The hotel and rooms are in a very good location within the heart of Cheshire. There is an element of walking involved to find your room as the hotel is spread across many differing floors and corridors.

The hotel does not supply paper invoice/receipts, they email them over to you. Its been a number of days since I stayed at the hotel and I'm still waiting for the receipt to be emailed, this is despite sending them multiple emails to their reservation desk. I image I'm going to have to ring them to get this sorted? Not ideal if you are a business guest and you need the receipt for your expenses claim.

Little things really - at busy times it would be worth having more staff on reception .. just to make it a little smoother. The key cards are odd and don’t appear to work first time on both rooms we had - a short explanation to do it really slowly would save a lot of walks back and too. The meal at Barneys the pub - lovely location and lovely staff but waited a long time for food and some was cold - and the starters arrived with the mains . The spa is really great but many broken lockers - and empty soaps in the dispensers - like I say it’s small stuff but for the price and for the Champneys brand it was a little below par.

Nicely designed and tasteful decor in double room. Staff friendly and helpful. Beautiful building and well decorated throughout main areas. Attended a function in one of the rooms, food good and staff worked hard to clear tables of crockery. The spa looked new and modern.

Was concerned about staying at hotel due to reviews but was pleasantly surprised that accommodation was better than reviews stated. The only points I would raise is that as there are only 2 check in desks at reception, at peak times perhaps have them both staffed so the queue is attended to quickly. I can't comment on the price of drinks as they were provided by the host of the event but if they are as pricey as stated by previous customers perhaps reduce and revise the cost of drinks.

A beautiful location for my little sister’s hen do. We had fabulous staff who did their best on what was clearly an understaffed day. I’d like to give a special mention to Subby, Danny and Gabriella who were fantastic and went above and beyond for us.

Granted, there weren’t enough staff for a busy Saturday - and this meant a fair bit of queuing for drinks and lunch as part of our spa stay. This caused some serious outrage amongst other guests, who were visibly rude to staff at times. And it must be said that the staff who were there were absolutely excellent and deserve some credit for putting up with their first world problems.

Decor and atmosphere throughout communal areas is stylish, luxurious and unique, location and surroundings area beautiful, vegetarian food is one of few examples of a hotel that actually puts effort into their vegetarian options, staff are down to Earth and super friendly, room decor / comfort is classic and comfortable. Restaurant had a lovely Alcoceres and lots of l charming spaces around the hotel to sit and relax

Very little to dislike! At most, compared to my night before at Malmaison, I might say the bed was slightly less luxuriously comfortable but nothing more than that…no negatives from me

Beautiful location, lovely room opening up into gorgeous garden. All of the staff were really polite and helpful.

The room, albeit a big lovely old room did need some work. The bathroom was very tired and in need of renovation. It’s a big hotel so breakfast was always going to be busy but you are really packed in. We spent the entire time being slightly buffeted by the constant people walking past as we were on the edge of a walkway. To be fair the buffet was really good but you felt more like you were in an airport than lovely (at least relatively calm) breakfast in a country house hotel.

Excellent location for the airport, facilities and value for money on the accommodation and spa. We used the evening spa which was well priced and had great facilities. The bar looked beautiful. The bed was super comfortable, we didn't want to leave for our flight in the morning! Despite a few points for improvement, overall we had a great stay.

Food was overpriced. Meat on the main was dry despite being slow cooked. The restaurant is packaged and priced as as fine dining but doesn't meet this. No air conditioning in the room, it was very hot and we had a desk fan which was not felt to be up to the same standard as the rest of the facilities or other hotels we have stayed in. Bathroom was dated and let the room down. It was evident that a number of staff are unhappy with the work culture.

Beautiful location. Breakfast was ok could have been better.

The staff in the restaurant were superb & my steak was excellent but the menu was uninspired and limited. I think the spa should be included in the stay. The golf & hotel should work better together. We tried to get information about the golf breaks but the staff were badly trained to cross sell the facilities. I found the information quicker on my phone! The price of the room is as good but everything else was very expensive and not good value for money.

The room was large, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was good. The bar food was very good and at breakfast there was a excellent selection of food and drinks on offer. We were celebrating our golden wedding anniversary and the concierge made us feel very welcome, providing a celebration drink in our room.

The hotel didn’t provide four rooms close together. Our daughter and grandson were far away on a different floor.

The grounds of the building and the decor inside was very nice the room was okay the spa was lovely. The menu was limited but what we had was lovely the champagne bar was very nice and also the breakfast options was very very good

More variety on the menu for the Carrington grill You had to pay extra to gain Basic access to the hotels swimming pool. Had to switch rooms as our room was really hot and went to put the fan on and I got covered in dust once lifting the fan
