Great, quiet location. Our room was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. We had a tasty full English breakfast every morning. Lynda is a very friendly and hospitable host. We intend to return!

The hosts of the B&B were so friendly and made us feel very welcomed. There were 3 very adorable dogs that were also very welcoming so it is great if you are a dog lover. The location was quiet and peaceful and super ideal, as we had a walking event in Bakewell which was a few minutes drive away. Our room was very cute, nicely decorated, with comfortable bed. We really enjoyed our 2 nights stay, not forgetting super tasty full English breakfast.

We are used to having showers instead of taking baths so the stay would have been even better if a shower is available to us. We did book knowing that the room comes with a bath. It was nice to have a bath after a long 10 mile walk though so it worked out fine. Bath is inside the bedroom opposite the bed so bear this in mind if you are looking to share the room with someone that you are not comfortable being naked around =P

Very friendly hosts. Breakfast was lovely and Linda couldn't have been anymore accomadating. Great location to visit Chatsworth and surrounding areas. 10 min drive into Matlock town, with a variety of shops and places of interest near. Would recommend for cosy cottage vibes.

Location is on a busy road and in the winter where it can be darker earlier, it was easy to miss turning, when we didn't know area well.

I came to stay for a little retreat for myself, and the bathtub in the room was a dream come true. The decor is gorgeous, and the host, Lynda, made me feel very welcome. I slept 9 hrs a night in a comfortable bed and bed linen. The area is a delight to wander around (Peak Village is just 5 minutes away). I would come back again (try the summer this time around). Oooh I forgot, delicious home-made breakfast too!

Attractive cottage accommodation. Cosy and warm and quiet. Warm welcome from the host, and lovely home cooked breakfasts. Nice modern breakfast. Guests also have use of a shared lounge with TV if they wish. Only two rooms on site so quite private. Plenty of free parking. Good location on edge of Peak District Nat Park.

Bed was smaller than we're used to but it was fine, and comfy enough. WiFi was a little flaky at times.

The cottage was absolutely lovely - it looked great from the listing and photos but even more so in person! Everything was clean, stylish, had a real country cottage feel and was perfect for our needs. The bed was comfy, the facilities were great and the luxury of having a 'proper' bath in the room was great, there's no better feeling than coming home after a day of walking through the national park in the rain - laying in the bath whilst you watch TV and enjoy a glass! The hosts were very accommodating and friendly, the continental breakfast offering was one of the best we've had - lovely fresh fruit and yoghurt, toast with tasty homemade jams and some of the best crossaints/pastries we've had! Location is great for the national park and it's literally around 6-7 mins drive to Bakewell. For food you have pubs within 5 min walks which of course you can go for a drink at too. Would love to come again. Ps - if you like dogs, the owners have 2 very friendly Spaniels!

That we had to come home

The setting was really lovely, easy to get to many nearby towns and villages like Bakewell and Hathersage, and despite the unfortunate rain leading us to change our walking plans, we enjoyed a lovely day at Chatsworth down the road. We were very grateful for the wonderful activity and food recommendations as well! Breakfast was great, and a lovely treat to enjoy it in the beautiful and cosy dining area. The bedroom was also really cosy with everything we needed, perfect for a weekend away.

Good full English breakfast, not sure what other options were as no menu available menu I could see. Lovely clean room though a little cool at times, however soon remedied. I loved the bath (husband not so keen he prefers showers, but appreciate not room for both). Host lovely and very accommodating . Fell in love with my little canine friends Henry and Daphne . We were allowed an earlier check in which was much appreciated.

Really missed no tv in room , as nights drawing in and getting back to cottage earlier makes for a long night. Fortunately we had iPad to watch and play games on. Location good for walkers, but need to drive to see most things

Not a criticism but bed was very firm and we prefer a soft mattress it would not put me off staying.
