, but it was happily not noisy and workers using the facilities were polite, quiet and well behaved.

This is my second stay at the Charnwood Arms. In the same room, I am more than happy with the room and location. Everything you need for an overnight stay. Nice and quiet, clean and spacious.

Reception is within the restaurant, which was extremely busy. We found ourselves having to wait for the receptionist, and when she arrived, I felt she was talking at us rather than making us feel welcome and apologising for our wait.

The staff were friendly and helpful even when very busy, they didnt over do the service by continually bombarding us with information we did not need. Just a pleasantry now and then to make sure we had everything we needed.

unfortunately the location has now become a very busy hub for trafffic with many HGV's and cars so at times the vehicle noise can be very loud .

basic but had everything you needed. kettle, tea/coffee,tv, iron/ironing board, hairdryer. nice shower and clean. didn’t opt for breakfast when booking but you can still have a breakfast and pay at the time as it is in a pub attached to the accommodation. there are also cheaper options for continental/smaller breakfasts. accommodation is separate from the pub so there is no noise disruption
