Overall very good value. Spa is lovely and room was good.

Felt that they were cost cutting on breakfast. Parts of hotel bit scruffy near back entrance. Grass would look better cut between rooms at rear. Little chances could really improve it.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, lovely breakfast with plenty of choice and freshly cooked. We had evening meals both nights and again the food was very good. Not a great deal of choice, still good. The room was clean and quiet.

I was quite disappointed with the room we had on the third floor, it was clean but very sparse and basic. the furniture was tired. The pillows could do with replacing as they were quite flat. TV reception was bad, kept breaking up. The shower was terrible, kept going cold and just a trickle of water, hard work washing shampoo out of hair! The hotel feels like it’s ready for a revamp.

The Staff especially 'Eamon' were absolutely amazing. We stayed 2 nights for our daughters wedding, on the friday night we had a family meal 11 of us and the waiter who attended us was fab, very helpful even remembered our drinks 🍸 The staff throughout the day of the wedding were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. The food was beautiful and plenty of it , but hats off to Eamon who chauffeured myself and my sister in law backwards and forwards for photographs etc as the room location was a little bit too far for us to walk. Nothing was too much for him . Would definitely recommend a stay here. Thank you Everyone 😊

The hotel was amazing, the grounds, the staff, the food, the spa. He staff couldn't do enough for you, so helpful , from checking in , getting lost! Room service, at dinner too. The spa, sauna, pool steam were so relaxing & the outside pool was amazing, looking out over the grounds, while sitting in the hot bubbling water in the cold weather was so nice.

There is still alot of work to be done to be refurbished, our room looked modernised, the bathroom wasn't, it was old-fashioned but clean. The access to the top floors would be difficult if you couldn't use stairs to get to the lift.

Beautiful old country house hotel with lovely decor. All rooms were well decorated with plenty of places to seat and admire the views. A little above our usual price range but food and bar service dinner and breakfast all were superb. Staff extremely friendly particularly the manager Chawki. Location and views over countryside plus the woodland walk were exceptional.

Very disappointed that the Spa advertised with the hotel as inclusive facilities is actually an additional payment of £60 per person per day and needs to be booked in advance as it was full on the day we arrived looking forward to swimming in the two pools advertised as hote facilities! This was not clearly shown on third party website booking.com but can only be found towards the end of the small print!!! However, I cannot thank Chawki duty manager and staff enough for their help and the complimentary service we were given to lessen our disappointment.

Amazing views and scenery, it felt very relaxing. Hotel room was clean and refurbished, big comfy bed. Was grateful for the ceiling fan as the weather was hot. The spa was amazing, outdoor pool was our favourite part, romantic sunset views from the pool.

2 of the hot tubs in the spa were boiling, would not recommend using them. £10 for a glass of wine is very expensive. There was no sauna or steam rooms (or they were out of order) Had to pay extra to use the spa (£40 per person for twilight session) I think it should be discounted for guests staying at the hotel but it was a lovely spa so we’re still happy.

The hotel is lovely, our room was well presented and had pretty much everything we needed. It’s was clean and the food was amazing. We attended a wedding and everything was spectacular.

One thing I thought could have been a bit better is there wasn’t any bottled water available. People kept advising us that you didn’t do any bottled water yet some of the other guests had it in their rooms and one lady did bring me a bottle but then others kept telling us you didn’t do it. It would make sense to make sure all staff are clear about what is available. I was really struggling to drink the tap water and it gives me really bad stomach ache.

We have never stayed here before and it exceeded my expectations. Feel this will now become our new ladies retreat. Next time we will book in to the spa. Food was lovely in the evening and breakfast was great too.

We stayed in one of the rear rooms no complaints it was just looking a little tired around the edges. But wouldn’t stop us coming back.

The room was spacious, clean, had air conditioning which was needed in the heat and good storage. Staff were friendly and helpful when needed. Breakfast is very good, served buffet style, hot and tasty with good variety. The hotel is beautiful and grounds are lovely.

Few things in room damaged...bath panel had large chip, which if I'd have caught myself on it would've caused injury. No hairdryer (for an upgraded room I had expected there would be one) and strange lamps in the room that didn't always work.

Everything staff very helpful and attentive. We needed to change rooms as the standard bedroom was to small. We were given twin beds which were very comfortable, the heating was at the right temperature. The Restaurant was very clean, staff very helpful, there was a variety food from continental to cooked breakfast.

🙂Food was very nice but a little overpriced. I think for two nights bed & breakfast, evening meal should have been included in the price.
