I stayed here for two nights whilst sitting an exam over the course of two days which took place in the hotel. I asked for a quiet room and the room they gave me massively exceeded my expectations. It was quiet, clean and spacious. Possibly the part I will remember the most however was one of the cleaners. I was busy revising so told her I didn’t want my room cleaned but asked if I could have some more milks. She gave me as many milks and tea as she thought I would need to keep me going through two days of revision and wished me all the best. It is staff like her who make such a difference. The exam went well so thank to everyone at The Leonardo, I wish you all the best.

Nothing.

The staff were absolutely incredible. We were staying as I needed an operation at the local hospital (we were 3-4 hours away from home). It got cancelled last minute and so we were obviously very stressed and upset. We were told to stay locally just incase the hospital could fit us in. The team here made everything so much better - we got a free upgrade to a premium suite and then some discount on food and drinks. This was incredibly kind. Last minute the surgery went ahead so we needed to extend our stay, the team made this so stress free and easy and we were able to stay in the same room to save moving. Thank you so so much! We had dinner together the first night and the food was lovely. They looked after husband for dinner and breakfast whilst I was in hospital - he said it was good food and good service.

All fine - a few stains on the floor of our room but all good. They kept everything clean and we even had a fan in our room which helped us keep cool.

I stayed in town for my birthday weekend and when the hotel found out they gave me a free room upgrade which was a lovely surprise! Our bedroom / living area was beautiful and modern. The bathroom was slightly outdated but we still loved being there. Check in staff were courteous and super helpful. We ordered room service and my quinoa power bowl was delicious. we were also given late check out at no extra charge with was lovely. A great addition to my birthday weekend! I would definitely stay again

The bathroom was small and slightly outdated. we were expecting something more substantial to match the beauty of our modern bedroom but we still enjoyed the stay

Location was great for access to city centre. Big comfortable bed and staff were super lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was good value if booking the night before - £14 for two on hot/cold buffet (but don't get there too late)

Limited parking so just about got a spot at additional £5. Oddly a couple things out of place in our room and empty water bottle left on the side when we arrived - likely maintancence just been in? Net curtains could do with a wash as pretty dusty. Recomend getting to breakfast earlier as ever, hot food wasnt too appetising having been sat out a while e.g. bacon swimming in oil... Also big watch out if vegetarian as things weren't separated well and same serving spoons being used for meat / veggie dishes

Our three-night stay was really nice. This is the second time we've stayed at the hotel so we knew what to expect - the rooms are clean and comfortable. We met the lady who did our housekeeping and she was lovely, by leaving a couple of biscuits and a picture of a smiley face next to our daughter's teddy bear whilst we were out for the day - little touches like this really make a difference. We ate in the bar one evening and the food was nice. The included use of the pool and leisure facilities was great. The car park is small but we managed to get a space each day we returned with our car, though it can fill up at busier times.

Excellent breakfast served until 11am with everything really well stocked, no issues with seating and a huge range of different options offer. Twin room had a king and single which was a nice surprise. Room well decorated with no issues and some good welcome touches in place Easy walk to train, restaurants and football stadium (our reason for travelling) Good value for money Clean bathroom

Sheets weren’t tucked in and were literally laid on bed Towels set out for just one of the two of us staying No local information about things to do Would not have liked to walk to the hotel from the station alone in the dark

Fresh modern interior. Lifts. Small swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Padlocks for lockers and fresh towels. Most Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, holding our bags in reception as we arrived early, free upgrade which was appreciated, Lovely bar staff. Big room, very comfortable. Great bed. Fridge with water, crisps and chocolate. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Hair dryer, iron and board. Close to shops.

Hard to dislike anything to be fair. If I had to say anything negative it would be more attention to detail by the room cleaners. Two large stains on room carpet, dirt round wc/bathroom door handle and door, toothpaste marks on bathroom taps and mirror, dirt marks on tiles by wc. But in all minor gripes.

The hotel allowed us to check-in early as we had travelled up from London for a funeral and needed to change and freshen up. The room was clean and more than adequate. The bed was very comfortable and a large double. The use of the gym and pool is an added bonus.

The room service was a little disappointing. We tried to order food at 1pm and were only able to get soup and sandwiches. Likewise we tried to order items at 10.30pm from the 24hr menu and was advised it would be quicker to order from just eat as there was no chef available

Very friendly staff, easy to find off the main road and handy onsite parking. Room was tidy and well presented, only had breakfast at the hotel but the bar/restaurant area was nice looking and comfortable.

Although the room was clean and tidy it was looking a little worn, there was a mattress topper on the bed but it didn't fit properly and the pillows were either rockhard or had no support at all. The windows appeared to be doubleglazed but didn't do much of a job in keepingthe road noise out.

The room was fine and clean and comfortable. The round table was sort of redundant as it made it difficult to get into and out of bed situated where it was n the room. The staff throughout were excellent and Katy in the bar was exceptional keeping everyone calm and informed when a situation arose. The breakfast truly could not be faulted being fresh varied and extensive.

The toaster in the breakfast room was unpredictable a one side wonder! The room had too much furniture for the space.
