This should have been a 5 star review. The reservation team were really helpful, the check in was excellent, very comfortable, spotlessly clean hotel, breakfest was amazing and the room was excellent and sound proof. Nice shower. Just a really great overall experience. Thank you!

Modern, clean, fabulous breakfast, exceptionally helpful staff (Thomas), comfortable room, food available til late, late check out. All in all, great stay!

The exact room I booked was not given to us when we arrived with no real reason why. I had booked the superior Queen room so I had the additional choice of using the sofa bed if needed due to a physical health problem. I was offered a twin room which wasn't suitable but was then offered a standard queen (without sofa bed) which we had to accept as best case alternative. I was however given extra pillows upon request but we were not happy to have not received the room we booked and without prior notification too. Not professional.

Lady on reception very friendly and welcoming. When we mentioned in passing about noisy guests the night before she seemed genuinely interested and concerned on our behalf. I felt she actually cared

Breakfast was carnage!! Too many guests all trying to get through a small area. Coffee dispenser machines were very slow and caused a queue.. Bacon and sausage were both undercooked and it was disappointing that there were only scrambled eggs available. Never been to a hotel that didn’t offer fried eggs as a basic.

We have stayed here 3 times now, and the Queen suite is amazing, it’s big enough for our family of 5. The breakfast is fabulous, the waffle maker in particular was a hit with my kids. All the staff were friendly and willing to help. A special shout out to Syrah, who went above and beyond to make our stay as memorable as possible. we will definitely return.

If I am nit picking, I would say there could be a mirror near the dressing table, and the bathroom sink unit is flat, so excess water does spill onto the floor. But this is me really nit picking!

It was easy to book online. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The shower was nice and powerful, plenty of towels. The bar area had snacks The location is good. Teesbarrage is local if you wanted some adventure The globe is up the road, walking distance for entertainment, gigs etc... The town centre is a 3 minute walk.

The men's bathroom in the bar was dirty and had to be reported to staff. The bottom of the shower in the room was in need of a clean, black mould remover would help. The fan in the bathroom wasn't working well and there was no heating in the room when we arrived which took a while to sort out. Only tea and coffee in the room, we can't have either so hot choc would be a great alternative if possible to request if needed There was no information in the room about how to contact reception or if room.service was available..

location great for the globe and Asda and access to the A19 for days out of town. local pubs near by. close to the river. police station 2 minutes away but don’t hear anything once in hotel. ( sirens). public swim pool 2 minutes away so if you fancy a swim bring you truck/ costume.

lots of homeless in town centre begging. but none near the actual hotel , big car park but fill up fast on Saturday but they have an overflow behind hotel which is free to park on the weekend.

Comfortable beds though only twin beds available without supplement.

A double room was not available unless a supplement was paid which was a little disappointing. Same for river view, this was a further supplement, this information was not clear at booking. Breakfast choice should have been good but most things were either gone or needed topping up, not many staff around, all a little chaotic. Charge parking not clear when booked though good car park

Booking through booking.com. I asked for a recepit when leaving and they told me because I've booked through Booking.com and prepaid they would provide an invoice directly. I've tried to get an invoice but can't locate where to get one from on the website. I've tried to contact booking.com but no joy there. no one's got back to me to help me. No phone number to call either. I will be using another app in future for booking my hotels

I love the friendliness of the staff, everyone is really lovely and nothing is too much trouble. I love the room , the bed is so comfortable and the shower is amazing. Lots of fluffy white towels which are replaced every day. I love the toileteries, they smell divine.

I didn't like the fact that the toiletries aren't kept topped up. Especially the lotion. Even though the container looked full it actually only had a little bit in there. That's my only complaint. Everything else is fab.

The room had a wonderful view of the bridge lit up. The hotel is quiet and very clean and modern and high spec The staff were so polite, professional and respectful.. I mean every staff member I met was really professional and helpful. Good location as 5 mins walk to high street. Felt very safe. Great breakfast. Large single beds, WiFi tv etc.

One small thing I didn't want to mention and a snag really... the safe in my room had low battery so would not work. Also good air con system but you cannot open the windows in the room.
