Most of all the generally very young staff were always friendly, polite and helpful. The standard of the breakfast was varied and decent quality. Overall it was clean but the rooms were a little "tired" and the bathroom would undoubtedly benefit from an upgrade.

Not happy about having to pay a daily rate of £5.00 per day for car parking as we were guests staying there? On the booking the first room we were given was for a disabled or special needs person? I'm guessing it was my mistake on booking but I don't remember seeing the option beyond wanting a standard double room? Perhaps this needs to be made more obvious when booking. However as mentioned earlier the woman on the reception ( sorry couldn't see a name) was exceptionally helpful and moved us to a standard room the next day, without any issue or qualms!

The hotel was beautiful, clean and spacious. The staff were all very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. I absolutely loved the gym and swimming pool that was an added bonus. The room was large, very comfortable and had a seating area as well as the bed - again an added bonus. The food was slightly more expensive than I would normally pay but it was delicious and beautifully cooked.

I didn't like having to pay five pounds a night to park the car. I felt this should be free as it is the hotel's car park and there is nothing else around so they wouldn't have outside using their car park. This added more money to the stay which was unnecessary.

Was a really comfortable stay after a long drive from France. We ate in the restaurant in the evening which was very good! The beds were comfortable, and the air-conditioning was excellent and much appreciated, considering it was a sweltering hot day. The breakfast set up in the morning was probably the best I've seen in any hotel I've been to! My children loved the pancake machine and the fresh honey comb :)

The food was great, although the portion sizes were quite small given the high price we paid for our meals. The table service was really slow, considering there weren't many people dining. We were also the second table to be seated out of around 7 within 30 mins, yet we were the last to receive menus. Also, there wasn't sufficient lighting in the room. We had to make do with lamps, which made the room quite dark and dull. It was comfortable nonetheless!

Not our first visit so can confirm it’s still a great convenient location for Eurotunnel travelers. Friendly welcoming team. Cosier than other hotels in the area and good bar food options depending on arrival time. Still haven’t discovered pool but next time.

Still get annoyed about having to pay £5 extra for parking when clearly loads of spaces and no helipad haha. Shouldn’t be an extra for hotel guests in my opinion. Particularly when we paid for TWO double rooms and we were charged for two cars even if only three of us in one! Thankfully the bill was rectified instantly so thank you for dealing with that small 5 pound refund despite the fire alarm going off at 8am so no lie in!!!!

Good budget for money, staff were very polite and helpful, warm the guy that checked us in was a angel booking.com messed our reservation and sent us to Basildon holiday inn when our stay was in seven oaks Kent holiday inn and Jack was so understanding and patient with us when I called to inform what had happen with us and check in may be late he was very professional and had excellent customer service skills handled our query professionally and reassured me that it’s ok once u arrive everything will be ready in your room bless he deserves a bonus for his hospitality towards us. Also the food options for breakfast was fantastic so much for choice to meet each’s preferences and the breakfast staff hats of to you guys ur doing a grand job so friendly and making everyone feel so at ease and again excellent customer service.

Nothing everything was lovely and needs were met if you had any queries staff were on to meeting ur needs. only thing I can think of and say rooms needed uplifting refreshed with new decor

Connecting rooms, sausages at breakfast. Nice People at reception and helpful. Gave us advice to go to Domino's for pizza and was close to the hotel and good food so Thank you. We always Come to this hotel.

Sofabeds are very poor quality. Even a 17 year old was not able to sleep in it because of pain and discomfort. Attention to detail, taking empty tissue box and not replacing it. I asked reception and by the time we got back in the evening the cleaning crew had forgotten a second time. Reception then put a box in our room. New year chaotic info at reception about the breakfast times that made is late for breakfast twice. Lady at reception said 12 on the first, 11 at the 2nd and 10.30 after that but turns out it was 10.30 every Day.

Breakfast was very good but rather expensive for coffee cereal and a slice of toast with marmalade. £16.50 the first morning as no one had said it was cheaper if booked in advance. Lack of communication here. Next day Only £12.00, still expensive but bearable. Why was breakfast not mentioned when booking? Also the fact of no lift wasn’t mentioned until after booking in the information sent later. That being the case I would have preferred a ground floor room as I am 84yrs old .

Family Room…..So good value for money, beds were sooo comfy made it impossible to get up in the morning. Breakfast…..Hotel thinking so much for their customers offering a wide range of breakfast choice honestly was really appreciated as kids enjoyed it and so did we….really wished they had a vegan/halal variety was craving for vegan/halal sausages should actually consider to have more vegan food choice.

This is the second time we have stayed here, the reason we love this hotel is because its just over an hour to London and about hour to Hastings, the food here is very nice and the staff are so polite and very helpful, this is the hotel we like to stay at when we are visiting family and friends. the room was very comfortable and the hotel is very clean.

There is nothing not to like about this hotel.

amazing facilities included in the booking, such as swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, gym. also kids have free breakfast and breakfast is lovely.

I hurt my leg in the swimming pool, as I was stepping from the last step inside the swimming pool, I managed to do it twice, very strangely built. but once you are aware of it is fine. very nice swimming pool nonetheless. also when tried to look for takeaway, you have to be aware of not so many restaurants around, but is not an issue, we had a lovely take away from Indian restaurant, which was 5 minutes drive.
