2 big swimming pools and well kept. Very good sauna. Reception, maids and leisure staff very nice and professional. Lovely big bed. Very beautiful place. Lots of choice at breakfast and tasted good. Spinner for swimming costumes in changing rooms is very useful. Bottled water in the room was nice. Only 1 robe in the room, but useful. Lovely toiletries in the room.

The restaurant staff and breakfast manager needs more training. Gave the impression they did not want to be there! The room wasn't as clean as I would have expected, hairs on the mat by the door. 2 of the lower walls either needed a good scrub or a lick of paint. The restaurant was expensive. The changing rooms was unnecessarily hot, getting changed was awful. Did not like the interconnecting doors.

Very helpful staff who were still attentive and cheerful even though they had recently completed a large wedding. The reception team took note of our request for adjoining rooms which is often missed in other hotels. The adjoining chalet bedrooms worked brilliantly for us with my elderly mother and she felt cared for by this small attention. The location is beautiful with the solent estuary visible from the hotel. Breakfast was very pleasant, both in terms of the food and the light and airy breakfast room.

Dinner was a little unimaginative with the same sauces used across multiple types of fish but it all tasted pretty good.

Room was superb. Bed comfortable. Breakfast really good. Staff generally helpful and accommodating. Grounds nice for a stroll with interesting views. We did not use facilities of spa etc.

We were disappointed with the restaurant. The price seemed very high and the meal lacked some of the ingredients listed. The wine appeared very ‘thin’ and inferior for the inflated price. On collecting our take away pizza the second night we were aware of a male waiter berating a female member of staff which was most inappropriate in front of guests regardless of the situation.

We booked specifically for the fun facilities. We played pitch and put overlooking the Solent, walked the grounds, looked enviously at the outdoor pool but the weather was too poor to use it, used the indoor pool and had great fun. Our room was in the adjacent block to the manor house and we loved the balcony and big windows.

Hard to comment as for the price it was all great. Yes its a bit tired but we didn’t pay a high price for all the facilities and breakfast included. If you want to book tick breakfast included filter and you get a very good price over paying extra at the Hotel for Breakfast.

Lukewarm breakfast, cold plates, terrible coffee No fridge in the room Pigeon poo on the paths and around the pool was not always cleared Rough paving slabs around the pool - painful to walk on Uneven paths and inadequate handrails Poor communication between Booking.com and the hotel - because my mobility is limited I'd booked a ground floor room but the hotel denied all knowledge of my request and had none left. Luckily, the lovely lady Tina who helped us with our luggage could see that the stairs to the room presented a huge danger to me so she went back to reception and amazingly a ground floor room was found!

The premises were very attractive and the grounds. Was pleased to have two armchairs in the room even though it wasn't a suite. Pleasant room. The staff were top notch.

We ate in the restaurant. The celeriac starter was a big rip-off. Contained hardly anything and was £9! There weren't enough mini-milks provided in our room. I saw our breakfast order sitting on the kitchen counter but there was no-one around to bring it to us, so after a while I went and found someone. Otherwise waiters/waitresses good. We have low mobility and it was quite difficult to get from Reception to our room having to negotiate steps with a lot of heavy luggage in the rain.

Wonderful place, lovely rooms, amazing outdoor pool, really friendly staff, lovely gardens, breakfast slightly disappointing (but didn't really matter), free parking, free wifi - all in all great place!

It was fine but not spectaular, felt a little rushed with being cleared away the minute you put your cutlery down, and a bit of a staid atmosphere (in fairness all hotel breakfasts have that atmosphere - maybe some music would be nice) - really a very small point and did not spoil anything

Dinner was lovely and a drink in the bar beforehand. What really made it special was Kim who when I asked her to take a photo of us as we had got engaged that day, really went out of our way to make us feel special. After we had finished our meal, we got back to our room and heard a knock on the door. Kim said she didn't realise we didn't have dessert and had brought a plate up especially with Congratulations written in chocolate with decoration and 4 x delicious truffles. She really went above and beyond and made us feel so special.

the gym could of been a bit bigger but wasn't a problem as we are runners and didnt use it.

Food was excellent, restaurant and bar staff were exceptional. Facilities and amenties in our room were excellent, it was comfortable, spacious and very quiet. Great to have a coffee machine and the added extras. Staff in The Solent, for breakfast were very good, always re-stocking the breakfast buffet up. The swimming pool and steam room were excellent, changing facilities were clean.

The Spa does let the hotel down a little- the treatments were extremely short, rushed and having 1 person to paint nails, is very restricting. The treatments I had whilst pleasant, were short and felt rushed and the file and polish on my feet were not really worthy for what I paid. .

The staff were very helpful. A pot of tea was given gratis as we had to wait over an hour for our room tone made up. The bathroom was an ice box all night long as they weren't expecting the room to be used!

We had to wait an hour for our room because I couldn't manage the stairs. The cooked breakfast on the first day was awful - it had been left standing. The second day was much better as it was help yourself, although we had to get up early to be the first ones in (so that it wasn't left standing again as I left most of it and I didn't want tone hungry on the second day).
