The room was brilliant with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There was a lift which was good when we arrived for taking our luggage up to the room which was conveniently at the top of the first flight of stairs for the rest of our stay. A lovely room overlooking the gardens which were quite extensive. The staff were excellent very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice to meet all needs.

The only thing that spoiled the trip a little bit - it was my birthday and we stayed in the hotel for a meal in the evening- they were very good in giving us an option for the bar meals on offer but unfortunately the chips served with the meal were very sub standard- and not what we would expect in a hotel of this quality. They were pale and limp and I think they could do better.

All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and did everything they could to make our stay a pleasant and comfortable one. The hotel is an old property and very traditional in style but this is an asset which adds to its appeal. It has amazing landscaped gardens with plenty of garden furniture which you can sit out in and enjoy watching the squirrels running around and beautiful reading rooms to enjoy the peace and quiet. The food was lovely and of great quality and they even brought our dog a sausage every day for her breakfast!

It would have helped if there had been better organisation and ownership of tasks and better communication between the staff on occasions just to ensure timely service delivery, but this did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay and the efforts which all of the staff went to to try and make guests as welcome and comfortable as possible.

The hotel was nicely located, had parking area, beautiful garden and was only a short distance from the seafront. Everyone in the hotel was very nice, friendly and helpful. Our room was clean comfortable and quiet. Perhaps not very modern but I loved it. I also really liked that my booking included breakfat (there was a choice on the menu for full English breakfast ) and there was also an option to add dinner the the room booking, which was great. No need to look around for place to eat. The food was tasty and well presented and waiting staff was attentive. I really enjoy my stay. Thank you.

Me and my partner felt very welcome,we think the lady on arrival was sourh African,very professional and happy to help with anything we required.very friendly and polite,we also feel in love with Wendy in the bar and the beautiful restaurant that this wonderful hotel offered,she was a total breath of fresh air,plus the wonderful man who seated us to our table for breakfast this morning.a very wonderful team of lovely people.nothing was no trouble.given I lost my brother a month ago and my partner who worked back to back for six days,this is such a highly recommendation to anyone who needs to get away.the garden and the grounds are to die for.it was a total breath of fresh air.i can honestly say that I will be revisiting this wonderful hotel again.credit to all that made my visit a memorable stay.love to you all.carl Weston-super-Mare room 15 was fabulous to.X

Nothing.it was perfect from start to finish.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. My bedroom and bathroom were very clean. It was also useful to have access to a lift.. There was a pretty walk through the garden which brought you out near the seafront or shops which meant you could leave the car in the car park. I really appreciated having a clean towel each time I used the swimming pool. There were several single guests like myself staying but you did not feel awkward being on your own.

The actual bedroom was adequate but quite small. The approach to the swimming pool had rather steep steps down to the basement.

The staff were amazing! So attentive and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble you have an amazing team. Swimming pool very clean and well maintained. Breakfast had a good variety and was very nice. Gardens are beautiful. We will definately be back.

The entertainment finished a little early but this is to cater for guests that want to go to bed early. Our family room was right next to the top of the stairs. This wasn't a problem once we were settled so I didn't mention it but it was my first initial thought especially for someone with small children but not sure how this would be resolved. The lift is very old school so I was a bit weary at first as the door and gate are heavy but all worked well and maintained well.

Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. Just a few steps away from the beach, dog friendly at this time of year, the sunrises across the bay were some of the very best I have ever seen. A short walk through the park to the town. Facilities excellent, loved the swimming pool, food was also also excellent, pubs and restaurants within a short distance, although we ate at the hotel for breakfast and dinner, the dogs were spoiled rotten too. Good value for money. I would highly recommend a stay at the Northfield Hotel.

I really couldn't criticise anything about the Northfield Hotel, there is nothing not to like.

Really nice hotel, our room was clean and cozy, very nice view from the window! The bed was very comfortable. The hotel has a fantastic garden, great for sitting and relaxing. The receptionist who did the check-in was great! Nice and very friendly, great attitude! The hotel is short walking distance to the town and beach. Had a really relaxing break!

The hotel is a bit outdated, but nice decor and clean. The pool area is small and not great. However, it was not a major issue!

Large Shower Room with large heated towel rail (lovely warm towels}, extractor fan and large tilting mirror. Shampoo and Conditioner supplied. Room was warm and comfortable. Bed was very large, clean and comfortable. Plenty of storage for clothes Location and parking were very good. Lift to second floor to make life easy when arriving and departing with luggage. Use of swimming pool and towel provided was a real bonus. Breakfast was excellent, waiter was very efficient and friendly, nothing too much trouble.

There was nothing to dislike about our room

The room was outstanding. The hotel may be a little dated, but that was fine by us. Obviously a lot goes into keeping it up to scratch. There were details such as a light switch INSIDE the bathroom (so you don't wake a partner up), and, despite the shower being above the bath, there was a grab rail provided. We especially appreciated the bar and bar meals, and the quality of service there!

We were disappointed by the quality of the restaurant food, both breakfasts and evening service. We felt that although presentation was good, there was a "catering down". In other words it would better suit those who "eat to live" rather than those who "live to eat". It would win no awards for haute cuisine, although the prices are on the high side. There was much that was visibly "bought in" rather than your own and distinctive. Possibly this best suits the main clientele though!
